First of I want to say I called 8 different "24 hour towing services" none of them answered or wanted to help me. It was 5:30am. This towing service should be listed at the top of google searches. He showed up earlier than expected. I hit something on 78 and my tire got a flat right before the Holland tunnel. He was really fast and professional. HORRIBLE COMPANY! DO NOT USE THEM! THEIR RATINGS ARE TERRIBLE BECAUSE THEY ARE TERRIBLE. They flat-out LIED to me about the storage fee for leaving my car in their lot. Then held my car hostage once I finally got a tow to take my car out of their facility. RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, LOW CLASS, CON ARTISTS! (read below for the full story) Tuminos Towing picked up my vehicle which was stuck on the NJ turnpike. Apparently AAA can not tow vehicles from the NJ turnpike, they need to get your car from a non private road. So the tow truck came from Tuminos Towing dispatched by Interstate Roadside Assistance. I was told by them that the tow fee of the tow truck ($165) would be reimbursed by AAA in a few weeks (lets see if that actually happens). The Tuminos tow truck driver told me I could leave the car at their facility with no charge. This was on Memorial Day in the night time, so no AAA tow trucks would come and get my car from Tuminos as it was a holiday plus the car needed to go into NYC. I guess no Towtruck guys wanted to take that long drive in traffic on holiday. The Tuminos towtruck guy that brought my car to the facility assured me that I would NOT be charged for any storage fees. So I left the car with the key inside the car on their lot - BIG MISTAKE! My sister came to pick me up and I was on the phone with AAA the next morning. It seems that when you are not with your vehicle and AAA needs to go from Northern NJ to NYC they basically leave your car for dead last on their tow itinerary and if they dont get to it they dont get to it. So I spent the following day (tuesday) on the phone ALL day with AAA trying to get a tow, and after 3 closed tickets with AAA and my car still not picked up (closed tickets apparently means that the car has been picked up and dropped off which it wasnt), I finally decided to go through my Car Insurance roadside assistance instead. So Wednesday morning I set up a tow truck through my insurance carrier. I set it up for late in the afternoon so that I could be home from work in time to receive the car. Everything went fantastic with my insurance company roadside assistance and the towtruck was dispatched within 20 minutes or so. When he arrived to Tuminos to pick up my vehicle he was stopped and told that I owed a storage fee. He called me immediately to let me know that he couldnt take my car until it was paid. I called Tuminos and explained to them that their towtruck driver assured me that I wouldnt have to pay a storage fee. Their rep named Charlie was very rude and told me "yeah if it was 1 or 2 days sure, but not for 3 or 4 days... my car was in their lot for 43 hours TOTAL - not even 2 days. He continued to be very rude and cut me off every time I tried to explain my side of it and that AAA was giving me the run around. He didnt care - $91.70 or I'm not getting my car back... for 43 hours parking. I think this is a GREAT time to point out that just outside of their facility was free street parking where I could have left my vehicle and felt just as safe for FREE. I would have done that if I wasnt lied to about no storage-fees to park on their facility. Bottom line is STAY away from this company and ALL of their locations, it seems all of their locations have bad ratings/reviews on here and I'm sure the ratings are accurate! Driver be ware, you are already going through frustrations if your car needs a tow, you dont need to be lied to, robbed and disrespected on top of that. I wish I thought to check their reviews BEFORE i let them touch my car... But I'm sure Tuminos knows that people on the side of the road are desperate and not checking reviews until after the fact by then, they have already committed their robbery. Not really sure how this establishment is a business, because it honestly felt more like a robbery. They charge $55 for plastic wrap that's just covering the sun roof (mind you, the sun roof was not damaged, just needed to be closed with the press of a button). And killed my battery by leaving the car on. And then charge you $300 to tow it 20 mins away because it's dead. And then the tow driver will give you an attitude if you say that you can take any highway to our destination. And then he'll complain that you didn't pay the full amount because it's not listed on the invoice (even though I did) and had just given him a tip. These people are thieves with an atrocious attitude to accompany the thievery. $1300 to tow a car that was involved in an accident 1 block, but they didn't stop there. When I called for an explanation of the charges, the representative told me that it was because they had to clean where the accident occurred. I paid because I had no other choice. But get this, they also tried to collect from my insurance for the same accident "clean up" fee that was already covered by the payment