I bought a couple of items last Saturday oct 25. while I was doing a card transaction, I noticed that item was totally damaged and after speaking with the assistant manager ( Did not want to contact his manager to consult or try to solve this situation) to cancel the purchase transaction, he said that won't accept the merchandise back, get a credit back, or my money back, and to do whatever it takes to get it back!!! One minute later, I cancelled my card, and stopped payment to them. they did not want the merchandise back, and will litigate it if necessary. Not a problem!!!. I will do whatever it takes to show the irregular business they are handleing, and pursue all the routes to make everyone aware of the their shaky business... My next move is to file a complain with the BBB.so they can accept their damaged merchandise back!! read more

I am having a similiar situation as some of the reviews with consignment. Honestly terrible communication. I brought in 10 items one the more expensive items...after trying to get ahold of them for a few weeks-- I was told was broken when they got it and donated with out me being told. These were family items and using their consignment seemed like a great opportunity to find good homes. I have not received any updates almost Months later about my items And was told on multiple occasions their manager would Call me back. Very disheartening when you are trusting a company with antiques. If you can I would recommend just selling on Facebook. Because when your pieces are only up the managers discretion to donate without communication makes for a good way to "donate" and sell for their own profit. read more

I'm done with this store! The manager is incredibly rude, and I swear she makes up new rules every time I bring items in to sell. One visit, another customer confirmed that they were not taking any more clothes that day, and I asked, " Does that include men's clothes and her response was, "Clothes are clothes". WOW! Today I brought in 4 men's shirts and two household items. Not sure why the gentleman helping me said he could take no more than 20 items, but okay, fine. I came back a few hours later with two pictures, and the unfriendly manager said, "Were you in earlier"? Yes, she says, "you can only come in once a day". Are you kidding me? Only 6 items earlier, not 20, and not twice in a day?!?! Oh, "but you can come back tomorrow". Yeah, no thanks! I'd rather donate to a worthy charity than have this cranky woman enjoy her power trip. when it comes to the selection of clothes they have, a good share of them are super cheap and basically a steal, from my experience. i saw a very nice shirt for three bucks, and a nice pair of baggy jeans for seven. i've seen some items priced more than what they're worth- some are exceptionally ugly but fashion is subjective. anyways look out for that lmao the staff are nice and keep things brief and simple, there was a woman who looked really tired when i came in today.. she kinda freaked me out but service was smooth nonetheless. i haven't consigned anything yet so this review is from a consumer's perspective. read more

I've consigned here for years and have always been baffled by the lack of organization in regards to what is being sold and who it's consigned is getting a portion of the sale. When you walk around things are valued so high for consignment. You're better off looking at other consignments, yard sales, Facebook marketplace, or offer up for a true deal and selection. When consigning furniture you follow the protocols, receive the emails confirming, and have no luck calling and speaking with someone to schedule the day to bring it in. If you give up and just take it in you will be rudely confronted. We rented a truck to take a dresser and they will not offer any assistance to get furniture in so bring your own entire crew to help you. They don't just let you drop it in but you have to place it in the store where they want, when they want. There is no communication when a large sale such as a furniture piece is made. Your receipt is so vague and doesn't tell you what the item was sold for and what you got for it. My sister, mom, and myself have really questioned if they even keep track of what you took in and the process for sale etc. I've also been told to keep items and bring them next week because then they would be able to take them. As a working mom it's lucky to get there once let alone more than once with the same junk. I often save my time and donate to shelters instead or just drop it at ARC. read more

This used to be the BEST store! It used to have beautifully organized displays, really nice things, great prices, sweet employees. They used to be very picky about the things they would accept. Nice clothes, shoes, accessories. WHAT HAPPENED?! Went there today and was so disappointed. The place is filthy (guess there's too much stuff on the floor to vacuum now?) The shelves are overstuffed/unorganized with WAY overpriced junk (this place is charging $8.50 something you can find at the dollar store). Is this Goodwill? This is the opposite of the thrift store. Don't expect to get anything for a reasonable price, everything is extremely expensive. Just a heads up to all of the employees at turnstyle, beanie babies are worthless lol. While I was there looking around, I had the pleasure of witnessing an interaction between an employee and a customer. Employee was incredibly RUDE to several customers who walked up looking for help. I consigned a large amount of items to this store. they did not call me to tell me when the items had been reviewed, when i came back 4 days later to pick up any items they wouldn't accept they said they still hadn't went through the items yet. Then i called another 4 days later to get the status on the items they told me they accepted 4 items and donated the rest? not sure why they said i could pick up my remaining items and then just donated them without even calling me. extremely disappointed in this and i would avoid consigning here. read more

