On the day of our event, it was absolutely pouring rain, but their team did everything in their power to make it work. Their staff was outside helping dry the cement as much as possible, moving tables and chairs, and adjusting layouts on the fly. They were proactive, supportive, and never once made it feel like our event was a burden. When we ultimately decided to move the party into the warehouse, they immediately sent over their entire team and generously allowed us to use their tables, chairs, banquet tables, heaters, and even a cleaning crew. This event simply would not have been possible without their help. As soon as we arrived at the warehouse, they jumped in to assist with setup while my team and I were decorating. They even offered to let us keep the tables and chairs after hours. What truly stood out was their commitment they stayed for the entire event, helped with cleanup, and made sure everything was put away. Our employees had nothing but great things to say about the experience and how much fun they had. It was pouring rain, and instead of making a reasonable decision to move the event, the owners stubbornly insisted on keeping it at their venue, even though it was completely obvious it wouldn't work. At the very last minute, everything had to be moved to our warehouse just so the event could even happen. The amount of disorganization was unbelievable. When we got there, it somehow got worse. Only two people were trying to set up the entire event by themselves. Two. The owner was nowhere in sight, and it was painfully clear that nothing had been planned out. We even had to find our own bartender the same day because Evergreen didn't bother to provide one. Throughout the night, those two workers were doing everything, setting up, running around, keeping things together, and honestly, they deserved far more support than they got. If Evergreen had actually provided staffing, preparation, or leadership, the whole event wouldn't have been such a disaster. I can say without hesitation that I would not recommend booking any events here EVER AGAIN. The whole experience screamed understaffing, zero accountability, and complete lack of professionalism. As an attendee, it was frustrating, chaotic, and absolutely unacceptable. This venue is not reliable, not prepared, and not worth anyone's trust.

On 12/17 Charles finally returned my call to inform me the date Julia told me was available was actually not available. After sending out the tentative date to the family who are flying in from out of state. The Veterans Memorial needs to 1)Put someone responsible in charge of providing information & date look up 2) Have a valid system in place to include a basic email when they cannot answer the phone 3) Offer payments over the phone for people out of state would not recommend dealing with this non profit.

I did not see anybody being unkind to the pets, but there was not enough staff to patrol the people and keep the animals safe. Some of the animals backed away when I tried to pet them, even though I was being gentle. I hope they have alternative space and shelter to the ones I saw.

They include so much including the furniture and lighting, and we got a good deal on the dance floor. We chose this venue because it encompasses what we love about Visalia, with the greenery and the oak trees. Many of my guests have commented on how beautiful it was and thought it was very unique. The only concerns were regarding the bridge getting to the venue, but we did not have problems with it, and with getting our rentals out the night of the wedding, but it was easy to coordinate. This basically resulted in the wedding feeling very "over" when we still had a lot of time that we paid for- I would have loved to dance the rest of the night away but because everything was already cleaned up- people thought it was over. I was a distracted bride and didn't realize what was going on until almost every table was empty - the staff seemed like they were in a rush to go home. The most upsetting issue was earlier in the day, our coordinator from the venue did not communicate with my family which resulted in my grandparents sitting in the back of my wedding. I would like to emphasize we only had about 75 people, less than 10 of those were my blood family and my grandparents SAT AT THE BACK. I can't believe a venue could not handle directing the traffic of 75 people. SEVERAL of my guest approached me after the wedding to say they felt uncomfortable before the wedding from the treatment they were receiving. My wedding cake was also put out incorrectly which resulted in hideous holes on the top of my cake ( I wish I was kidding) . I am a very type B person, I tried to make this wedding as simple as possible and I was extremely let down by this venue. I won't even get into the $200 that went missing at my wedding that they didn't seem to find on camera. Simply don't get married here- take your money somewhere else. All you will get is a $100 gift card to a breakfast restaurant as an apology.
