I would love to know who at Turnstyle decided the consignment process should feel like a low-budget escape room, but here we are. When you drop off your clothes, they give you a nice, official-sounding "donation date" - you know, so you can come grab your items if they don't sell. Except... plot twist: they actually donate your items the Sunday before that date and just don't mention it. And if you do manage to show up in time to reclaim your own clothes, be prepared to pay $1 per item - yes, to take back things that already belonged to you. Nothing says "great business model" like a cover charge for your own wardrobe. Oh, and they don't pull your items for you. No, no - that would be too convenient. Instead, you're left wandering the store like a confused raccoon, rifling through racks trying to figure out what's yours, only to be told you can pay $1 to get each item back. At that point, you might as well just donate everything to Goodwill, take the tax deduction, and skip the surprise deadlines, scavenger hunts, and ransom fees altogether. read more

Great place to consign close. They take a bit of time to process your clothes, but most nice items get picked and you can make a dollar or two off used clothes. read more

I made an appointment to have some clothes dropped off for consignment. The ladies there were so rude to me. Barely took anything ! I had everything ironed and on hangers! I looked around the store and found some things that were not as nice as my things! They weren't very nice either like I was wasting their time, excuse me this is your job! Sold items at this store which takes 60% of the sales price, You don't even get the 40% because they have "sales". I would have been better off selling these things at a garage sale or giving them to a charity. Ex. They sold Li Bien Christmas ornaments from World Plus and I got .30 to $1.50 each. I found more of these in my storage and sold them for $10 to $30 each dependent upon pattern. When I called about the remainder of my items, they had no idea what happened to them. All in all I brought in 20 some items and got $20 some dollars. read more

This was easily the MOST unprofessional experience I've ever experienced at a store in my entire life. I returned an item that I purchased the the DAY before and was told that not only I was unable to obtain store credit, but would receive no money back because I didn't have a receipt. I had proof of the transaction on my debit card with date etc., and asked if they could look up the card transaction number. The young girl at the front desk said there was "nothing she could do" and I need to "move aside". She also proceeded to call me the C word, began giggling, and went to grab her phone to text the "manager" who was on lunch. I asked to speak to her manager and maintain my composure as to what had just happened ( I was in shock), thinking I would actually be approached by a reasonable adult and professional, however the "manager" immediately spoke to me in a condescending tone and told me something similar about policy (which is fine) but in an extremely unprofessional way. As I was standing there in absolute shock from how she was approaching the matter, I asked if she could look up my card number and she began walking away and said, "I am not going to play this game with you". Both of these employees have demonstrated the most unprofessional behavior I have ever seen and should be let go. I would NEVER buy an item here again. Its funny there are so many people complaining about RUDE staff at this turn style. That has consistently been my experience too. Why? Why would you treat your customers so badly? You shouldn't own a shop or work at a shop if you dont like your customers. I know they know, because I have told them face to face. It reminds me of the feeling I got from the snooty, pretentious way the ladies at Daytons makeup/perfume counter treated you. I was very young and let that happen, but at least they were working at Daytons, not a used consignment shop. I dont need someone to kiss my feet, just treat me with an ounce of respect would be nice. I dont shop there anymore. It seems like the Chanhassen location is the worst and all the staff has been infected with the behavior. I dont run into this at any of the other locations. read more

I like Turnstyle, both the home and clothing part. I believe in recycling rather than landfill dumping. However, they have hired a volatile young lady who works at the back of the clothing section and now I am afraid to go in. She screams at people coming in to drop off and told one lady that's the only way that she gets people to listen to her. I'm not sure how to proceed, may be will only go in with my husband. read more

The woman that works in the back with the short gray bob hair is the most unprofessional woman I have ever talk to with the worst attitude. I went back three different times trying to consign my items. The recording on their phone system said I could consign until 7 PM. The first time I showed up at 6 PM and she said in a very nasty way that they stopped in signing at 6 PM because of Covid. I explained that's not what the recording says. She proceeded to tell me I should've called the main number and ask to talk to a person. Why would I do that when that information was on the number I dialed. So I did my part in preparation to my arrival! The second time I showed up. The girl tells me she can only take 10 items because they are shortstaffed. The third time I show up they told me they can only look at 35 items and won't be taking anything until fall. Absolutely the nastiest woman I have ever come in contact with. I will never be back there ever. And I hope this is a real wake up call to her. Kindness and customer service goes along way. She has a lot to learn in that department! read more

