Absolutely stunning views. I can tell a lot of care goes into the garden. I saw 100's of varieties of plants and trees set against a lake. I also got the opportunity to see the Lego sculptures. Very creative. Wear your walking shoes as there is a lot of walking with lots to see. They also thoughtfully have plenty of benches placed around the garden and lake to sit and take a break and just take in the surroundings. They do have a little snack shop outside on the lawn. I didn't stop by to see what they had to offer. read more

We are so fortunate to have a Botanic Garden in Tulsa. This place is amazing! Me and my family came to walk around here after church. We had a great time. The views were very pretty here. There was also a nice hiking trail that we walked on. The owners definitely do a good job at keeping this place nice. The bathrooms here were actually pretty clean. The service was good. The employees at the front desk were helpful. Overall, great place and I highly recommend coming here! Ps, don't wear Birkenstocks here because there's a lot of walking. read more

Pros: I love this place. I'm so glad we have it. So much better than the one in my hometown. Cons: But I feel like it's different every time. So one time I went with my husband and there was this big wild field that we hike through and I think the exhibit was called natural plants of Oklahoma. I felt like we walked for miles. And then I've never seen it since. One time I went with my sister-in-law for a yoga class and then we walked around a loop around a pond. We came for another yoga class and the loop was under construction. I recently came back with a friend and that doesn't exist anymore. Now there's beautiful fountains and terraces to the right side. read more

The service here is delightful. The walk up to the gardens, even in this weather, was also lovely. The attention to detail was executed perfectly. My partner took me here as a surprise for our 6-month anniversary, and since I hadn't been before, I was truly in awe. I look forward to coming back here every season. read more

Love this place. Although we missed the peak of Tulip blooms, we still saw some beauty. The Botanic Garden is in the midst of a multi-year expansion project. Don't let the bit of a drive deter you from enjoying the botanic gardens especially on a beautiful outdoorsy day. There are plenty of paths to take throughout the expansive gardens including the out and back Cross Timbers Nature Trail. This is a family friendly place and hopefully there will be a special exhibit for you to enjoy. read more

This is mostly a review of the "Garden of Lights" holiday event (running until January 5). We visited the Sunday before Christmas. It was not too crowded but we heard some of the parking attendants talking about the previous night and that it was crazy! The $15 admission price was worth it. (Get tickets online before you go.) I thought the s'more kits were a cool idea and the fire pits were nice on a cold night. Hot beverages were available (with shots for adults). Live music was in the Grange building (only on Sunday nights, I believe) along with the model train display and the wish card station. There was also a craft cocktail bar in the Grange but the line was long. My only meh statement for this entire event was the food truck situation. There was only one truck manned by two people and they could just not keep up. We met one fellow that was just about willing to forgo his $20 for food and walk away after waiting for over 40 minutes. But, back to the spectacular-ness of this place at Christmas. The lights were amazing. I appreciated how they had the "trails" laid out for a leisurely stroll. I am going to add this to our holiday list of to-dos for next year. This also made me want to go back to revisit the garden in the spring. I would love to explore further. read more

We visited TBG for the first time last week during their Christmas festival. We got tickets for a Sunday night so we could enjoy the jazz music. It was absolutely gorgeous! The tickets were timed entry so this helped alleviate some of the crowding. This is a very romantic venue but yet still family friendly. read more

I love visiting the Tulsa Botanical Gardens. The children's garden is fantastical, whimsical, educational, and inspiring. The rest of the gardens are beautiful as well. Everything is well labeled. There is seating throughout in case you get tired. On the really hot days, maybe bring an umbrella as there is not a lot of shade There is a small gift shop where you can purchase cold drinks. The staff are helpful and able to answer any questions you might have. Just down the road is Gilcrease Museum...be sure and stop in there as well. read more

Just discovered a hidden gem in Tulsa! Located conveniently by Gilcrease Museum. It's a relatively new place that isn't fully built out, but what is there is incredible. The Terrace Gardens are a tribute to Tulsa Art Deco. They accomplish this within the designs of the gardens and terraces. The patterns and colors of plants are inspiring. The Children's Discovery Garden is the newest space. It is perfect for the young and young at heart. It is outfitted with great metal works by Garden Deva. It's a place where kids can play and learn at the same time! The next expansion is the Lotus pond. The space also features a nature trail with a 1.5 mile trail! This place would be fantastic for events and weddings. read more

They have signs on the roads now, much easier to find. They are adding the terraced garden now, it will be a show stopper! They have hiking trails as well as a walk around the lake area. There are beautiful flowers now. They whole place is surrounded by high fence to keep the deer out. Nice person in the welcome center. Birds were singing when I was out there, Bell's Vireo, chickadee, cardinals, and swallows swooping low over the water! Very peaceful and beautiful. read more

