We had our Bella groomed by the Lucky Dog Mobile Grooming except, it was in Brooklyn, NY. I searched through Yelp and I could not find a listing for Lucky Dog Mobile Grooming in Brooklyn. Honestly, this didn't make sense to me. It certainly does exists because, we just had our dog groomed by Lucky Dog, directly on our street in Fort Green, Brooklyn. I want to give the Brooklyn, Lucky Dog Grooming the review they deserve. However, since I don't see an alternative, I am posting this with the Freehold, NJ location. I'm hoping this can be straightened out. I was extremely happy with their services and I want the correct location and individuals to get the review they deserve. This was our first experience using Lucky Dog to bath, groom, and give Bella a "spa day." We had used another mobile grooming company twice within the last six months. I wasn't disappointed with their services but, they were extremely overpriced. Our Bella can be very dramatic and trying to bath her, cut her nails, and groom her is not easy. We have given up on attempting to get her clean at home. She gets so stressed, which makes us stressed. She also has become a bathtub an escape artist. When the Lucky Dog van arrived, Bella didn't just calmly hop in the van. She used her flair for drama. One would think she was going to "the slammer." Chris was incredibly patient with Bella and myself. She was patient, sensitive and encouraging with Bella. Once Bella was actually in the grooming van, the melodramatic behavior stopped. Bella was put at ease by Chris. Thank you Chris, you deserve a reward! When Bella was finished with her spa experience, she was not only clean and shiny (with trimmed nails, ears cleaned) she was calm and happy. We (Bella) will be a regular customer with Lucky Mobile Grooming. Next time Bella may be presented with an Oscar for best outstanding, overly dramatic dog!

My vet wanted $150 to do the micro chip and register pup for only one year. I found the Garden State Animal Rescues micro chip clinic and I am glad I did! They were so kind and personable to deal with. They came to my house to do the injection and they registered my pup with home again for life! The fee? $30 because I live in monmouth county! Not only did they do that service, but they gave me info on training and suggested a probiotic for my puppy's upset stomach. Cannot say enough good about them! I was actually scared to leave my dog there, but being new to the area and not knowing any better, I did. I was charged $70 yes, you read it, to groom a toy size dog. She tried to make extra money off of me by giving the bogus excuse that there was "fine print" on her coupon. My dog came back scared and with ribbons in a male dogs ears. They took a year and a dav to cut out. I wouldn't be surprised if she learned how to groom from YouTube.

She was frightened, skiddish & non-compliant. Gregg was recommended to me by another golden owner whose dog had similar issues. From the 1st time he came to our home, he put Bailey at ease enough for her to be able to be groomed. His many years of experience certainly showed & he still comes to our home every 5 wks for our pups. Last year he even noticed an abnormality on her paw which unfortunately was cancer & led to her passing in April. Gregg is awesome & the convenience of a mobile groomer is an extra plus.

She invited my wife and I to drop by and meet some of the pups who might be our future family dog. Like a good, responsible breeder, she screened and interviewed us to make sure we would be good dog owners. And low and behold, she approved us and we got Ellie (a black lab) in Feb 2012 when she was old enough to leave her mother. At 4 years old, Ellie is the best dog I've ever had and seeing all the photos of pups from Jen temps me to get another. And if I do, I'm definitely going back to Ark Angels.

Know up front ALL COSTS. Read reviews here and as many other places as you can before leaving a deposit, it seems some people get lucky, others do not. I suggest searching as much as you can so you know what you are dealing with. Dogs may be top notch as others have posted but our experience was not a positive one in any way shape or form. We found the owner to be very unprofessional and unhinged. Lots of profanity and talking down about others. She even tried contacting my son with special needs via social media - not cool at all.
