I have dropped into the Tumi outlet on several occasions while shopping at Woodburn Premium Outlets, however, I usually just drop in and look around. Tumi is known for its quality high-end products from luggage, backpacks, purses, shoulder bags/sling, accessories and more. While it is expensive, each product I have purchased from them hold up well over the years. We stopped in this week to do a little Christmas shopping. The woman who assisted us was helpful and showed us a few products within the product line we were looking for. What I appreciated is that while she was helpful, she was not pushy and gave us space to talk about the products between my husband and myself, to determine what we wanted to do. The return policy was something that was important to me in deciding to purchase this product at this time as it is a Christmas present. The sales woman confirmed the product could be returned to the outlet (or a local outlet) through the end of January. This gave me comfort that should the item not be exactly what the individual was looking for they could return or exchange it. She offered and wrapped the item up nicely in the red Tumi paper before we headed out. I would shop here again based on the quality of the product, helpfulness and professionalism of the staff. read more

Quality/Quantity - Purchased a "sling", see the picture and let me know if you like it. It is a current trend, not sure if I will even use it, but with all my travels, I am running out of pockets... help. My favorite wallet brand and travel bag brand. I own too many Tumi items. Atmosphere - Consistent for Tumi outlets. Service - Good. Prior to 2004, when Doughty Hanson & Co acquired Tumi, they had a lifetime warranty. Now, the first year is a "worry free" ownership, and the next 2-5 year warranties depend on the specific product. Price - $195, how does this compare to the Robert Graham sling (from Nordstroms)...? Tumi luggage is the best. It's expensive, but one of those items where you definitely get what you pay for. As someone who traveled weekly for my job for 25 years, my luggage always took a beating, but my Tumi pieces held up. In addition to the durability, the designs are stellar. It's like the "Apple" of suitcases. Rarely would I check in my bags on my way to a destination because I couldn't risk the airline losing it and often, I needed to be somewhere immediately after landing. What I was able to pack into a Tumi carry on bag was nothing short of a magic trick! Friends would watch me unpack with amazed looks, saying, how did you get all of that in that tiny bag? Like fine wines, those that work here know the product and can speak to every aspect. How it's made, it's design purpose, features, durability, care instructions, warranty - everything you need to know and some things you didn't even consider. And without pressure. They know that Tumi are investment pieces and if a person purchases one, they will be back for more and be a customer for life. Stopped here with the intent to run in and get a wallet before leaving. Ended up picking up a belt as well. Though, I did feel the selection was a little lacking but what one might expect from an outlet store. Service was spot on. Christina was great to interact with. Wasn't pushy or trying to speed the process up. Talked and joked with us when she was free from her other customer. Well worth the travel time to get here. Left happy which isn't the norm when I go shopping. read more

I just had the best experience ever at Tumi. I absolutely LOVE the products and various designs that Tumi has to offer so naturally I always pay them a visit to see what they have. I was greeted by, Marquise, the store manager who is just the BEST STORE MANAGER EVER!!! He is professional, thoroughly knowledgeable on ALL products, and not at all pushy. He is a wealth of information on anything Tumi. Marquise is truly an excellent representative for Tumi. I have been using Tumi products for just under 2 years and no one else has ever bothered to educate me on the benefits of owning Tumi ranging from their 1 -5 year warranty, their unparalleled customer service, and how to properly care and clean your products. Thanks to him, I walked away with a new piece of luggage and a sling bag. I am now switching over from Samsonite to Tumi. I had never heard of Tumi before this past Thanksgiving shopping season- oh wait that's right- I mean Christmas shopping season. My husband, however had and it was on his list. He had a specific bag in mind with a hefty price tag, but he wanted to see if the outlet mall had it. He flew in from San Fran we jumped immediately onto busy Portland rush hour-added bonus Wednesday night before Thanksgiving- traffic. I am thinking this damn bag better be worth it and for the price it better be driving us home. The outlet mall is eerily dead but I know there are a million people waiting for Black Friday to strike. Which I wasn't coming back even for a deal here. We had Tumi all to ourselves, with their very well dressed salesman- a kid who looked very young that came from another store nearby he said. Now I see these bags in person and still hope it has a license to drive us home at nearly $500 - it's going to earn its keep living with us. This was outlet prices- but the kid sensed any bag coming home with us was going to be scrutinized to death by me- and said we are the only store here who started Black Friday prices tonight- 30% off plus the sale price of 20% off. Well played Tumi- The guy notices my Coach purse and starts talking quality but I point out - I could never pay new price for an item that (my purse) that I throw into a backseat filled with God knows what- throw onto floor boards of cars in wet Oregon and toss like I don't care the minute I get home. If I paid full Coach price the purse would stress me out babysitting it from stains & dirt and would have to teach it house cleaning skills. I know where to get them locally for a fraction of the cost and know they are reasonably cared for once I get them. I like colors or styles not names- so this isn't a thing for me. I was supportive of my husband to take on this responsibility of not stressing the first time he kicks this bag under the seat on an airplane and has to sit there OCD about what he may have kicked his high dollar bag into. He seemed zen- he liked the quality of the bag and the warranty which was nice, plus free tracking if it is lost- never mind if he lost it, it would probably never tell anybody where it lived because we made it drive us home and do Thanksgiving dishes. The customer service is great here- the guy was new but well trained in every answer he gave us. That I like and the bags are well made. read more

I stopped in at the Tumi store while on a business trip to Beaverton and fell in love with a tote bag on a sale table. I bought the bag but later discovered a discrepancy with the price. Since I could not return to the store I called and spoke to Marquise, the store manager. Without question, he found my transaction and adjusted the price. As a result of this exceptional customer service I wanted to be sure and provide an excellent review for him and a recommendation to pay a visit to this store.
