I had a very positive experience with Tully Rinckey. Attorney Daniel Meyer was knowledgeable, professional, and patient. He listened carefully to my concerns, clearly explained the security-clearance process, and answered all my questions. The scheduling staff was also courteous and responsive. I would recommend the firm to others needing guidance in this area. read more

** Tully Rinckey's response to my reviews is disingenuous. We already addressed this matter directly with Mr Hogan. The only options presented were to continue paying TR to correct their mistakes in their work--despite them already having the necessary information and documentation--or to close the matter and receive only the unused portion of the retainer. Mr Hogan had the opportunity to resolve this privately and chose not to. ** Our experience with Partner Derrick T. Hogan was extremely disheartening. After I raised legitimate concerns regarding defective, factually inaccurate, and a legally weak demand letter produced by the firm, Mr. Hogan treated the issue as though we were simply dissatisfied with a draft. The firm already possessed the necessary information and documentation to prepare the demand letter , yet we were effectively expected to pay additional fees to correct mistakes that should have never occurred. During our phone call, Mr. Hogan repeatedly emphasized that he was a "Partner" while minimizing the substance of my concerns. He did not meaningfully address the factual errors, omissions, weak legal posture, or the firm's failure to properly handle a serious matter involving retaliation and safety issues. This matter severely affects my 88-year-old mother and our household. We had already been dealing with a destabilizing situation for approximately a year and a half, and I expected someone serving on the Client Assurance Committee to listen carefully, investigate what had gone wrong, and help resolve the problem. Instead, the conversation felt focused on defending the firm's inaccurate work product and billing rather than understanding the deficiencies I had identified. Mr Hogan did not provide a meaningful remedy, the options presented were essentially to continue paying for revisions or close the matter and receive only the unused portion of the retainer. This left us with an unusable draft after a substantial portion of our retainer had already been billed. Mr. Hogan's approach was dismissive, condescending, and unhelpful. I would caution anyone seeking capable, considerate, and zealous advocacy to look elsewhere. I cannot recommend Mr Hogan or Tully Rinckey. read more

This was the worst law office I have ever dealt with. Beside pushing me to the back burner for a simple military upgrade 7 yrs later and 5 lawyers later, I get a lawyer who doesn't like my kind, but hey what ever, but when we agree on things and he waits (4 months) for me to call so he can charge me 400.00 for issues he should have been dealing with but he forgot until I send him the email we stated it. Sorry so much hate and anger against this company for taking advantage 1st a veteran who was blind to a promise and then nicely removed 6000.00 from me and nothing except if you pay more we can go further. 20yrs is a long time to fight the military for a simple upgrade from administration to honorable. I can say thank you tully for being like our government and no helping the veterans from 1992 just take our money like the government does. If people would like more info email me at polarbeard_s@yahoo.com we can exchange # and talk read more

My husband is a combat Veteran 82nd airborne with two tours in Somalia. We purchased our NNY property with a VA loan. We experienced immediate issues with a property easement where we are the servient estate. The dominant estate was/is creating an undue burden with an out-of-code hazardous utility panel. Not only is there a burden to the property owners (the Veteran family), there is also an infringement on the property title. We hired the Latham NY office of Tully Rinckey and they gave our case to Carol Crossett (Partner, Manhattan) who is perhaps the most obnoxiously arrogant, rude, unethical, shrew on the face of this planet. In addition to her terrible demeanor, she was lazy and her grasp of property law is apparently so piss poor that she tried to convince us, her client, the Veteran family, to pay for all of the costs to resolve the overburdened easement and infringement. Opposing counsel admitted in court documents that she told him that we didn't have a case. Further, she drained the $15k retainer by pretending that she couldn't understand the difference between a utility panel, a utility meter, and a utility pole. She feined ignorance to elicit explanation emails so she then bill us for responses to her nonsensical questions. It was one big grift. Luckily, another firm stepped in at no cost to us to resolve the civil dispute, and at no expense to us. Tully Rinckey doesn't support Veterans, they exploit them. read more

