I never received the onion rings despite asking multiple times. Our original waitress never returned to our table, so I couldn't even find out if she ever put in the order. I ordered my steak medium rare, but it was cooked closer to medium and even leaning towards medium well. Unfortunately, we won't be returning to Christopher's.

Order made, we set about catching up and made good ground. This had me thinking that the presentation of the food was a little long, given it is lunch time and many dining at this time want good quick food to squeeze into their hour break. We did also have a couple of items presented to us which were not ours. This could be a little more slick i.e. know who ordered what and get it to them directly rather than any scenic route showing off your wares to others before you. Food came and my Sweet Potato cakes did not disappoint. Outside was crispy with inside soft and deliciously scrummy with the splash of Harissa to perk it up. Along with this was the poached egg poached to near perfection (perfect for some I like mine with the white a tad more firm). I definitely would eat these again and again and now thinking how I can re-create at home! They did have a 'turnaround' time on the site when I booked which, regardless of how much time they allow you I never really like as it can become about turnover of tables rather than the experience but understand with these days some people perching in a restaurant all day with a cup of coffee. All in all though, I enjoyed my lunch there. The egg was also slightly overcooked for being "poached." Our waitress was really sweet, though, and the coffee drink menu was brimming with interesting-sounding options. There are lots of interesting things to look at in the restaurant, as well, including some interesting planters. Would not recommend for brunch.
