It was absolutely disgusting and ridiculously expensive, this is not a resort its more of a run down motel. The first time we got a room spiders were crawling all over the bed so we were relocated to another room. The new room also had several spiders in the closet, on the floor, and a huge wolf spider coming out of the tub. There were several bugs on the ceiling, in the corners of the room, and a grass hopper in the bathroom. A cicada flew in on the ceiling. My toddler was with us and has bite marks all over his abdomen, down his back, his legs, and on his neck. This is a huge safety concern and was reported to the staff which did provide us a refund. I had to spend so much money at a laundry mat to clean out our suit case and wash all of our clothes before we went home because we have no idea what was biting our son. I also have bug bites on my abdomen. Do NOT ever stay here it was absolutely horrible, what a nightmare!!!!! Wish I could give this place a negative 5 stars. Also the room was not cleaned, the sheets were stained, the comforter also had many stains, the bathroom lotion bottles had been used, and the soap bar was open, there was also a dead centipede in the tub, just disgraceful.

I normally play in Fort Myers, Lee County, Florida which has a lot of golf courses both public and private. I was very impressed with the manicured grounds of the course. I would be hard pressed to name a course with better grounds keeping. I look forward to playing on this course.

The fairways are in very poor shape and the "rough" is riddled with poison ivy. The greens were moldy and had large arches of black rot on them. The young man in the club house was nice, but incapable of making a single decision on his own. The cost was ridiculous for the quality of the course. I found it overrated aver priced and completely lacking. I left my name and number for the Pro, to call me, but never received a call. You've been fairly warned. I will not return to this course as a guest.

(see Indian Rock House Cave.) FOOTGOLF: We actually played Footgolf there with the kids. Yeah, we'd never heard of it either. So it's "golf" played with a soccer ball, your foot, and giant holes (about 2x the width of the soccer ball.) Each player has a soccer ball and plays with rules like putt putt. Novel and lots of fun! I recommend renting a golf cart (only $9 more) because 1) cruising in a golf cart was as fun as playing for the kids 2) you play the entire course. It is, of course, a lot of walking (not like putt putt in that way.) Our kids wouldn't have made it 3 holes without a cart. There's a footgolf hole on each green of the golf course. You are playing with and among other golfers, so I'd recommend going when they're not busy (afternoon, early evening.) Though most of the golfers we encountered were very nice and patient. They mostly found us and this footgolf thing amusing.

We even played 27 holes one day and barely got the cart back to the barn before dark. We would play this again, but stay closer or in one of the rental on site.