Contact this law firm back in October 2024, signed contract November 3rd and paid $2600 for an eviction of a tenant. Mid November I called and talked to my assigned lawyer since he didn't contact me. I was informed things were on track and the tenant would be out by January 1st. Beginning of December called my lawyer, called again nothing, nothing, nothing over and over again. In late January, I received a notice of my bill. Over a $1000 of my $2600 was used. Hold on, used I what? My lawyer hasn't talked to me, January 1st came and went (lost potential new tenants) and your trying to tell me I used have of my money. I wrote to the managing lawyer. I asked for my money back. I then received a letter saying my lawyer is on extended leave due to personal reasons. You are now assigned to another lawyer. I talk to new lawyer in February. He informs us that he was assigned our case and this other really great case that he can't wait to work on. Our case will be over soon and our tenant will be removed. We are starting over, cool. Filled new lawyer in he is ready to go. Then crickets. March, can I please get an update. Nothing. And this went on until June. Finally June 17 is our court date. June 16 I received a call from our lawyer. Everything is all set for tomorrow but I won't be there I have a conference call. He is sending another lawyer who is up to date on our case. June 17, 3rd lawyer shows up for court (I'm still not convinced she is a lawyer). The only thing that she said during court was her name. I spoke the whole time. Judge informs us tenant has 30 days to get out, he asks the tenant if he need more time than that and he says sure, my new 3rd lawyer, nothing. Not a word, objection, excuse me nothing. Tenant get until July 31st to get out. So a simple eviction took Tully and Rinckey 9 MONTHS to get my tenant removed. 9 months of no rent being paid, but we are paying this half assed lawyer group to basically drag their asses. Then, icing on the cake then send me a final bill in august asking for additional $250 and it needs to be paid immediately. So simple eviction took cost $2900, I lost 9 additional months rent coming in on top of what the tenant already owed. Talk about get screwed by your own lawyers. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. UNLESS ITS A BIG CASE THAT THEY ARE EXCITED ABOUT. read more

After having written an earlier review and then agreeing to remove it for a payment from Tully Rinckey I have found even more disturbing information about my Father's estate that was handled by Carrol Crosset, a partner at Tully Rinckey. First I would like to express that I have a right to my opinion and there is no amount of money that will make me remove this review so they should not bother sicking their HR department on me again! To start off, Miss Crossett is probably the most nasty and arrogant person that I have encountered in my entire life. In the beginning of my case she told me that she was not sure what they had even given her my TEN MILLION DOLLAR case because she felt it was beneath her...rather arrogant, yes! Then after several months of pleading with her to bring the case back to a realm of civil discussion over and over when she repeatedly became irate with me for wanting to know the whys and hows of what was going on with my case, she enticed me to sign off on the final releases without ever telling me that I had other options to settle the most bizarre and ridiculous happenings in this estate that was wrought with perjury, embezzlement and accounting trickery . She never even told me that I could appeal afterward. The only thing that she was interested in was taking my seventy five grand and then getting rid of me as soon as possible, leaving me with a total mess and being totally screwed out of my father's estate. Be wary of these people, they are very nasty and underhanded wanting nothing but your money and a quick resolution regardless of what happens to you. Now my entire retirement is gone thanks to her! If I could leave a minus ten stars I would! read more

Retained the firm for a simple uncontested divorce that was written for them. Attorney Daniel Gvertz had drawn out communications over months, couldn't handle dates and signatures, and admitted to filing incorrectly. Meanwhile fees are being racked up, also by a partner supervising the case. Daniel refused to draw documents to finalize the divorce as written, with the opposing party also begging for fair and ethical conclusion, while that is clearly stated in the retainer. Along with being updated, to which I was not. Once the court returned documents of judgement, Daniel split leaving me and the other lawyer to question everything. Daniel then refused to represent stating they have completed whatever they felt they had done, while also creating bogus documents for me and my ex wife to sign behind her attorneys back. All evidence of begging for months and then failing had been reason for refund that they refused. They then made up a "client assurance committee" that wasn't concerned in the first four months of my begging to tell me they performed their job. Then filed with the BBB to which no one read the emails of Daniel refusing service, and refusing to create documents their retainer clearly states they are responsible for. Partner responds that any details break client attorney privilege and the firm completed their job. Two partners couldn't explain to me what the firm had done, I had given clear evidence of them performing like it was their first day. Avoid at all costs, even the partners can't read emails of clear negligence. read more

