Of course insurance denied 4 months later. I was not aware of this. I paid everything i thought up front. Did not open any mail from them thinking it was a review or check up. Now my credit got hit and was turned into collections. Called and they didnt offer to assist or make it right. Will not use them again! $40 dollar bill turned into $185! Never had a debt collector call me before.

They were remade 3 times because everytime I could not see through the lens because they were too strong. After going back the 3rd time I just knew they had them right this time because they lowered the strength and this was the 3rd try. How bout they were still too strong. I was told to take them try to see if my eyes would adjust to them. I took them drove in them, went to mall and struggled to see, it was awful. I then drive back to Mother shed and left the glasses. I told my the helper I can not see through these glasses. I tried calling back to talk to Dr, but was treated as if I didn't matter. Ask for Dr to call me. No call....this is by far the worse business and service I've had when buying eyeglasses. I'm not suppose to struggle to see through my lenses...I guess I will get a refund and I might look for a new Eye Dr. I use to like Mothershed but they have dropped the ball. They are not the only fish in the sea!!!! A disaster by far!!!

Went for routine eye exam for glasses and paid extra to get contact exam. The whole time I kept…read moretelling the dr it was blurry. I could make out the letters but it was blurry. I get home with these trial contacts. I can't read the first thing. His advice was to wear a +1 reader with the contact. Now my purpose for contacts is not to wear glasses. Sometimes I just want to throw in pair of contacts and go. If I wanted to wear glasses I would have just got glasses and not paid the extra. 3 days later I'm struggling and just can't see out of the contacts and decide not to get the contacts or glasses filled because I just don't think they r correct prescription. I go back to the office and see the other dr, whom is female. She's gives me less strength script. Still can't see. No matter how much I explain that my primary wearing would be glasses and was concerned about that more than anything. I had said that 3 and 4 times to both drs and they just would not be listen. I'm at the brink of tears. I tell her I just want to be able to see. People do it every day I can't understand why they can't get me a script. She finally gives me bifocals. Fine I can see some things but not everything. I told her I would try those. She tells me. TRY! She takes that as here's ur script. I sat what about my eye glass script I've already paid for. She's like well I can get you one. At the point I'm beyond livid. Like they don't want you to be satisfied or see they just want to take ur money, write script and heard you out the door. So my only visit for the year was wasted on a place that didn't help me. Guess I'll try again nex

Went in October to schedule for cataract surgery. Cataract surgery in October. Charged $50 fee for…read morerefraction that insurance would not cover before we ever left the check out desk. Told to come back for follow up in December which we did . Asked to pay another $50 for a refraction. Wasn't given a prescription for glasses but told to come back again in March for a laser treatment. Why keep charging $50 for uncovered refraction . They do not tell you this before you have it done either. Just try to make next appointment and demanding $50. No wonder they have such a nice building. I suspect they do this repeatedly to every patient. Absurd!!

When I went in for my first visit for the removal of cataracts all of the test that was performed…read morewere not overseen by a physician, Staff members were the ones that made all the decisions on which lens would be placed in my eyes in surgery. Dr. Zogsby never checked behind these staff members. I assumed (my mistake) they knew what they were doing so I put my trust in these decisions. Before this surgery I never wore glasses but I was seeing through a slightly cloudy film that I was told was due to the cataracts. I approved of having the surgery because staff members told me I would have a new lease on life because I would not need distance eye ware which I didn't have to have anyway (but I may need readers which I was already using for up close work) Dr. Zogsby came in the examination room just to tell me he would be doing the surgery. On the day of surgery I was given a small amount of anesthesia and the procedure began. He talked about his son playing ball with the nurse the whole time (which was approximately 10 mins) He never addressed me other than when he was finished at which time he said "You did great" and walked out. When I went back for my checkup my vision was 20/20 but 2 weeks later it had deteriorated to 20/50. I was told it may take several weeks before my brain may accept the new lens. I took them at their word, so I scheduled the second eye for the same surgery. The second eye was much of the same outcome 20/35. I was struggling to see and couldn't drive due to this deterioration. When Dr. Zogsby said it may be a some other underlying condition that I have he tried to say I may have the beginnings of glaucoma at which time he gave me a eyedrop that was suppose to help with pressure on the optic nerve. These drops made my eyes blood shot and burned constantly. My opinion, is that the lens that was placed in my eyes were reversed and now after 7 months of this struggle I returned to my regular eye doctor and he told me I would need glasses that would somewhat correct my sight. He also said there was no sign of glaucoma and high pressure. He told me to stop the drops at which time the burning a redness disappeared. I think this clinic is relying on staff member's to do the doctor's job. Some of the doctors may have a great outcome but I would not recommend this clinic at all. You never know which doctor you will get. Please do your homework before letting anyone touch one of your most precious senses.

Dr. Machat and the ophthalmologist gave me a second chance at sight and absolutely changed my life. It has been 3 years since the surgery and I still see just as clearly as I did the day after surgery. They understood my severe anxiety issues, they were patient with me. Everything happened so quickly too that it didn't allow me a chance to back out and talk myself out of it and I'm so glad because this has been an amazing amazing amazing experience for me. My husband and I came in on a Wednesday to see if I qualified for Lasik at all, after the testing, which was thorough but quick, we were explained the options and the costs. My husband and I decided to go ahead and pay upfront in full and scheduled my procedure for that Friday. So I had one day to freak out and then I was in the procedure room! Highly recommend this lasik institute, the staff, Dr.Machat and just getting lasik in general. I was on the fence about it but I would gladly do this procedure over and over again every year if I had to to have these same results as I currently have, even 3 years later. Also, don't get discouraged if your regular eye doctor tells you that you're "not a candidate" for lasik and that it "would never work" because sometimes those doctors are wrong or are just trying to make more $ off of you. This has been the best decision I have ever made and so thankful my husband pushed me to do it because he knew how much it would help me.
