I got locked in my car today in a church parking lot due to a dead battery. I was being assisted by an older man who had just gotten out of church. The older man tried to open my car door and get me out and did what he could to make sure I was ok. He was still there when Turlock City Tow arrived. While the situation itself was just mildly inconvenient, the customer service I received today from Raul made my experience unnecessarily uncomfortable. Raul was successful in restoring power to my vehicle. However, Raul's demeanor and general attitude was unexpected and not ok. Here are some examples. First as I was watching him get the battery powered up while locked in my car, he asked me, WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT? Then he proceeded to share his opinion to the faults of my vehicle as I was waiting there to be let out. When I finally was able to open my door, he told me it was my fault I got stuck in my car, and he said that I needed to get another vehicle. I ignored his comments. He stood outside my window and I was getting ready to leave and I thanked the older man. Raul then said WHY ARE YOU THANKING HIM HE DIDNT DO ANYTHING IM THE ONE THAT HELPED YOU. I said he helped me remain calm. I offered a suggestion and said he might think about how he treats people and how he talks to them. He seemed confused and asked WHY. I said because you are rude. He then said YOU ARE RUDE. So I didn't respond and he kept going. I said ok I'm going to call your supervisor. He told me to go ahead and told me his name is Raul. I did attempt to call Turlock City Tow a total of 7 times and nobody answered. I really hope Raul reflects on his demeanor and general attitude toward customers. I hope others have a better experience but I do not think I would ever refer anyone to this towing service. read more

I needed a tow from the residence to my mechanic here in Turlock after my vehicle stopped working suddenly. Turlock City Tow Service was fast in their arrival time once dispatched and swiftly yet safely from what I could view, secured my vehicle onto their industrial-sized vehicle. I spoke with Ruben on the phone when setting up the tow using my Nationwide Auto Insurance policy which includes a limited amount of cost-free tows. This tow company was recommended to me by my mechanic Roger, at Rogers Auto on 20th Century Boulevard, Turlock, CA, which is where my vehicle was being towed to for diagnostics and repair. The male employee who was dispatched was polite and friendly and protected my vehicle from what I could see from damage while the towing process was occurring. It was a positive experience. The MOST PLEASANT experience with towing !! The app was on point letting me know status, I was able to text driver of slight change of plans, Sam came to grab the keys from my location Cuts Steakhouse (still waiting for my food 45 mins later- the quoted time for tow to arrive), Sam arrived fast, called once he got to location to ask where I wanted the vehicle and texted letting me know of key location. "Ducky" aka Robert was awesome! My truck broke down enroute to a service center to get it diagnosed and after calling AAA and given a 45min ETA, which is pretty standard, he was there within 13 minutes! He was very polite, patient, kind, funny and very knowledgeable. He was teaching us a couple things about cars and really appreciated that! We were literally to the service center before his ETA was even up. I was highly impressed with how fast he worked and how he made a bad event into a good one just with his awesome customer service. Had a blow out tonight on the 99 and called AAA. They stated it would be 45 minutes for service. Turlock City Tow arrived within 20 minutes!! They kept contact via text and even had a map to show me the driver's exact location. Tom from Turlock City Tow was so fast and efficient. Who would think that a tow service/yard would be a place of comfort at a low point in life but here I am to say that this is that place. Joe the supervisor and his team showed me such great care after my black skittle (2000 Mustang GT convertible) was hit and totaled. My car was my heart so much so that the thought and stress of no longer having it caused me to have a heart attack a week after the accident. Worst experience with a tow service! Tow truck driver was incompetent and couldn't locate my vehicle when parked right outside my home. Tried to talk with staff to get some sort of accountability left with them as well as for review purposes and they were crass and the most unhelpful workers. It seemed like they had no real experience understanding an upset customer and just didn't feel the need show compassion or any sort of accountability for frustration caused by the situation or how they handled themselves when we tried to reach out to talk to someone in charge. They made it clear that we would not be given the information to be in contact with someone in charge to get help. read more

I had a little accident in which I high-centered my car on a high curb. I called AAA and they sent Turlock City Tow our to help. Two gentlemen came out. Super easy. I was able to coordinate a tow with Reuban for a car that was abandoned on our property. Reuban was super friendly and I felt good about having them work with one of my clients. I needed a tow and called my insurance, mind you that I didn't have the keys and I wasnt with the vehicle because it was actually my husbands vehicle and he left it parked on the side of the road. I had to travel to turlock to meet the tow truck guy, once I arrived he left. I called the company and they said he would be there. I'm waiting and he's still not there, I call back and they said I have to wait another 45 mins. All while I have newborn, and my 4 other children. I called for a tow, told them what type of vehicle etc. They said it should be between 45 min. to an hour. They called us back, and asked if we still wanted a tow (duh) and said YES, cause it was raining and we were stranded. An hour and ten min. later we had to call them, and they said they never received a call from us? We have all of the proof on phone records. So, they said if we still wanted a tow, it would be 90 minutes...in the pouring rain. I will never call or recommend this company again!!! read more

I called this company a week before and they couldn't schedule it and asked me to call back the day before so they could schedule it. I did. They said they would pick it up at 7 AM. They called at 7:45 to say sorry- they would be there by 9. They did not show up until 10 AM. Being stranded on the busy I-5 freeway, on the slim shoulder, on an incline, pulling a trailer was SCARY...to say the least. My wife and I were so happy when Jaime from City Tow, Turlock arrived on scene. This was not an easy task - getting us off the freeway with Big Rigs flying past. Jaime was OUTSTANDING!! I can not say this big enough: OUTSTANDING! He was able to get our truck AND RV where they needed to be, and assisted us in getting our truck (transmission failed) all the way home to our local mechanic. On my way through Turlock from Palm Springs to Placerville I had the unfortunate vehicle breakdown. Stranded just off 99 I called my roadside assistance and they sent Turlock City Tow. My wait time was expected due the time of afternoon and traffic. I immediately saw the bright yellow truck. It was clean and organized of a professional business. I was greeted by Joel who was kind, courteous and understanding of our situation. He was quick to get our Ford Excursion loaded and we were off to the dealership. While I did the paperwork at the dealer Joel had my vehicle unloaded and ready for the service department. Well i work for a preservation company and we were in a bind trying to get three cars removed from a property. We called Turlock City Tow service and they said they could come the same day and remove each car for $100 per car. We sent someone to meet them and the towing service never showed up. We ended up rescheduling for them to come another day and they called and advised they couldn't do it for less than triple the overall price would've been when we already paid the $300 up front.