I contacted Tully Rinckey for legal advice for a moving scam situation. The attorney was excellent. He guided me to the next step to take, and it was not hiring his firm. Having had a very difficult divorce 17 years ago and having to now close out that chapter of my life, as child support comes to a close, I felt totally at ease speaking with Mr Michael Liptrot, for my initial consultation, to represent my case. As Attorneys go, I felt the high level of integrity in his voice, and empathy, while planning on representing my case. I worked with Attorney Allen Shoikhetbrod. I was really pleased with my representation. When there was a need he contacted me right away. There were times in the waiting process of my case where he did not always reply, but in retrospect this was because there was nothing new he could tell me and he ended up saving me money, he was able to help me using just over half of my $5000 retainer. I was shocked when I heard there was a remainder to my retainer. read more

I should have done this before !!! Several years ago firm was hired to represent Granddaughter in a school matter . Went to Albany sat down with attorney and discussed what we wanted gave deposit and on way back to Binghamton thought how happy with attorney and what was discussed. Over next few months we had several discussions and reviewed items that we FOILED from school district . It was at this time all communications ceased .I finally called law firm and asked for i believe Gus ! Oh he is no longer with firm . I blew a bit and asked when i was going to be notified ? New lawyer called next day and said " My name is Doug and i will be handling your case and i will be making you ,daughter and grandaughter $$.I said ur missing the point it is Right or Wrong !! After months of him doing whatever we were told some kind of legal BS to this day not sure what it was !! But low and behold Doug thought we could win on appeal but needs $$$$$ . Worst representation one could ever have . Believe he is no longer with firm !! I wrote to the firm a lengthy foul worded letter on exactly what i thought of FIRM . Not really happy with myself on wording but to this day this upsets me !! Even with a signed statment with admission of guilt from accused !!!! Terrible firm I recieved email firm has new attorney handling Title 9 etc all i can say is good luck !! I would never, in good faith, recommend this law firm to anyone. Their tenacity and communication was limited to hooking you as a client. Pretty much all communication was limited to that which I initiated. Their "aggressive" representation was limited to an offer to write a tersely worded letter after I complained that the US Army had completely ignored the FOIA request. If you need legal representation PLEASE do yourself a favor and find another firm. This firm is a complete waste of time, effort, and money. read more

As the first reviewer said these guys are horrible. The attorney I'm most focused on is Gavin Routt. In anticipation of this company weaseling out responding like they did with the review by reagan I will say nothing in this message violating attorney-client privilege so everything here could be responded to in the open. My issue pertained to getting discharged from active duty so it was pretty straight forward compared to other situations I've heard of. During the initial consult I was told by Greg Rinckey that he himself would be my attorney. This was great given his claimed experience level. But once I later paid the retainer ($3500) I found out my attorney would be a kid named Gavin Routt. I looked him up on Linkedin and he looked like he just graduated high school. Gavin Routt would not respond to most of the phone calls I made to him to include my emails. Worse was he charged $26 per six minute increment of work. From looking at the itemized billing (that's how it is with retainers instead of flat fees) every time he called me and had to leave a message I was charged $26. The reason I missed many of his calls was because the building I worked in had lousy reception. I told Gavin this repeatedly in advance and that he would need to send me a text or something just before calling so I could find a good spot to receive a call. He never followed my advice leading me to think he was not listening to me and also not reading my emails. He never outlined any strategy for how to handle the situation until I insisted to know what it was just before firing him. The biggest issue was not refunding the retainer. I initially had to pay $3500 to start things off. After Gavin Routt drained it he said I had to refill the retainer. But shortly after refilling it I decided to fire him and that meant I should get all of it back minus about $100 to 200 for recent charges. Gavin Routt refunded NONE of it. In emails and in phone calls he acknowledged I would get the refund and now we are two months later and they refuse to refund it. But they always said nice things when I corresponded with them. I even contacted Gavin Routt's boss Robert Rock and his entire response was "I am sorry for the hold up. I am checking with finance to see what has happened and make sure this gets out today." I think "today" is relative as days are measured on Jupiter because it has been several days since I have heard from anybody. A few tips I picked up from this ordeal: 1. only hire attorneys that charge a flat rate. Any that use a retainer do this with the intent of hooking you and nickel and dimming you. 2. find out in advance who will be your attorney before paying anything. 3. if they insult you during the initial consult (I was called an "idiot" by Greg Rinckey) then go elsewhere. If this is how much they respect you before starting a formal relationship just think what it will be like later on. 4. whoever is assigned to you as an attorney look them up on Linkedin for further information. Profiles are exaggerated this could still be useful. read more