I took in 10 items to sell, most new with tags. They sold 4, 4 other items were marked unavailable, guessing they were sold, but I didn't receive any payment for them and 2 items still there. When I asked about the missing items, I was told my options were to say thank you or donate to goodwill. So, basically, don't know what happened to items and they apparently don't care. read more

I purchased a jacket and it had stains on it. I asked if I could get a discount if I could wash it and see if the stains would come out. They said no but I could return it if the stains didn't come out. I purchased the jacket and washed it. The stains did not come out. When I returned it I wasn't informed I had to get store credit instead of a refund. I also told the women at the counter that the jacket had a broken zipper and it had many stains that did not come out. The next week I went back to use my store credit and saw the jacket again on the rack at the same price! The tag also did not indicate "as is" or that the zipper was broken. Are you that desperate for sales that you have to resell it again with stains and a broken zipper? That's just wrong. I should have received a refund and not waisted my time or money. You also should have been clear about bringing it back and not getting a refund. Everything is over priced. Very shady way of doing business. read more

I was told to come in 1 week before the expiration date of my consignments if I wanted to retrieve any item. I went 8 days before and was told all my remaining items had been donated. When I questioned that, I was told it was in the contract. The contract says the items will be their property as of expiration date and they can mark down items "give or take a week" without notification but no where does it state they can donate it before the expiration date!!After submitting my consignments, I realized 2 of the framed art I took there were worth about $100 a piece. As stated, I went there 8 days before the expiration date and they were not sold but "donated". Of course I'm suspicious of the donation and being told it was in the contract ! read more

I have found many home items at the Broadway location. A few clothing items. Once I found Christian Loubotin black pumps in my size - brand-new condition (once in a lifetime luck). The two stars is because of the staff. It's hit-or-miss. Most often, miss. No one seems to be happy there. I've had better employee interaction experiences at the back when dropping off consignments. After standing in line (with no one in front of me) and being ignored for 20 minutes with items in my hands...I also had an approved appointment to bring in furniture before the usual noon consignment hours, but was greeted by a very rude person who wanted to know the name of the person that I spoke to. She asked her associate to help me (who was very nice and accommodating). I really got a bad feeling about leaving my things there. I was there longer than necessary and treated like a charity case. You may find something you like. There's a lot of stuff to look through to find something good. I consigned here a few years ago. I make more at other consignment stores. At Turnstyle I Earned about $12. Most of my stuff I NEVER saw in the store shortly after consigning. Some things they were going to put on the floor "late summer"...I never saw those items again. Staff is not really friendly. High turnover it seems. The lady taking things in is firing orders to the would-be consignors. Don't put it there. I have no room for you. If you out it there I will have to ask you to move it again. No room to put their items. Geez! It's a big store. Pull it together and make it easier for consignors to come bring their stuff! The store would not exist if not for the consignors and their goods. A lot of consignment shops seem to forget this. I can say that this review is more about the process of consigning when it comes to customer service and communication, which is extremely poor and a general lack of common sense. Let me explain. I tried to consign a watch that was in the $300 to $400 dollar range that was an automatic and in good working order. I thought if I could get maybe $100 to $150 from it selling that would be good. I know that they cannot sell items priced from sold items on eBay so I was not expecting a kings ransom but a good amount. AND I had a GREAT experience previously selling a GUCCI watch with them so that was why I trusted them for this watch as well. I was TOTALLY wrong. I turned in my clothing and my watch (with a nice case) for consignment thinking that everything was good to go. I waited a few months before contacting them to see what had sold and when I had asked about the watch they said that they did not have the watch in their system. The girl I talked to on the phone mentioned that she remembered the watch and said that it was not working and needed a battery so the watch was DONATED AWAY. I went into the store to talk to the supervisor, showing her my receipt from when I dropped off my items that had a mark in the accessories section showing that they took possession of my watch. She was cordial and took my information and said that she would investigate the situation. I received a call today where she informed me that the watch was looked over and said that when it was reviewed that the "bezel was not working" or some other disorder with the watch so it was confirmed to be given away and that there was nothing they could do for me. Wow. Saying all this, I read the fine print on the back of their receipt when dropping off anything that states essentially that once you drop off your clothing or anything that it is essentially theirs and if is lost or something happens to it you are out of luck. And that there will be no communication whatsoever. The issue is that I would think there would be a level of COMMON SENSE to contact me and let me know that my watch, which was not a cheap item, (that they all agreed upon in speaking with all employees) had an issue and let me know to come and pick it up and not just throw it away. Or tell me when I wanted to consign the watch that the person who does the jewelry review was not there and I needed to come back, which I would have done. I am not trying to be mean or vindictive, but I do not want others to fall victim to their incompetent business model and processes. So...DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE. THEY DO NOT HAVE A RELIABLE SYSTEM OF CONSIGNMENT THAT HONORS THE CUSTOMER. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE AGAIN AND WILL WARN ALL MY FRIENDS TO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. This place has great items to shop. However, if you are a customer otherwise-consigning or wanting to come pick up your check, or need to speak with them on the phone, they are rude rude rude. Today was the 4th time I've had a customer service issue here in the past couple of years, and the last. I will be shopping and consigning elsewhere simply because the employees here could not care less about their customers or the service they provide. Consigners beware. Pros - they have a lot of great merchandise. I've found a few hidden treasures there and will definitely keep checking in to se what new finds there are to be had. Cons - while it should be straightforward, the consignment process is unnecessarily confusing. Part of it could be that they're short staffed (as a lot of places are these days.) I took a dozen or so items in and a few sold - great. But they literally can't tell me what happened to two of them. I got there the day on the Expired Date - this is listed on their 'contract' that I signed as 'Last day consigner owns the item.' But girl at front told me I actually needed to be there a week before the Expired date. (Um - what?) One was a sweater that I bought at a local boutique and literally wore only once - so it didn't have stains, wasn't damaged or anything. High quality but I had lost weight and was drowning in it. Another was a pair of evening shoes that had probably been worn maybe 4 or 5 times (so again, couldn't be defective.) Just beware... my 2¢ based on my experience. read more