One of Tulsa's best hidden gems I recently uncovered was the Tulsa Botanic Garden. When I was visiting the Tulsa Art Deco Museum, I chatting with a lady at the gift shop who had just read an article about the Tulsa Botanic Garden as she had never heard of it. My wife and I decided to go check it out for ourselves and we were glad we did. While the garden is still growing and under construction, there was plenty of picturesque scenes. The Tandy Floral Terraces is garden's signature floral display with seasonal color, year-round interest, and ideas to beautify your home garden. Borrowing inspiration from classic French, Italian, and Persian gardens, they've combined dramatic terraces, cascading water features, and decorative elements from Art Deco architectural motifs to make a garden fitting for the City of Tulsa. New in 2016 are over 100,000 spring bulbs, one of the largest bulb displays in the region. One of the next phases of the Tulsa Botanic Garden is the Children's Discovery Garden, which will be opening later this month. From what we saw, it looked amazing and it's going to really draw people out there. The Tulsa Botanic Garden, not far from the Gilcrease Museum, is a unique feature that we highly recommend visiting. Another amazing addition to Tulsa. We went on a whim and became members that very day. It's so incredibly peaceful here. Great views, water, plants, and a hiking trail! Great for families or couples or friends... nice that there is so much room you can even bring a lawn chair and hang out. The only reason I can't give the TBC 5 stars is because it's not finished. If I remember correctly, there is a 20 year plan in place for TBC to make it a 150+ acre garden. As it stands now, there is a giant pond in the center of property with a trail that wraps all the way around it. Once you get about halfway around the lake, there is a neat side trail that goes out into the grassy, wooded area that isn't maintained and just left to be. If you follow it long enough, you end up in the center of a 100 year old persimmon grove. There is a big informational panel in the grove that shares the history of the grove and is actually pretty neat. The flower and tree selections for the TBC are very pretty, and for the most part, native to Oklahoma...at least the ones I stopped to investigate. You can tell that a lot of effort has been put into making the TBC a must see for anyone visiting Tulsa. I'm excited to return in the future once more projects have been completed. read more

I have made TBG a place to go for Thursday self care. I wish they were open more evenings than only Thursday, but I'll take what I can get for now! I spend at least an hour walking the gardens and using all of my senses to take it all in. What's awesome is that they encourage people to touch the plants as well as looking at and smelling them!! So many of the plants leave an aroma on my hands that are absolutely delightful. By the time I leave the gardens I am relaxed, and I've also gotten some exercise from walking around the lake/pond. The first time I went to the TBG, I left describing it as tranquil, peaceful, and amazing. My friend had invited me to attend an evening outside exercise group, and I left wanting a membership. Having heard about my experience, my mom and sister got me the family membership which is only $75/year for 2 adults and up to 4 kids. Perfect place for kids and kids at heart to walk the children's garden (it's one of my favorite parts!) where there are several sidewalk trails that lead to various activities. read more

What a great surprise to find such a well developed garden complex on the outskirts of Tulsa! We thoroughly enjoyed several hours there with our 2 year old granddaughter, who requested a repeat visit to the children's garden after we had moved on to the terraced garden, which was extremely well done. So we headed back and went into the treehouse again which caught a wonderful breeze. And the painting wall and musical instruments were also favorites. The gardens have amazing plans to expand in the future so make sure to include this in your day. read more

Came to tulsa for a concert and had a whole morning to spare so what best than to go see some lovely gardens.. at first I thought I was lost since there were hardly any cars in the trail but everything was greatly posted with signed so every time I was doubting going the wrong way I would see a sign to direct me to keep going. The entrance was only $8. They have ample parking space and restrooms and a refillable water station which I could not be more happy about. It was a very hot day to be outside if you ask me. I was drenched in sweat after the nature trail which was only 1.5 miles but the good thing they have various sections to sit and rest I took about a 20 min rest after my nature walk and just took in the great views. The Childrens garden is sooo pretty. They should do some night events and light that area up it would be great. They have a lake area and then they have the middle section which I loved the water flowing that's one of the things I loved best hope you can see in the pictures. This would be a great place for a walk with that bf or family trip. Even a proposal would be amazing in this spot it's sooo beautiful and full of lovely color with all the flowers. read more

Beautiful drive to their location. The terraced garden was interesting and lovely. Wonderful places to sit and enjoy the gardens and weather. The children's area was delightful and highly recommended for children of all ages. I especially enjoyed the tree fort area and and spring monster sculpture with my toddler. read more

The flowers were beautiful but it is a long walk for people that have trouble walking. They have wheelchairs available but all but one were in working order. We made a special trip to show my mother the gardens but she was unable to see them because the wheelchair they gave her didn't work. read more

This place was really neat! I went for an "after-hours" event where everyone could bring their dogs and judge scarecrows placed around the gardens created by families, schools, and scout troops. It's out in the middle of nowhere- so it's really peaceful and makes a nice getaway. There is a neat spot for children to play and the rest is nice for adults. You can walk around the pond or take a walk on the nature trail outside of the fenced area (1.5 miles). They are still developing, and I can't wait to see what else is to come! I'm considering a $50 membership which would get you and a guest in all year. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I was visiting Tulsa with my boyfriend and we decided to check this place out for the first time. Us being new comers we thought it was free to the public. So we then proceeded to walk through an unlocked gate thinking it was an entrance, mind you we've never been here before. The gardens itself are nice but clueless to what was going on around us we started to notice some workers passing by us in a golf cart multiple times and they later approached us in a extremely rude way accusing us of purposely breaking in and not giving us a chance to explain. Instead of them assisting us in a professional manner they came off as arrogant and unprofessional which made our experience a nightmare. We paid our money and decided to leave because of how uncomfortable we felt. We will never visit this place ever again and will be sure to let others know how much of a joke and how careless the staff are to new customers. read more
