I have been going to her for about a year for a monthly 1 hour massage and I always leave relaxed and all soreness disappears. It really helps me get through each month - I sit at a computer 40 hours a day and my back and neck are always dying. I have been to massage therapists before that left me in more pain than when I went in - Sarah is the complete opposite - she knows exactly what she is doing and knows what areas need work on and when to be gentle. She's been working on a bicep tendon tear and rotator cuff tendonitis in my right shoulder, and what used to be constant pain and popping now feels almost normal. I leave pain-free for a week or two, and each visit, there's less to work through. This is actual progress. What I didn't realize until my second or third visit was how incredibly gifted she is in so many different healing modalities -- from energy work and craniosacral therapy to fascia release and of course the breathing. The fascia release can definitely be intense at times, but incredibly effective for those injuries and deep tension patterns that just don't seem to go away after traditional massage. She worked her magic on me this past week as I was beginning to feel immense pain in my shoulder and lower back. Upon arrival, she was great in building rapport and addressing the areas in which I'd like to focus in on the session. The atmosphere was very calm and soothing: dim lights, earthy aroma, and an individualized private space. Her technique is truly unique. She has a lot of strength and really worked through most of my knots. I asked her to build upon pressure as I wasn't quite ready for the full effect! She explained to me the ways in which she was targeting certain muscle groups and made me feel very comfortable throughout the way. Rather than focusing on the entire body, her goal is to soothe target areas to essentially create harmony within the body. For a private space, parking lot, and hospitality, a session a little under an hour and a half runs for a very reasonable price.