I already made. My transmission broke while I was driving a 6 1/2 hour drive. I made it to the last hour of my trip and I broke down right in NJ at 9:30pm. Even tho I was a triple A member, they wouldn't be able to tow me until ab 5 am. My mom came to get me and called Tumino's and we told them what happened (2:30am at this point). George and Al were so kind to let me leave my car there until AAA got it. They were such great men and really helped me out. I'm 21 years old and a female college student I was in freaking out until they told me I can leave my car there. They made me cry happy tears. I got A flat tire while traveling from MA back home to Florida. I have AAA and called them for help unfortunately I was told because of my location on the parkway they could not help me they transferred me to the State. ??? At this point I thought for sure I was on my own but the person that picked up the phone said someone would be out to help me and I would have to make payment arrangements with them but it wouldn't be AAA. LESS THEN an hour later The tow truck pulled up. The gentleman who ( Ty I think ) came was professional and thoughtful. BTW this was 6:00 am on New Years Eve !! I got a flat tire on the New Jersey Turnpike, after hitting an unavoidable pothole. My tire exploded and i had to immediately pull over. We were traveling from Texas and i had a packed car: My retired mother, 2 cats, a 90 lb. dog, and a trunk full of 3 months worth of clothes (that's how long i would be gone). It was also 92 degrees that day, and i had less than a quarter tank of gas. Thank goodness the phone batteries were full! After calling AAA, they informed me that they are not allowed to service the Turnpike.....because it is too dangerous. I started to worry. Due to the heat, i couldn't turn off the car's A/C. I found the first tow company listed on Google. The dispatcher wasn't pleasant, but i didn't care as long as a truck could tow me off the highway. When the driver arrived, he immediately defused the situation. Chris changed my tire right on the side of the road, to expedite the process, and helped find a tire shop that would honor my tire warranty! He also called to make sure we made it to the tire shop safely, as he was concerned about my mother and the animals. Thank you so much, to Chris, who made us feel safe and taken care of! Accident on Parkway 11/29/2017 Can't call anyone else, they have the contract. Besides being the most expensive towing company in the world. They steal items from your car. The driver dropped me off on the side of Rt. 80 by the Green street exit. Since I was told I could not take anything out of my truck until the insurance company came and dropped a check off. They took my truck to Ridgefield Park secure storage yard. 75 dollars a day and the employees have what ever they want or need. When I asked the yard boss Charlie about the items stolen from my truck. He just laughed and asked if I wanted to make a police report. Said it could not be one of his guys, he knows them all except one and they would never take anything. If you have to be towed on the Parkway make sure you have a lot of space to take your personal belongings with you. read more

I called this guy up just to know if my car is there so I can retrieve my garage clicker and told him I had a really bad car accident some guy ran a stop sign and hit me so hard knocked me unconscious and all this guy cared about is his money and told me that I should get this car out and pay for the days the car parked in his lot and did not care about my well being only cared about his money!!! He Also said I can not get anything out of my car until it is paid in full, told him my insurance adjuster have to see the car first and they will pay for the storage and he just didn't want to hear it.. This company is a scam. My car was impounded Monday at 11pm due to expired registration. Walk-ins are no longer available at the dmv (due to COVID) to resolve this issue, it's by appointment only. The dmv is booked for the month but I was lucky enough to be able to get an appointment for Wednesday morning (a dmv almost an hour away from where I live but anyways). After I renewed my registration, I came in at 10am to pick up my car. When I received bill, I was charged 150 for impound + 135 for 3 day storage... now why am I being charged for 3 days if it hasn't even been 72 hours. I explained to him that I couldn't get an appointment until today but he said he couldn't do anything for me.... So they want to charge people by the "day" but you have to pick up the car before 5pm but the shop is 24/7.. It's just a ridiculous & poor system if you ask me... read more

