They also have an awesome convenience store with Turkish goods as well as a store for Islamic related items including books for nonbelievers but those interested in learning more about the faith The campus is absolutely gorgeous, and I wouldn't be surprised if they had weddings and photoshoots here. All in all I think it's pretty cool that this towering masjid is straight up in the middle of suburban Maryland, and I think this is a great place to learn about islam, and find other members of faith in the DMV area!

I've seen people coming to mosque from all walks of life, Interestingly Refreshments are served almost always after any major event. I stop by here to pray whenever I'm in the immediate area, which isn't very often. Every time I've come, though, I've been received warmly and treated equally. While this is a clean and pretty mosque in which to pray, the community here is welcoming beyond what the surrounding NE DC is. They are a bright spot in an otherwise lackluster part of the city. The Sister Clara Muhammad school teaches children, and doesn't preach craziness to the young ones. Rather, the children in this community are raised to treat everyone with respect and good manners. I'm really happy with this. I would suggest that Masjid Muhammad's Board be even more involved than they are in interfaith programs and hold more open houses. This would take the community to the next level.

It's been two years since I started my journey to Islam, and McLean Islamic Center truly feels like home to my heart. The community is sincere and kind, and every person I've met here is a beautiful example of what it means to be a good Muslim. The imams also have the most beautiful recitation, clear, moving, and so easy to connect with even when I was still learning. Ramadan at this mosque is soo live, so many people coming together. ALHAMDULILLAH. Great place to put your children in for sunday school. They have developed tons of programs here and the imaam really connects to the youth on a younger level where they understand things easier. Friday night halaqas are a great time to learn and gather about various topics as well as keeping in touch with your sisters and brothers. Love this place. Alhamdulillah :)