Dear Greg, I wanted to thank you for the tremendous support and legal guidance provided by your firm through our Son's dis-enrollment board and subsequent appeal. From the very first phone call with you, and after several interviews with other military law firms, it was clear that you and your team were truly our best course to arrive at a positive outcome. We had the great pleasure to work with Wayne Roberts who immediately created a strong rapport with my Son and our family. His legal expertise and calming demeanor brought great confidence and reassurance as we navigated through the initial board hearing. Even though we received a favorable recommendation from board, it was not accepted by the PMS nor the Brigade. We were left with one final appeal if we chose to continue the fight to allow our son his dream of obtaining an Army Commission. Our second consultation, you presented the opportunities and hope we could successfully overturn the initial denial and arrive with a recommendation to commission. I am happy to say, I am glad we stayed with it and worked with your team. I am confident your preparation and presentation of all the facts, allowed the careful consideration and ultimate commission by the Department of Army Headquarters. Thank you again for your fairness throughout and great legal representation to arrive at this outcome. read more

Hands down worst representation I have ever seen. Had to obtain an attorney Derick Hogan. Young guy not very knowledgeable with criminal law. Didn't seem to know much about the issue I was dealing with. He pretty much should be on the other side of the court room, not a defense attorney. Treated me as if I was guilty and not innocent like I am. In the end I spent well over 10K on this guy, I even referred him to a friend in the very beginning. Both I & my friend ended up firing Derick and going with another attorney who was able to settle our cases for a fraction of the cost we spent on this "graduate" attorney. Completely dissatisfied with his overall performance. Just wish I wouldn't of given him so much money. Knickeled & dimed every last thing he could. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Derick to anyone for any reason. read more

Very dissatisfied!! Was told my divorce could be done in about 6 weeks for less than 1000 dollars. It was an uncontested divorce with no property. The child support and custody agreement had already been done by myself. My lawyer billed for phone calls she initiated, she billed for emails, and billed me 3 times to review the same document!!! I would barely hear from her I would just get an invoice and absolutely no progress in the case. It took over a year and cost 2000 dollars. I finally got fed up when she called and asked for 500 more dollars. I went to Legal Aid they did it in 2 months for free. I really disapprove of this law firm read more

Mr. Shoikhetbrod and his staff at Tully Rinckey did an excellent job in helping me file for FERS Disability Retirement. The FERS Disability Retirement process is complex and would have been very difficult to do on my own. I am so glad I hired Mr. Shoikhetbrod. Fresh out of my second deployment to Afghanistan, I was fired from my government job for being in the Army reserve. They even said so in a letter. They said they could help but first they needed money, and the so I paid. And then they needed more, and more, and more. Eventually they had ALL my deployment money. If I said no they would drop the case and all would be lost. Eventually they won but only a few grand and nothing that covered nearly my bill. They claim to support vets. That is a lie. I went to Tulley Rinckey PLLC in Albany, NY for help with a tax issue. I talked to a case manager about my situation; she told me that her firm could help. I had to pay a $150 fee for my first consultation and it was over the phone. When I got my call for the consultation, the person introduced himself as Mike when I was explicitly told that I'd be talking to a Greg Rinckey. The guy already knew about my situation when he called and had no help to offer. The phone call took a total of 20 minutes. The only advice I was offered was to use a certified accountant. This is funny because I had talked to several law firms over the phone already and was given the same advice without having to pay $150. I was stupid enough to think that an attorney would be able to understand my case better due to the complexity of it; thus, I kept pursuing the legal route. If you are going to use this firm, DO NOT pay a consultation fee up front. It is a rip-off and will just cause you to feel like you threw the money away as I did. read more

I was very disappointing with this law firm. I met with them, they promised to take care of my legal matter and then never did anything. I took of work to meet with them and then followed up but in the end they did not do what they promised. Calls to their office require extended waits, several transfers and in the end, for all for naught. I wasted a day off work and a month's time and in the end, they did not have the decency of ever following up to my inquiries. This is my second attempt at this post as Tully Rinckey asked Yelp to flag this as not relevant. If that happens again, I will contact the bar association next as people need to know that this firm wasted my time and damaged legal matter by their inaction. read more