My car was totaled and even tho the ins co called them and made arrangements they held my car captive for weeks and refused to release my belongs, when they finally allowed me into the yard to collect my things several of my stuff was stolen including my dashcam, car phone holder, cash I left in the car even my WORK UNIFORM shirts, tf!!! Tumino's Towing is one of the most unprofessional businesses that I have ever come across. I was in a accident on the 11th of July in Mount Holly,NJ near exit 49. My car was totaled. When I found out where my car was I called the Towing company so I could retrieve my belongings. The lady that answered the phone(Dee) was rude snappy loud and very unprofessional. When I got to my car someone had been smoking in it. I had alcohol in it as well and they opened that also. My roadside emergency kit (100.00) was gone as well. When I brought this to her attention she immediately became defensive and shouted the driver that towed your car doesn't drink or smoke!!! She said probably one of the officers on the scene did it!? ‍I informed her that I wanted to speak with her manger/supervisor. I asked his name , which I believe was "Mike",but I'm not sure. Make sure you have all of your information up-to-date like AAA. If it is not and you still are remember they will not release your car. Which means they hijack your car, even if you have email validation from AAA, it's still not sufficient enough for them to release your car. What's alarming is that they don't even tell you prior to Towing your vehicle to even give you that option. Once they have your car on their flatbed it's no longer yours. This was a great experience. My truck broke down mid-material load and I google mapped the closest towing company to me. They arrived before the time they said they would (15mins early) and sent a gentleman who was a Veteran of our armed services. He got the the location before me, parked my car at the shop perfectly and processed their fee without any problems or price changes. I was driving on the NJ Turnpike, and a screw penetrated my tire. I bought this car used and it had no spare. My insurance has roadside assistance, but they can't come on the turnpike - only the turnpike's companies can come out. So, I was stuck with Tumino's, paying either $130 for a tow to the next exit, or $80 to their office two miles away. First, I will say there was one positive note: Chris, the driver who helped me yesterday evening, is a stand-up guy who genuinely did his best to help me and be a decent human being. He deserves recognition. He was fast, friendly, concerned for our safety, and clearly embarrassed by Tumino's disgusting business practices - read on for details! That was the ONLY positive part of the experience. The boss/manager/dispatcher, whatever the title of the person in charge at Tumino's yesterday evening, is a disgusting, rude, soulless, unprofessional, greasy, chinless, fat awful excuse for a human being. Every other word out of his mouth was "sh*t" or "f**k," he constantly belittled and berated his own employees, as well as the customers. He told our driver that if he accepted our credit card, it would "be his a$$." Poor Chris was stuck in the middle, clearly embarrassed that this slimeball was being such a jerk over a transaction they, by their own admission, carry out every single day. So, I get my aunt out of bed (she works at 4 AM) to drive to Tumino's to pay with her credit card, to make this giant douche happy. I was biting my tongue the whole time, so angry at this point that I was ready to scream at this horrendous prehistoric slob and threaten legal action, and it's a good thing I held my tongue. Because even after I bent over backwards to stroke Jabba the Hutt's ego and make him feel like a big man, even after the bill was paid and transaction complete, apparently they still couldn't give me MY OWN CAR KEYS to drive away until this disgusting pig gave the 'okay.' It was CLEARLY at his random discretion, because he made the other two guys sit and wait, looking at him longingly, hoping he might just this once not be a giant a$$hole, and let the transaction be done. It was like a scene from the Godfather. All of us looking at the Don, long uncomfortable silence, waiting for approval from this fat jacka$$ who clearly has a giant ego and feels like he wields ultimate power over people's lives. Finally, after this long pregnant pause, "the Don" give a silent nod that they can give my MY OWN KEYS so I can leave AFTER I ALREADY PAID THE FREAKING BILL. I am sure that if I had told this guy what he deserved to be told, he would have held my car hostage, just as he held me hostage for what seemed like an eternity. I have never in my life seen more unprofessional behavior in any business in the world, even in third-world countries. I got better customer service in sub-Saharan Africa, for Pete's sake. Something has to be done - disgusting places like this should NOT have contracts with the Turnpike or anybody else. Do yourself a favor and NEVER break down on the turnpike!!! ALSO, another item of note - while waiting for Jabba to release me from my slavery, another gem happened: an employee was loudly talking on the phone about the Orlando mass shooting, clearly angry at the outpouring of support for the victims (49 killed only a day ago). He said, "yeah, it's a tragedy, I get it, but enough already," and went on to express his anti-gay sentiment, and how it was their own fault they got murdered, because "what are you doing out at 2 AM at a gay bar." They charge $25 per calendar day so if you get into an accident at 11:00PM and they tow your car to their lot you pay $25 for that day and $25 for each day until you retrieve it.
