Well where do i start! Our shallow well jet pump went out, so I called Tuckers. The owner comes out and tells me he has a pump that only contractors can get, and that it's a $600 pump. So they show up and install it. After they leave I figured I'd just see what kind of pump it was that made it worth $600. I find the same pump all over that range in price from $319 up to $430 depending on where you purchase it. So I get a bill for $695 for the pump, about $25 in tax and $225 in labor. I talk to the owner because I assumed the bill was wrong. He tells me if I wanted it cheaper should have done it myself. I told him i understand he has to mark it up a little, but double what I can purchase it for? He told me to show him by sending screenshots, so I did. I then called him and he let me know that's how they make money by marking up products like that. I thought that's why you pay labor? So I call the lady at the front desk. I've always found her to be pleasant.... UNTIL I QUESTIONED THE BILL!! I couldn't believe how unprofessional she was with her language and tone. She let me know how tired she was of people calling because they are upset with how much they were charged for a part. That if I wanted too I could bring it back!!!! After a couple curse words and hostility, i asked her if this is how she deals with unhappy customers, which she replies "only customers like you". Then she tells me to hold to take another call. We get disconnected and she calls me back to tell me they will knock $100 off of the price. So if you wanna dish out almost double what a part would cost everyone else in the world then CALL TUCKERS!!!!!!! read more
