Apparently the job description given to him was to walk around the store, talk to no one, ignore people and wait for your shift to end. I feel for managers having to hire these unambitious, uninspired people who really accomplish nothing during their day..the cashier? He was a real charmer also. No greeting, no eye contact...he simply did the very least he could and rang us up, told us our total and let us walk off without a single word...this country is in trouble...one person said they were "COVID" kids and I said hooey..they have a conscious..

The crowd is a mix of all walks of life so that keeps spicy as well as their stellar 50% off most tags sale on Saturday. I recently found UGG, Lululemon, J Crew and Athleta, call me a happy gal and send me on my way! The parking lot sucks but the redeeming quality is that they have a taco truck parked there a number of days during the week for breakfast and lunch, plus a Starbucks in the same center as well. Thrift store shopping, taco truck and coffee? That is my Holy Trinity.

Our baby was born small at 4lb 11oz and required triple feeding in the early days. We were exhausted and Wendy was so unbelievably helpful. Incredibly professional, caring, thoughtful and taught us SO MUCH. Even though it was our 3rd baby we learned about baby sleep from Wendy and honestly changed our whole lives because we were able to put our baby to sleep on her own and have our own sleep and time back in the evenings. Wendy did such an amazing job cleaning all the bottles and pump supplies too. Very thorough with her notetaking and never overstepped. She'd always offer advice but in that helpful kind non judgemental way that made me feel supported. We even hired Wendy ad hoc a few times after our initial night nanny stint to help with all 3 children primarily because we trusted her so much and knew our kids were in excellent hands. I would hire her again in a heartbeat and I recommend her to everyone I know seeking a night nanny.

Sigh, Second Chance used to be my number one when I was in the Evergreen/Conifer/Pine area. They always had deals, friendly staff and treasures galore. But oh how the turntables have turned.....no more. They had a new manager come in and I think she thinks she's running a tight and efficient ship but I don't agree. She has limited the number of bags you can donate and in turn, the quality of the items of the store have gone down. I wish they would have more signs about prices and/or deals of the day where you can see them and that the Mens section wasn't on a completely different level (very tucked away) than the Womens. There's different associates working/volunteering there but it doesn't appear that new manager trusts anyone with checking people out when they want to pay. Thrift stores are usually a happy place for me and Second Chance gave me a case of the sads this past time I visited.

I do a lot of shopping at Goodwill but I prefer to donate my clothes to organizations like Clothes To Kids of Denver. I called them up and asked what kind of clothes they accepted. Note: they take all season clothes, shoes, hats, and accessories. That was great news because I had all of those things to donate including a few purses and a couple of bags. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They were deep into a major reorganization of all of the clothing donations which was massive! Denver: take your gently used clothing to Clothes To Kids it will go a long way to helping kids, teens, and adults get back on their feet.
