I was very impressed when I walked in as they had it decorated very nicely for the fall season and also had really cute merch! The studio itself was larger than some of the others I've seen and was well laid out. The class itself was just OK as the insturctor seemed to constantly be changing the gear and didn't get into a groove. With that said, the instructor and other team members were all very friendly. While I did prefer a different studio within Knoxville, I would go back to this one on occasion if I lived in town!

My friend and I wanted to try a different type of exercise class and came across CycleBar. They offer your first class free--however trying to get this offer and apply it to the class of your choosing was a struggle for my friend and I. When we couldn't figure out how to sign up with the free class for the day and time we wanted, I tried calling the studio to get some help. I called several times but no one answered and their mailbox was full so I wasn't able to leave a message. Then, I tried emailing them since on their answering machine, they said that if you need more immediate assistance to send them an email. So I did that, but I still didn't get a reply. My friend ended up just paying the $30 fee for the class to get it over with. Then, when I read other reviews and saw others had the same issue AND that they were turned away when they arrived, I was pretty nervous about what to expect. My friend and I made sure to arrive 20 minutes prior to the class like the confirmation email/text said. I noticed though, that the sign at their check in stated that new riders must arrive 30 minutes before class but they will allow up to 20 minutes prior--so if you're a new rider here wanting to try a class, just keep that in mind! We were able to check in and get our gear when we arrived without any issue. The three girls working there that morning were all helpful and showed us where things were and helped my friend and I get set up on our bikes. We had a lot of fun in the class! Katie was our instructor and she was really cool and super friendly! The class is a great workout. My friend doesn't get to workout at a gym or anything on a regular basis--I'm a former fitness trainer and workout in my home gym 5-6 times a week. She and I were able to do this class, have fun and have similar stats, so this would be a great class for people of all exercise backgrounds! I'm not sure I'll sign up for a membership right now, but I know my friend and I enjoyed our experience and would like to come back again. Hopefully we can continue to have good experiences that will make us feel comfortable with committing to any kind of membership, but after the struggles we had to get into the first class and still didn't receive any assistance, makes me a bit hesitant. If the business works on improving their customer support outside of class, that would make the overall experience more positive.

I understand they want new riders there 30 minutes early, but since I already knew the setup and we still arrived before class started, I honestly didn't think it would be a huge issue. What made this experience so upsetting was how rude the front desk woman was. There was zero understanding or kindness in the way she spoke to us. She immediately turned us away and wouldn't even let me ride either, even though I'm a returning rider and was there 5 minutes before class. The attitude was honestly unnecessary. The whole place felt super unwelcoming. My boyfriend's first impression was getting treated like we were inconveniencing them just by showing up. I was actually considering buying a class pack after this visit, but after the way we were treated, definitely not anymore. This place gets a more thumbs down from me would not recommend!

I use free weights and do sprints between sets and the indoor track is perfect for this. Spin class with Ronnda is always fun and challenging, and their yoga and body pump classes are great too. The three year contract is daunting for those who are unsure about their commitment to a regular workout routine, but I've been there three years now and I have no plan to switch anytime soon!

But they were pretty sneaky about the change in ownership and raised their fees without announcing it, because they had signs saying there was new management, but not mentioning there would be any change in membership fees to look out for. When I started noticing every month I was being charged an insane amount, I told them and asked why that was happening and they said with the new ownership there was a raise in fees. They also did admit that I was actually still being overcharged "accidentally" and they had been finding their system had been doing this to "many" people. So they admitted it was their fault but still refused to refund the amount they had been overcharging me. But even when they lowered it, it was still the increased fee, which was not part of the contract I had signed when signing up for the gym. When I told them this, they tried to gaslight me that I had always been paying the increased fee despite my bank records proving otherwise, and when I asked them to pull out my physical contract I signed in person, they said they lost a lot of contracts while doing a transfer of stuff under new management and couldn't find it. The amenities might be great here, but the company became a gross, manipulative, and exploitative thing. Finally I demanded to cancel my membership since I realized they can cheat me out of my money whenever and then refuse to refund me even when they admit it was their mistake, and that was like $400. I'm still upset about this because they completely ruined a great place