I was looking this up to see if anyone else had the same rude experience as me and looks like others have. I have been treated so rudely by the people there, they ignore you, give you little information, rude in their responses, and spend all their time chatting with each other. With one exception, I did have a very friendly encounter with one employee at the front counter, she was courteous and helpful, and I complimented her on that, and told her I have had bad experiences in the past. I'm going to just donate my goods to a non-profit from now on, it's not worth it to be treated so rudely. read more

My review is just of the consignment process itself. You guys, I DREAD when I have to go here to drop things off. And I've been going here for about 7 years. They are so rude and noncommunicative. It isn't hard to just courteously say, "Great, it'll be about 20 minutes." And then let me know when you're done. But they say nothing. Of if they do, it's snotty/annoyed/huffy. You put your stuff on the rod to be looked at and they say nothing -- not even a grunt -- and disappear into a back corner. I have no clue how long it will take, when they will be done, what is going on, etc. I will say that the last time I was there, whoever was in back was slightly less rude (although still non communicative). That was the first time that has happened. The extremely rude gal (c'mon, do you really hate your life that much?) had the day off, I guess. You can bring your stuff here if you want. But steel yourself before you go like I do. Find a happy place, set aside at least 60 minutes of wasted time, and good luck. read more

Whenever I go in here, it's usually just me (plus the coworkers inside). I think this is a little secret of Eden Prairie, as they have loads of awesome finds, waiting to be snatched up. I have been to other Turn Style Home locations, and by far this is my favorite. First off, it's a completely separate store from the Turn Style Clothing shop across the street which is a nice plus and makes it less overwhelming to shop around. I've found some great pieces here to jazz up my old apartments, including a vintage French painting and a cool oversized floral clock for my kitchen. They have a great selection of end tables, mirrors, and unique kitchen type items. Definitely worth a trip over here (to the suburbs) to check this hidden consignment store out! read more

If you consign and get a check, make sure it has an electronic signature or the bank will decline it. Then you have to go back to Turnstyle to have them void the check and process a new one. Crazy! I've shopped at this location for years and they have a wide selection of women's clothing, shoes and accessories as well as men's and kid's. read more

I have never shopped the clothing store but I make sure I visit the furniture store every time we are in the area (live in WI). I have bought several items, from furniture to dishware to decorative items. I am always very pleased with the selection, quality and the prices. read more

Honestly, the rudest I've ever been treated at a clothing store. I stood at the counter waiting to look at their wallets for a good 15 minutes without even an acknowledgement from either the cashier or the other worker (who was more interested in gossiping and wandering around then making eye contact). The store wasn't busy at all! Besides that, the clothing selection is outdated, pedestrian and overpriced. Better pickings at your local Goodwill. read more

This is a great place to find unique items at consignment prices. This is the home store, so it is all household items. They just remodeled and expanded this store. There is so much space now! And they have broken up the furniture displays to actually look like individual rooms. Much easier to look at things! I liked it before, but I always felt crowded, now I love it. They have furniture, artwork, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom items. Any kind of decorating items you may want. read more

Bought an old buffet there on Sunday. It was delivered today with a broken leg. When I contacted the store, the manager was very rude and said I had bought it as is. They were aware of the broken leg per the delivery driver and did not say anything to me. She said I could return it on my own but would forfeit the delivery fee. Will never shop there again. First I just want to say the gentleman working tonight 1/29, was very helpful friendly and accommodating for my mom and I. We have now been to this location 4 times and have spent between $500-$600 just on the red tag sale. Also tonight, we felt disrespected by another employee. She was behind the counter, not doing anything, I pointed to our 90 something items that we took off the hangers and stacked up in a pile and said "this is our yes pile we are getting all of these." She stared at the pile and said "ok I'm just trying to figure out how much this is going to cost" and walked away. We felt the comment was inappropriate and offensive. We waited for the nice gentlemen to come back to the counter to help us. We love the store and the awesome deals we have gotten so far, but wish all employees had his welcoming customer service skills. read more

I tried out the Turnstyle Home Goods Consignment in Eden Prairie after a friend consigned multiple pieces of furniture there - the plan was to see how it went with consigning 1 item, then follow up with several more pieces. Was very disappointed by the staff''s rude attitudes, so needless to say I won't be giving them any more business. There are plenty of other much higher quality consignment stores in the area. read more

I absolutely LOVE consignment shops, but this store seems to have it's own agenda. The people that run it need a full semester of customer service etiquette, and then they can train their staff. While there are some decent finds there, the prices are absurd. A savy shopper can find the same/comperable items new at the prices tagged for the used in the store. No 'buys' to be found there. You can buy new for what they want there for used. read more
