Yelp generally doesn't have that many reviews for businesses that aren't restaurants(at least in my experience). So when I was researching tinting places and saw such a high number of reviews for Alta mere with good ratings I figured it was a can't miss... and thankfully the Yelposhere was right! It all starts with their website, which is remarkably user-friendly and where you select your tint package and pre-pay, then schedule an appointment to bring the vehicle in. As someone who knew barely anything about tint coming in, they have short videos for each package that explain the differences between each package and what they offer remarkably well and I was up to speed in no time. One of the biggest pieces of jargon when it comes to tint for someone who is unfamiliar is the percentage of tint desired. They eliminate this completely by just having 3 options of either light, medium or dark so that percentage is not necessary at all. The decision on which shade to pick is not made online but rather in store at the time of the appointment. This eliminates a lot of the stress of the choice as you're able to visualize in person what each looks like. Now for the in-store experience: it's as epic as some of the other reviews describe. Amazing waiting area with couches, chairs and a big screen TV. The walls are decorated with beautiful murals of OKC landmarks and best of all, complementary drinks(soda and beer), chocolate bars, assorted snacks and a coffee machine. Couldn't ask for a better waiting space. Customer service was fantastic, while I was waiting I could hear the front desk person explain the tint process to customers walking in and you can tell he was passionate about tint and great at courteously explaining things. My vehicle was done in 45 minutes. They gave me verbal instructions on what to expect along with a handout, and the next day I got a text from a number that I could contact anytime with any concerns that come up. I had a wonderful experience at Turbotint. I paid and was able to schedule my appointment for the same day. When I arrived, they explained my tint options, took my jeep back and I got to sit in an amazing waiting room and relax. Never have I had such a relaxing experience while in a waiting room. I got to sit with my book by the fireplace and drink coffee (ton of selection). The waiting room had tons of snacks and drinks to choose from, including beer and wine. I got to meet the owners dog, a beautiful German Shepard named Greta. My jeep was done in 50 min and they had tinted all 8 of my windows. Being new to OKC I was looking for somewhere reliable to get the windows tinted on my vehicle. After scouring the web for a bit I decided on Alta Mere. There are several window films and tint shade options available but I decided to purchase their 15% Stratos brand ceramic tint. This tint has made a huge improvement to comfort in the car. It reduces the sunlight coming into the car and even more importantly it reduces the heat!! Greg is fantastic to work with. After making an appointment online I showed up and was nothing but impressed with the service and condition of this shop. My windows were tinted in about 50 minutes and I was off and on my way. As promised, my car was done in about an hour & everything was done perfectly. The employees are super helpful and friendly. The cost is as expected, a couple hundred dollars for tint. I've only had 2 cars tinted here in the 13 years this place has been open, and the reason is that I drive the first one for all 13 years. The tint still looks great on it and I have never had a problem with it. So when I bought a new car yesterday, I didn't hesitate to go here for another tint. First of all, my tint looks great. I ended up going with the most popular ceramic package with the medium level of tint. My car had a darker factory glass in the rear, so they evened it out in the front for me. The booking and payment is done online and is very easy. You do not have to select the darkness of your tint until you arrive in person. The staff was extremely helpful when I arrived and the waiting area was clean and comfortable. Update. I went back to have the driver side window fixed because there was some bubbling. I was told that this is common and that it was a small bubble and in the window tinting business, this is a perfectly acceptable window. I understand that dust happens. But it honestly looks like they didn't even wiped the window down before they put the tint on. I told the guy working the desk my whole experience and how I was very dissatisfied with the whole process. He apologized and asked if he could do anything to make it better. This of course was after he explained again that dust happens. Based on my experience, I do not understand how this is a top rated company. I made an appointment online to have my windows tinted and to have the roll down service so I wouldn't have to wait two days for the tint to dry. After choosing which tint I wanted I waited and went to pay only to find that the roll down service had not been done. Instead, I got the upgraded service of a warranty even though I told them that I did not live in the state or anywhere near their other locations and so a warranty didn't make any sense. After paying, I went to see the tint. It looked great and I was satisfied however, the windshield had streaks from the application process and the dash was wet. There was water dripping down the drivers door and all the windows were still wet. My rear view mirror hadn't even been plugged back in. These are the things that a top rated company would make sure didn't happen. They would clean up after themselves and make sure to give their customers the best option that makes sense. I do not recommend this company. There are plenty of people who do window tint for cheaper and will clean up after themselves. read more
