Lac Le Jeune was hit hard a few years ago by the Mountain pine Beetle which forced them to remove some of the tree's in the area leaving some camp spots without shade which is tough in the day time when the sun is super hot. But it's also something that can't be helped. The campground has RV dump and fill so you can fill up and then dump your waste for $5. My family tented for the week which was nice. Each campsite has a fire ring and a picnic table. Our spot was quite dusty but again it's nature and that can't always be helped. The campground has "out house" style washrooms however they are flush toilets. There are "Double" sites available for larger families or friends who enjoy camping as a group. The campground is right on the lake so if you're lucky and can book early enough you can get a campsite by the lake. The lake itself is great. It's a grass style beach with a "sandy" slope. But it's not really big enough to build sandcastles. The lake isn't full of rocks like most lakes can be which was nice. There is also a changing area with washroom or changing booths you can use to change. There are an abundance of picnic tables near the beach, making it very easy to picnic. The camp ground is located close to Kamloops and Logan Lake so you don't have to drive far if you need supplies or want to return to civilization for a few hours. The negatives? On some advertisements they claim to have wifi, which isn't true. The women washroom near our campsite was clogged and uncleaned for 2 days despite Park crew being made aware of the situation. Some advertisements also say they have showers. I was there for a week and did not find the showers. Would I go back? Yes however I would book earlier than I did this time.

The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions. the previous night we were packed into a small hotel with small rooms. This hotel had spacious hallways and spacious rooms. Mine even had two widescreen televisions. Livin large for sure. I would recommend this property as the best hotel in Kamloops ,freeway close with lots of restaurants nearby.

Staff were all very pleasant including Milan who checked us in. Pool and hot tub were well-kept except for the one night that we noticed dirt at the bottom just as we were leaving. Nice to see oranges, apples, and bananas available all day at the beverage station in the lobby.

You are matched to a horse that suits your riding experience, and you may keep the same horse for the duration of your stay or request a change. Gear: You can rent a pair of authentic broken-in cowboy boots from the office. I highly recommend this option. It's cheap, and you get to feel like a real cowboy, and it's the safest footwear to ride in. Helmets are provided free of charge. Wear a helmet. I was cocky one time and didn't wear a helmet and suffered a concussion as a result (not at this ranch). Rides: The rides last approximately 2.25 hrs. Accommodations: Basic rooms with slightly outdated decor. There are a couple of larger rooms available but the decor is similar in all units. The rooms are probably the least attractive part of staying at the ranch, unfortunately, but it's also part of the charm. Food: Country comfort food. Breakfast is buffet style with scrambled eggs, sauteed veggies, sausages, bacon, potatoes, muffins, fruit, yogurt, cold cereal, coffee, tea. There is also a daily special that could be eggs benny or pancakes. Lunch could be burgers or pulled pork sandwiches with a couple of options for sides and special house-baked cookies. Dinner is meat and potatoes style - steak, roast turkey, etc. No complaints here - this isn't complicated food. Go for the Gourmet Weekend if you're lookin' for fancy food! When you arrive at the ranch, you are matched with a horse and if you like, they will try and keep you with that horse for your stay. There are two rides a day (1.5-2 hours at least) and food is plentiful, varied and delicious. They have very good horses, so be honest about your experience, you will be happy for it. The wranglers are caring, smart, fun and very competent. Rooms are very comfortable (air conditioned, great beds, pillows and comforters ) and delightfully basic. No phones or TVs in the room. Bring books! Wi-Fi is fine for work emails, but thankfully, generally not good for streaming video. You will find that kids will put their devices down and spend hours in the pool, playing horseshoes or pool between rides.

I came here with my husband and some friends to hit some golf balls on the driving range on a…read moreholiday Monday. Mt. Paul golf course offers a 9 hole par 32 course. Their driving range has 20 covered stalls on ground level, and 10 stalls on the upper deck. We didn't have any golf clubs with us, so we had to rent everything. Club rental is $2 each, which is pretty good. The cost for a bucket of balls is $4 for a small, $7 for a medium, and $9.50 for a large bucket. This seemed a bit expensive to me since I'm used to paying ~$6 for a bucket of balls in Vancouver. However, they offer a great deal which is a large bucket of balls and breakfast for $10 before 11 AM if you're an early bird. You pay for the bucket inside, and you get a receipt with a code on it. You take that code to the ball machine on the right side of the driving range, and fill the bucket there. The driving range is nice in that it has huge nets caging in the range, so there's no loose balls flying everywhere. It also makes it easier to see where the ball goes if you consistently slice left or right (like I do). I also like that you get a nice view of the hills in the area, and can enjoy the driving range without being cooked in the sun. The course was in great shape, they set up dinner and dessert for us and even stocked the beer cart with his favourite drinks. They were friendly, professional, and fast with food and drinks. The price was very reasonable and we definitely would recommend it to others! Thanks for saving my butt and making my husbands day.

When I was finally able to get through on the one road available for local use only, I found that the only parking lot available was full with homeless people camped out on the sidewalk. Not going to drag a suitcase down the street in unsafe conditions from blocks away. Booked on Expedia.com and used credit I had there. Cancellation/refund policy stated no refunds if the reservation wasn't canceled by midnight the night before. I wasn't aware of the conditions of the roads nor neighborhood before I was in town so seems pretty unfair. Called the hotel to request a refund and can't reach anyone so will be working with Expedia on this. The hotel also seems to be rundown and not kept up, definitely not what one would expect from a Wyndham owned property.

It's located downtown Kamloops. Parking is somewhat limited, just one strip close to the hotel but they have another parking spot maybe 2 blocks away. If you are like me, just passing thru and have my luggages in the car, consider bringing them down first then park your car to the distant parking spot. I was not comfortable leaving my stuff in the car and parked far away. The staff was friendly. Checkin in and out was fast and effortless. The elevator was cramped almost only for 1-2 people. It was ok in my situation. The room was clean, and comfortable. I was on the fifth floor and can see around downtown. Didn't have to wait a long time for the elevators when going out or back to my room. There was a complimentary drink, either wine or beer, when I checked in. The bar was not full and I was told there was a hockey game playing nearby. Vancouver and Calgary game was on the big screen when I came in. Breakfast was sausage, bacon, potatoes, eggs, coffee. Hot meal is always welcome!

They planned this facility well and I loved that they provide free parking for tournaments...normally 2 hrs free parking.