I have to say if I have the time to hang up enough stuff and figure out the complex geometry of the hours and amount I am allowed to bring in then I do cash in. Just let it ride and show up a year later and I have a check. But every time it's like they are trying to deter people from bringing them items to make money off of. This has become such an unwelcoming place for consigners. When bringing in items, the women receiving the items rarely greet you. Some won't even make eye contact. If unpleasant people are your cup of tea, you will find a strong pot of it here. This store's livelihood depends on the inventory people are walking thru the door. Perhaps they could change how they get their merchandise if it is too unpleasant for their gentile sensibilities. It must take a great deal effort to be so consistently unpleasant. read more

I have always had a hard time consigning here. They are a over priced, and therefore not selling / turning over product quickly. The consignment hours are never accurate. ie, they give consignment hours 10am - 5:30pm, but if you show up at 5:05, they will not take you. Saturdays are by appt only, which is silly. Even when they are not busy with consignments on Saturday, they make no exception ever . Kinda rude about it too, like they don't want to accept consignments. Since that is the main part of their business, might want to work on getting that right and offering a good experience to consigners. read more

If I could give this a consignment shop 0 stars I would. When you go to bring items into them, they do not itemize what you're bringing nor are pictures taken. I brought in a Gucci purse, Lululemon yoga pants and another name brand items. I went back into the store before 60 days when they mark the items down (they donate after 90) to see what was sold and still on the store to see what was still there. Out of 9 items, I found 1. Nothing is on the floor yet they're telling me my stuff has not been sold. This is a very unethical establishment and would not bring a single item to them nor would I shop there. Apparently it says somewhere in the contract that they're not responsible for items that are lost or damaged. Which means somebody's walking around with my Gucci purse I got zero dollars for. read more

I actually bought this furniture piece set from this consignment shop for less than $100.00 two years ago in 2018 and still use it to this day. The entire set has lasted me since purchasing it and it goes well with my silver walls and shabby chic themed living room. I think it's very beautiful. I also didn't lose an arm and a leg buying it. The service was wonderful and also I enjoyed the old fashioned taste of the consignment shop. I totally felt that it was the 80's again. Very classy and super exciting interaction! read more