Derrick Hogan at Tully Rinckey handled my case and I feel fortunate that he was my lawyer. I called to talk with someone about my case and by chance was connected with Mr. Hogan. He listened, asked good questions, and gave me all the information I could have asked for. He explained every step, what would or could happen in very clear and easy to understand terms. I was sent a retainer and explained the case would be covered by a flat fee, and that anything that came up in the future relating to the case would be fully covered by that fee. Although my case was probably one of the simpler, easier cases they handle, Mr. Hogan always made me feel that my case was important to him. He always urged me to call him if I had questions or wanted him to go over anything again. He even called me to follow up before I had to call him - something I find is rare with almost any professionals these days. He treated me with utmost courtesy and respect, was knowledgeable, and reassuring. I believe he is one of the firm's younger atty's, but I would not hesitate to recommend him. I feel I should explain the reason for the 4 star rating: An appointment conflict came up for the initial hearing, and Mr. Hogan had to have someone else cover for him. It was very simple and would not have been a problem at all as Mr. Hogan had clearly and explicitly explained what would take place. The atty. who handled it however, was over half an hour late to meet me, and I became very nervous as to whether she would show up at all. When she did, she didn't apologize or say anything about why she was so late, but she did handle it the hearing ok. When I next spoke with Mr. Hogan, he apologized for her - but that is my reason for the 4 star rating for the firm. read more

I felt that this law firm didn't offer me the candid legal consultation from day one on whether to pursue a legal case or not. Their main concern was that I simply pre-pay. Not mention that my case kept being re-assigned from one of their legal experts to another for at least 4 times. The original one even quit the firm, which caused me lots of uncertainties. The other reason why I won't recommend this legal firm is that because they nickel and dime everything and charge the client. Even when they pause during a phone call to sneeze (figuratively speaking), there goes a charge on the client. I would prefer to deal with legal firms that simply does it the good 'ole honest fashion way: one flat rate for the entire case. This new nickel-n-dime method is dishonest and opens the door for lots of unnecessary charges against the client's balance. I paid this firm close to $10 grand for an ill-advice and transactions that look like a credit card monthly balance. I wish they were more candid and have told me from the beginning that my case wouldn't yield anything, but they didn't. read more

CONSPIRACY OF COUNTY OF ALBANY,N.Y.v.JESSICA NOWIAK I thought I made it clear that a [ RETAINER ] was paid in advance for the representation of this client in the amount of $ 13,500.00 dollar's based on the advertised ability for your representative to sucessfully accomplish an adequate defense with a conclusion for a favorable result! The failure of your representative Derrick Hogan to insure the protection of her right's to be released within 48 hours of her arrest if not arraigned before that time had expired, proves his incompetence to provide the advertised representation! His failure to object to excessive Bail of $50,000 dollars for his client when Bail for the perpetrator of the incident for which they were arrested was set at only $1000 dollars! His claim that the DA set the excessive Bail was a flat out Lie when the DA was not even present at the arraignment conducted at Colonie Safety Court by Judge Krummey who, according to his answering service, claimed he was away for the holiday! I was approached by a Bail Bondsman the following day requesting $ 3600 dollars toward the Bail for his client! It became evident to me that a Conspiracy had been formed between the Judge,Bail Bondsman, the DA and your representative? The next day his client was not released, but instead transported to Saratoga Springs City Jail in response to a Bench Warrent for a FALSE charge of Prostitution at which time she was not arrested but searched for drugs and told to go home with no appearence ticket issued! The Saratoga Springs Judge apparently took her address from the Hotel Register to send order's to appear to the wrong address and receiving no response, issued a Bench Warrent for her arrrest! Additional Bail was set by that Judge at $300 dollars, a clear indication that the $50,000 dollar Bail had NOT been paid and a Conspiracy was evident? His further failure to represent her on a false charge of Prostitution in Saratoga Spring's city court in which an Appearence ticket had not been issued and the Judge sent a notice to appear to the wrong address; taken from the Hotel Registry COMPOUNDING the issue and his plea deal with the Judge to plead guilty to Disorderly Conduct resulted in a fine of $129 dollars deducted from the $ 300 dollar Bail paid by me! A demand for a Jury Trial required by Article's 5 and 6 of the U.S.Constitution and the lack of an appearence ticket, would have resulted in an immediate dismissal,RIGHT? The fact that your representative didn't seem to know this proves his incompetence and a possible partnership of the City Judge in the Conspiracy? The fact that Derrick Hogan asked the trial Judge, Roger McDonough, for County of Albany to reinstate the $50,000 dollar bail further proves that he was not acting in the best interest of his client and was an active member of the Conspiracy!!! ----- Original Message ----- read more

