My son's senior school photos just cost me $167 for just 3 prints (1) 8x10 and (2) 5x7. Ridiculous!!! I wonder how many families couldn't get their child's senior photos due to this highway robbery. I only paid $40 for my freshman son's school photos and I got a package that included so much more. While I realize that Tumbleston does more poses and props for seniors, I do not understand how they can charge $74 for 1 print. I do not need and cannot afford the additional props and poses anyway, but they force me to pay for them with the cost of 1 photo. I will never recommend this company due their poor business practice of upcharging parents of senior students for the same packages as underclassmen. read more

My sons School photographs came in and they were the most ridiculous things I've ever seen! Let me begin by saying my son is autistic. However, he takes direction very well. Obviously, the photographer wasn't giving any because my sons head was tilted back so far you could see his entire throat, chin and up his nose. Thankfully, there was one salvageable photo in the entire group. I called Tumbleston and asked for them to look at the photos and they didn't blink as if it's normal to take a photograph of someone's throat. My school chose this company for his senior photos. I have no choice but to use this company for his photo. The photographer took terrible photos. If he had training it does not show in his photos. The website is terrible and it is very difficult to get the correct background and crop. The cost of these photos are extremely overpriced. To top off the extremely high cost of the photos, they charged me a 9.5% fee to use my credit card to buy the photos even though we could not use any other payment method. I tried calling this company for assistance in ordering. I have left 3 messages over the last week and no one has returned my call. This photography company is the worst I have ever seen. I am sure they could care less about the bad reviews because someone lying salesman has talked the entire school into using this company. RIP OFF read more

Three years worth of highschool team photos for SHS and all the team pictures were severely out of alignment. My son's Senior photos were so badly edited that you can see where the image of my son was edited on to different backdrops. There is a a glow around his whole body. They won't let parents close during the photo session, yet the photographer didn't tell my son that he had a huge gap in his bangs while taking all the photos. None of them are worth their cheapest package: 3 photo sheets for $150. I can't understand why this studio holds the high school contracts for all of the team and senior pictures. read more

The photos turned out amazing and the photographer women was so sweet, but these prices are RIDICULOUS. I took my senior yearbook pictures with the company through my school, and beforehand had to pay $60 for the package, which wasn't an issue. However, once we received the copy of the photos (with the trademark), it was $300 to purchase them ($170 for 1 high resolution photo)!! I understand that for professional photos it's a reasonable price, but when it comes to public school yearbook photo prices, it is absolutely absurd. With it being a public school, many families may not even be able to purchase their child's senior pictures, which is very unfortunate. However, this bad review should not reflect the photographers capabilities - they are great - I just wish it was made more affordable, especially for the public school kids who just want to have a copy of their senior photo. read more

Take the mandatory school picture with them, then go elsewhere for your photos. The photo quality is mediocre at best ESPECIALLY considering their pricing is absolutely outrageous. We have enough Senior expenses as parents, this is a complete rip-off! IF you decide to use them, order 1 picture upfront and you will quickly understand what poor quality means. Literally the worst customer service ever. It's like they don't even want to sell you the pictures. $50+ required sitting fee to be in the year book; then they charge you another $49+ to even SEE the pictures and choose one for the year book. They never sent us the email they promised when the pictures where ready. Worst experience with a photographer ever. Would never go again and I have 2 students left to graduate. We will just not have their picture in the year book. The kids don't look at them and don't want them anyway. They have insta year books - this place sucks read more

They have a sweetheart deal with CCSD for senior pictures so you have no choice but to use them for a required minimum $50 session for a picture if you want your HS Senior to have a picture in the year book. They of course offer other packages for sessions and prints. We did sign up for two an I studio and an out door one downtown. The out door one was terrible. The "photographer" constantly posed my daughter with no regard for cars, people or other things in the background. They were poor scene set ups and results. My wife took a series of pictures on her iPhone after the photographer which were much better. The pictures Tumbleston took and showed us afterwards looked like an amateur took them with strange backgrounds etc. My wife did complain about the results and we were of course offered another session if we wanted to pay again. Why would we. They are not professional quality. They have no concern for customer satisfaction. My daughter did end up buying two pictures (4 prints total) and the disappointment in the results is worse the session experience. The prints which are overpriced for sure arrived today and the look like blown up snapshots. They did not look like anything you would expect from a professional photography studio. Do your self a favor and find any other photographer who wants you business and doesn't just get a locked in deal from the county read more

We had to go here to get our son's senior pictures for the yearbook. I paid $40.00 plus tax for the sitting fee. I ordered 1 5X7 it was $48 + tax and a mandatory $6.99 shipping fee. It ended up being $102.00 for one 5X7. They told me it would be "about a week". It was ready two weeks later and the photo was grainy and not vibrant like the photos they show you on the computer. We scheduled our Homeschool Groups class yearbook pictures with Tumbleston and could not have been more satisfied. It was about 80+ students. I worked directly with Chris in the West Ashley location. He not only met all of our needs for class yearbook pictures but exceeded our expectations in customer service. The whole location staff was amazing to work with. The photographer was very patient and brought out all the smiles. Their studio had so many options for photo backgrounds, it really is a one-stop photographer studio. Another major highlight was ordering online and being able to choose different backgrounds for the pictures. The online ordering process itself was very user-friendly with options I have never seen with photography studios before. Also, we did pictures around Christmas time, and Chris was sure to make us aware of their latest package specials to make sure we could take advantage of the deals. Do yourself a favor and hire a local photographer who will give you better service, better quality and more for your money. My daughter was required to get her senior yearbook photos here. The photos were okay....I felt the drape was crooked in her photos, but she was happy with them. However, I urge you not to purchase senior pictures from this photographer even though all seniors are required to get their yearbook pictures here (with a $49 session fee per senior.) They don't care about their customers because they have a huge contract with the schools. Just do the session and have the pictures sent to the school for the yearbook. They have unscrupulous business practices. The print prices are outrageous, and they will charge you a shipping/handling fee for EACH order ($7.99) (even if it is a download and they ship everything in ONE package. They charge you because it is a separate order.) They are a rip off. The pictures aren't even impressive. They bank on parent's emotions because their babies are graduating. Hire someone else to take more personal and better senior portraits, I think you will be happier with the result. read more

Although two very different occasions, she captured the moments flawlessly. She was a joy to work with and we were incredibly pleased with our photographs. In addition, despite the sad occasion, she captured the portrait of my father beautifully and everyone remarked on how lovely the picture was.