This week I was at the Turnstyle at 151 W. Mineral Ave. An elderly lady was there to consign shirts from her recently deceased husband. The name of the employee behind the counter was Crista. I say with all honesty that I have NEVER EVER seen such a display of rudeness in my life. Crista badgered the woman, berated her, insulted her and was condescending to her. Crista's behavior was that of a Pit Bull's full-on attack. When I left the store, the woman was leaning against her car, crying and said "It's hard enough to let go of my deceased husband's clothing, let alone to be treated more poorly than I have ever been in my lifetime." When I went to Yelp to post this review, I read other reviews and Crista's name came up several times. HEADS UP to the manager of Turnstyle!!!!!!......get rid of angry, rude, vengeful Crista and hire someone who is a decent human being, has manners and cares about customer service. Liz H. Twice I CALLED IN ADVANCE to be sure that I could bring my clothes and accessories and that someone would be there to process my stuff. BOTH times after taking the time to put my quality items on hangers, drive there, lug stuff in, I was told we aren't taking clothes today. When I said that was not acceptable, the little blonde 'so-called Manager' said I could go somewhere else! Not a good business model. I will never go back to consign or buy anything. I spend about $200 a month here. I also consign with them. There are 2 workers who are very very nice But there are two women there who are abrasive, rude, aggressive, condescending and act like they are doing us consigners a favor. I was treated horribly today. I plan on retrieving my consignments from them and never returning to their business after today. They cannot stay in business with such attitudes. When I previously read such their bad reviews I could not understand such low reviews because I was always treated very nice. Until today. I bet they were treated poorly by the same two women who were rude to me. I returned a day later and retrieved some items. The middle aged lady with low pony tail at the desk again treated me like I am stupid. I asked when my things expired. She curtly told me to check my receipt. The manager CRYSTAL is a nasty woman, doesn't like men and will try and over talk you no matter what you have to say. I finally had to get loud and tell her to stop talking and let me get a word in sideways. She just kept repeating READ YOUR CONTRACT, devoid of ANY kind of manners. I think she thought I was her husband. I had brought a few items in over time and started noticing that I wasn't getting paid. I asked her when the antique jade plate and salt and pepper shaker had sold. She barked at me and told me that they were donated to Goodwill and how I need to read my contract. I asked her where the rest of my items are, she said "how should I know, go look for them. REALLY, REALLY!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS AT THIS STORE, THEY WILL CHEAT YOU AND LIE. I'm not some kid I'm 65 and don't take kindly to being insulted in front other customers, and berated and lied to. ANYONE LOOKING TO CONSIGN ANYTHING SHOULD NOT GO HERE. They also don't seem to accept any of my trendier, good quality consignment items that I take to them. This rating is for consignment. Brought in 2 purses and 2 pairs of shoes to consign. One designer purse sold for $7 and the other I was told, reached the end date and was donated. I found that purse still on on the sale wall listed at $38. The two pairs of brand new - in box - shoes were not recorded as sold and were unable to be located by myself on the floor or by manager Krista. To make it right, I was credited for these shoes as if they had sold. This store seems to have a loosely organized consignment merchandise tracking system so IF you consign here and are counting on being paid - beware. read more

I have both consigned and purchased items from Turn Style consignment. I have always experienced friendly store associates when I make purchases but I have experienced varied responses when I attempt to consign. The staff seem stressed and at times take it out on the customer. There isn't consistency in their practices which has led to me being unnecessarily scolded for not following a protocol that they themselves do not always follow. This last visit was the worst of them all amd I will not consign there again because of it. read more

I've been consigning item at both Denver area locations for a couple of years now. The staff had always been friendly and respectful. There have been times when they were short staffed, or swamped with impatient, demanding customers and I've had to wait for them to go through what I brought in. That's not a problem for me. It's not hard to see when they're busy. I can just leave my stuff, go get lunch, and come back. I've seen some reviewers complain about their policy that clothes need to be on hangars. That's not unreasonable. Busy staff members can go through them quickly and don't have to dig through boxes. I suspect that the people who complain about that would also complain if the staff didn't make time in their busy schedule to carefully re-fold and re-box what they couldn't take. It's a great place to consign and to shop. Because they're a bit picky about what they take, the store always has interesting merchandise. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Turn Style Consignment accepted 40 items of mine back in November. Initially they told me they typically only accept 30 items but they loved my jeans, so they took extra items. When I called to ask about my money they told me they owe me $11. I went into the store to ask how that's possible and I was told they only see FOUR items on my account. They told me there must be a mix up with my account. They told me maybe they spelled my name wrong in their computer. They told me they believe me, but they don't know how to help me locate my missing account and items. This place basically stole all of my clothes. Please don't support this place. read more