Before contacting Tully Rinckey, I searched many law firms to take my case, a legal claim against a giant Federal agency.Throughout the New York area I presented my complaint to prospective attorneys hoping someone would have the ability and confidence to get the job done. Most of the personal lawyers I spoke with could not focus very well and many times gave me poor answers to my inquiries. Finally, I contacted Tully Rinckey, a law firm based in Albany NY. After my first contact with Tully Rinckey I was immediately impressed with the firm. Everyone I spoke with was polite, professional, and very helpful. For the initial consultation I had the honor to speak with Founder Greg Rinckey. I explained my situation and the details of the case. He provided excellent feedback and a sound strategy to be victorious. Soon after the consultation I received a call from Allen A. Shoikhetbrod. He said that he was an attorney employed by Tully Rinckey and that he was my representative for this case. Attorney Allen A. Shoikhetbrod's representation was the best of the best! I was very impressed how he was so sharp and clear about every detail in this case. At the time I hired Tully Rinckey I was up against a Summary Judgement from the agency. Mr Shoikhetbrod's Letter of Opposition was so powerfully written that the agency was now ready to negotiate a settlement agreement. I strongly believed that I could win from his opposition report. Ultimately I did win. The agency agreed to our demands and I also received a monetary award, something that is rarely accomplished when negotiating with this agency. This is makes me feel like we made history in this case. No one but Allen A.Shoikhetbrod could achieve a result like this. Very complete! He expressed every detail, everything I wanted to say to prove my case. He concisely made every point, We won, a huge victory. Mr. Shoikhetbrod has a very special talent. He is a super well trained professional. No other law firm can compare with Tully Rinckey and Mr. Shoikhetbrod. Through Tully Rinckey and Allen A. Shoikhetbrod I finally received real legal protection, protection of my legal rights! Thank you Mr.Shoikhetbrod. Thank you Tully Rinckey P.S. The firms fees are reasonable. P.S.S. The firm is always available for any additional or related concerns. . read more

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Tully Rinckey and would strongly caution others before retaining this firm. Throughout my case, I consistently felt that my interests as the client were not being prioritized. Communication was poor, important matters were delayed or overlooked, and I often had to repeatedly follow up just to receive basic updates. Over the course of more than a year and a half, my case appeared to stall unnecessarily. I was repeatedly told that key issues -- including the opposing party's lack of response to settlement discussions -- would be addressed with the judge, yet months passed with little to no action. Instead, I continued to incur appearance fees and charges for emails and phone calls requesting updates that rarely came. The handling of my case ultimately forced me to resolve settlement discussions directly with my ex because meaningful progress was not being made through counsel. I was also deeply concerned by what I perceived as a failure to properly challenge inaccurate documentation submitted by the opposing party. In addition to the lack of responsiveness and progress, I experienced multiple billing issues. On several occasions, I was billed at a higher hourly rate than what was stated in my contract. Despite bringing these discrepancies to the firm's attention, my concerns went unanswered. What was most frustrating was the feeling that communication only became prompt when payment was involved. As a client going through a difficult legal matter, I expected professionalism, advocacy, and transparency. Unfortunately, my experience reflected the opposite. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this firm to anyone seeking attentive representation, timely communication, or confidence that their case is being handled diligently. This Law firm perpetuated a complete miscarriage of justice. read more

If you're looking for a law firm that truly advocates for their clients, communicates effectively, and prioritizes case strategy, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. My experience with Tully Rinckey PLLC was disappointing from start to finish. Despite initially being assured that my case would be handled with care and diligence, I quickly realized that wasn't the reality. The attorney assigned to me, Matthew Ricci, was unprepared, dismissive, and failed to follow through on key aspects of my case. Communication was inconsistent at best, and I often had to chase down responses just to get basic updates. Important documents contained errors, omissions, and lacked key evidence, despite my repeated attempts to provide crucial information. When I raised concerns about the lack of preparedness and poor case management, my complaints were brushed aside. Even after escalating the issue to senior attorneys, my concerns were ignored rather than addressed. Legal representation should instill confidence, not leave clients feeling abandoned and unheard. Unfortunately, that was my experience with this firm. If you need a proactive, competent legal team that takes your case seriously, I would strongly recommend seeking representation elsewhere. read more

