I live in a "senior" mobile home community. Recently, one of the TEP transformers in our park "blew". A TEP agent came out to investigate and admitted they had the wrong size transformer in place. They had to install a larger one. It took eight hours to show up, and one hour to replace it. Nine hours total. I lost $17 of perishable food that was in my fridge. I filled out a claim. They denied it. Anyone know whom I can elevate my complaint to? Guess I should be lucky that It didn't damage my fridge, central ac, or my 75 inch smart TV due to their negligence. Oddly, 7 of those huge trucks came out at the same time..... like a convoy. 6 trucks and employees did nothing as the 7th did all the work. Seemed rather inefficient. If TEP had competition, maybe they'd try harder to keep customers happy. But they don't...... so they won't. Is that about right? Please correct me if I'm wrong. read more

In the last few weeks our sub-division has been experiencing many electricity service interruptions from our wonderful electricity monopoly which is owned by Unisource. Several emails sent to TEP executives about this went unanswered. An email sent to the Arizona Corporation Commission regarding the matter resulted in a TEP representative contacting me. She indicated that some equipment in our area needed attention due to lack of preventative maintenance. With TEP's increased rates equating to more revenue realized does not mean these funds are being used on its infrastructure or for preventative maintenance being performed. I took the entire day off work because they said they'd be at my house between 7 and 11 AM to change my meter that was mandatory. They never showed up and they never called very disappointed with this company and the service these days. I wish I could go somewhere else. read more

Seriously, I have never been more disrespected by a customer service representative in my entire life. If you can avoid using TEP do, because you will lose a lot of money and get treated awful. I have used TEP for the last two places I lived in in Tucson, the last one being an apartment. When I moved and had to transfer my account and information to the new location I called TEP to do so and they were so rude and not helpful at all with the process. Then when moving out of the last home, I submitted a request online to stop my account and end my billing. IT IMMEDIATELY KICKED ME OUT OF MY ACCOUNT AND WOULDN'T LET ME BACK IN! I tried multiple times to access this account again so that I could make sure my billing had ended but it told me my email was linked to no account and my account # was INCORRECT...? I recently just received a bill from TEP (when I was moved out for a month now without their service). When I called them to discuss the bill they were so rude and inconsiderate. They first told me that I never registered my email with their system, THAT I HAD BEEN USING TO PAY MY BILLS, RECEIVE UPDATES, AND TRACK MY USAGE ON for the last 4 years!!! The representative spoke to me in with so much sass and attitude while not offering a solution to this problem just to get over it and pay my bill. Extremely rude, unprofessional and a waste of time. Never use this company if you want to be treated like a worthless human being and waste hundreds of dollars. read more

Moved from an apartment to a house in the beginning of August. Used the TEP website to start service at the new house and and stop service at my apartment. Everything went smooth upfront. Got my bill for electric and noticed I was charged about $47 for electric at my old apartment. I called and asked why this happened since I transferred service online (start/stop). They said my webpage timed out when I did the stop service and it didn't go through (even though my new service was activated?) so I am liable for the charges. $47 may not seem like much, but it really sucks to pay as a broke college student. I think it was a technical error and I ended up paying for it as the customer. read more

I had service when I lived in Tucson AZ. I canceled service Aug 27th. There was a last bill in Sept 2021. TEP charged my credit card again in Oct 2021. I called. They say they have no record of cancelation.and will keep the money. The bill in Sept was $120+ and the charge in Oct was $25. TEP is stealing from consumers when they will not stop or return the charge after service was canceled. Typical AZ. Be aware of AZ TEP. So glad not to live in AZ. read more

Worst utility in my 12 moves in 12 states. Document and keep everything! I shut off service and 8 months later I am still getting billed for 3 months I didn't live in a rental. Even with confirmation numbers and documentation they still are trying to trash my credit. read more

Terrible phone service. I was quoted an 18 minute wait time. As I type this review, I've been on hold 35:52 minutes.

Not my favorite electric provider but I don't have any other real choice. Their main lobby is pretty nice though, idk 3 stars. I wish I had more friends hah read more

Good Morning, I'm writing this because I'm absolutely furious at the way this account was handled. It seems no one cares, I have tried to communicate with several of your customer service people, to no avail. So one more attempt to maybe save someone else from frustration/heart ache in the future. My Grandmother, passed away in Feb 2018. I had her tep account on auto pay from her checking account. With everything going on I forgot and when we closed the account, I NEVER received an email on being delinquent. NEVER received disconnect notice by email or mail. Just a pink note on the door when it was disconnected. Of course on Fri, so I paid complete and paid the fee over the phone, but still no electric over the weekend. I canceled all auto payments and was under the understanding that it was paid in full. Then I get a "Pre-collection" notice 2 days after receiving a bill in the mail, that I called on and requested last 3 bills so I could make sense of why there was still a balance. She had service with you guys over 50 years, always paid her bills. This is very disheartening to be treated this way, let alone twice. I have sent final payment today and wish there was another option for electric. Hopefully you can put fail safes in place that even if it's on auto pay, that maybe at least one notice goes out by mail before being disconnected. read more
