I was not upset that he couldn't take my case. I work in the legal field and understand how the process works. I learned additional information and asked Jason if that was under his scope of practice, and was not looking for additional legal advice or any advice, just asking if he could take on my case. I got to pay for my lnew lawyer to research a case that was already research resulting in double dipping. Should have told me they were not able to help me with the specific needs of my case because medical staff issues and the nuances of the medical field is not what they do and then they will keep you to juice you for billable hours. Not at all happy and I feel like they could care less about me. I was just a dollar sign. If you can hire them on contingency or for a set retainer with % of settlement fine but do not pay out of pocket or they will run up those hours.

They drafted my mother's will, so my siblings and I decided to use them for handling her estate after she passed away last September. That was the worst decision. Every document they have drafted for us has had glaring errors; continuous reference throughout to "his" estate and then some random man's name (most likely the last poor soul they used their form letter for). The latest was filing for probate proceedings and they put my sister's name in the Estate of box, then declaring her deceased; she is also listed as the personal representative (executrix) for the estate. I could see this being the mistakes of an obviously incompetent paralegal/assistant, however, Mr. Betz signed off on all of these documents. We are dealing with him from the greater Seattle area and it is a continuous game of phone-tag. My brother-in-law went to meet with them after their latest screw-up was filed with the county clerk, and as expected, Mr. Betz was unavailable. His paralegal/assistant was completely unapologetic and clearly knew the bulk of the errors fell upon her. If you are even remotely considering engaging their services, my advice would be to run away and not look back.