Extremely Disappointed with Tully Rinckey PLLC I hired Tully Rinckey PLLC (Michael Yadanza and the firm) for a high-stakes family court matter involving custody and visitation of my child. What I received was poor representation, excessive billing, and a complete lack of meaningful advocacy. Despite paying a substantial amount in fees, the firm billed heavily for vague communications, repetitive document revisions, and work that was largely based on materials I prepared myself. When I raised detailed concerns about the invoices and demanded a refund, the firm refused and instead claimed I still owed them additional money. The representation did not protect my relationship with my child. After their involvement, I was left with severely restricted communication and supervised parenting time -- a significant step backward from the prior arrangement. Communication from the firm was often dismissive, and when I pushed for accountability, the responses were unhelpful and confrontational. I would not recommend this firm to anyone dealing with family court matters. The combination of high fees, limited results, and refusal to address legitimate billing concerns made an already difficult situation worse. read more

The knowledge and experience that I was given from Tully legal through my divorce was unprecedented. The professionalism and attention to detail that was given to my case helped me be comfortable and deal with an extremely emotional life changing event in a way that kept me calm and confident that I would come out OK at the end of this struggle. Everyone at Tully legal from the founding partners down to the legal support staff handled my divorce case with a true white glove manner. Mario Cometti is to be commended on his diligence in making sure that the outcome of my divorce and custody battle was fair and equitable and continues to ensure that my post divorce activities and life events are handled appropriately even after post divorce judgment. Tully legal by far has the best family matrimonial team in the capital District and possibly the state of New York! One of the most stressful life events was made to be manageable and ended in favorable outcomes with the great support of the Tully legal team! I have since returned to the firm for trust and estate issues and for them to handle my real estate transaction! Best in class firm best in class people! read more

In January 2016 I experienced the worst discrimination and harassment by my supervisor I have ever seen in my 26+ years with the Federal Government. I requested the services of Tully Rinckey, PLLC. This is the second time attorneys with Tully Rinckey have provided exceptional legal advice. In this case, it was beyond my expectations how smoothly my EEO claim was handled and resolved in my favor. I was extremely distressed personally from January through June 2016 however my attorney, Allen A. Shoikhetbrod and the Legal Secretaries, Melissa Diabo and Peter Carley and associates showed compassion and professionalism that enabled me to follow through. I was always able to reach someone to help me particularly when I was feeling vulnerable and fearful that my unblemished federal career was in jeopardy. My attorney always gave me advice that was easy to understand and counseled me in such a way that gave me hope. I am now happy and relaxed for the first time in years. I hope I never need their services again but would recommend that if you need legal assistance, you would do no better than enlist the services of Tully Rinckey, PLLC. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Allen Shoikhetbrod, a true professional and managing partner, who helped me resolve a complex legal matter with both precision and care. From our first conversation, it was clear that I was in exceptionally capable hands. Allen's communication was top-notch, prompt, clear, and reassuring every step of the way. What stood out most was his attention to detail and his ability to explain every part of the process in a way that made me feel informed and empowered. He offered practical, reasonable advice without ever losing sight of my goals, and always made sure I understood the risks and options available to me. Not only is Allen incredibly knowledgeable and strategic, but he also brings a calm confidence to the table that gave me peace of mind during a stressful time. His professionalism, integrity, and genuine care for his clients truly set him apart. If you're looking for a sharp, reliable, and dedicated attorney, I can't recommend Allen highly enough. Dear Benjamin Westerman, I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for your dedication and expertise throughout my EEOC case. Your guidance and strategic approach played a crucial role in achieving the outcome I was hoping for, and I truly appreciate the effort and commitment you brought to my case. After my second deployment to Afghanistan I was fired from my government job, since it was not "compatible" with being in the military. The law seemed pretty clear and I was told in writing, so not hard to prove. Mr. Allen A. Shoikhetbrod said he could handle the case. Mr. Allen A. Shoikhetbrod first needed some money in advance, and then some, and then some etc. I said this was all my money but if I did not pay the case would stop. So I had no choice but to keep paying. Nearly destitute I told him he needed to win that money back too. I essentially paid him ALL my deployment money leaving me broke. He then won the case but I was only awarded a few thousand dollars since I had not been there long, The money was but a fraction of what he was paid and now it seemed he could not recover that money despite being told the opposite. I hope Mr. Allen A. Shoikhetbrod sees this and remembers how he screwed a vet for every dime. read more

I reached a point in my life that I would not have imagine. I contacted a friend who suggested that I contact Tully Rinckey, because of her success with the firm. I was assigned to Attorney, Allen Shoikhetbrod who provided me with outstanding representation. Mr. Shoikhetbrod's kindness, professionalism and knowledge in varies facets of federal government laws gave me a piece of mind that I would come out on top. I was told by many that my case could take three to five years to settle. My belief in the Lord Jesus and the Attorney that He allowed to be assigned to me, resulted in my case settling prior to a year. Mr. SHoikhetbrod kept me abreast throughout the process and work closely with the agency's counsel to resolve the compliant. Mr. Shoikhetbrod's assistant, Peter Carley was also very kind and professional and I recommend this firm and Mr. Shoikhetbrod's team to anyone who is looking for a positive outcome. read more

Attorney Anthony Kuhn was able to negotiate the dismissal of involuntary administrative separation proceedings against me and arrange for me to voluntarily retire. After a second GOMOR was permanently filed in my personnel file, the Army informed me that I was facing involuntary separation. After missing my window to rebut the proceedings, I called Anthony Kuhn for assistance and he assured me that he would do everything in his power to negotiate a dismissal and voluntary retirement. He attacked my matter with the determination, attentiveness and professionalism that I would expect from a seasoned attorney and fellow combative Veteran. He made it clear from the start that he was personally vested in my matter. As a Sergeant Major and former client, I enthusiastically and unequivocally recommend Attorney and Veteran Anthony Kuhn to any fellow service member or Veteran with a pending Military Law matter. read more

Tully Rinckey - Albany, specifically, Allen and his team were professional, intelligent, and persistent in my case of discrimination under the EEOC rules against the FDIC. We settled to an amount that was most satisfactory and even when the Agency did not meet their obligations of payment on time under the legal signed agreement, Allen pushed to make right the payment of settlement. he never waivered, he never gave up, he understood the position the agency put us in, and most importantly, doggedly followed up with this agency to ensure that they did the right thing. If you find yourself in the position to need an attorney for a discrimination case as a Federal employee against an agency and you think they are too big or its not worth it, please reconsider. This law firm and specifically - Allen and his team -are the best course of action any one can take in this situation. read more

I decided to request a reasonable accommodation at my job as a result of a health issue that occurred earlier this year. However, based on interactions with my federal agency concerning a separate issue that I tried unsuccessfully to handle myself last year, I knew I needed to hire an attorney this time. Courtney was very knowledgeable about the reasonable accommodation process and provided excellent advice regarding how I should respond to my agency's requests for information. In addition she was quick to answer my emails and phone calls which helped alleviate a large part of the stress I had waiting for my agency to render a decision. Ultimately I was granted my reasonable accommodation request but I firmly believe that I would not have been successful if I hadn't retained Courtney as an attorney and the law firm to assist me with navigating the process. read more

Tulley Rinckey PLLC--and in particular, attorney Jonathan Gonzalez--delivered exceptional legal representation that resulted in a fully honorable discharge upgrade in my case. Jonathan's professionalism, strategic clarity, and deep understanding of military law were evident from day one. He approached my case with precision and respect, never minimizing its complexity or emotional weight. What stood out most was his ability to navigate both the legal and human dimensions of the process. He listened, documented thoroughly, and advocated with conviction. Thanks to his expertise, my 34 year old record now reflects the truth and honor I've carried all along. If you're seeking justice through a discharge upgrade, Jonathan Gonzalez is the kind of attorney who restores integrity--not just on paper, but in principle. read more

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Tully Rinckey. They demonstrated a lack of competence with an EEOC matter. Failed to listen to my concerns and provided POOR legal guidance. Despite repeated attempts to communicate my needs, they seemed uninterested in truly understanding my case. What's even more frustrating is that they had no issue in taking my money while delivering subpar service. I certainly did not feel I received the level of expertise or dedication that should be expected from a lawyer. If you are looking for a lawyer who genuinely cares, listens to their clients and provides competent legal representation, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. read more

I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to my attorney, Doug Rose. I have been a client of Tully Rinckey for two years, working with Doug, on my case. I found Doug to be professional, and always supporting me in my case. I am VERY pleased with the outcome from the jury. The jury found groSolar guilty of negigence, breach of contract and breach of warranty. Now, it is on record what type of work this national company does, and for that, I am forever greatful. I was impressed with Doug Rose as a trial lawyer. He was my "voice" for the entire trial. Thank you, Doug. Sincerely, T. Malone read more
