Turnstyle -- C'mon, it's 2025. Your whole business relies on consignors, but your consignment process feels like it's still rocking a flip phone. Here's a thought: maybe invest in a waitlist system that texts people when a rack is ready, instead of holding us hostage for an hour (or two) while we awkwardly pretend to shop things we just dropped off. Also -- not a chair in sight. Not one. You'd think a store that relies on people waiting longer than the lines at Disney, youwould have at least a bench, a stool, maybe a fainting couch for dramatic effect? Standing here, I can see about a hundred ways this could run smoother. Love the concept, but the execution? Needs a 21st-century upgrade read more

On the positive side, they have a great inventory of a wide variety of clothing, shoes, accessories and household. I've purchased clothing and bedding and purses. On the negative side, on 2 separate occasions, 2 different days during the winter of 2025-2026, I was treated so indifferently and rudely that I thought I might be on the tv show, "what would you do?" I had 2 employees flirtive glance toward me, so they knew I was there, while I was looking in the case and obviously wanted to see items in the case; both employees had a funeral-like expression, did not even give me eye contact, and walked away, far away, to the back of the store, and after I called out, "miss?" "miss?" they continued walking away. I was in shock, so I turned around and left the store, certain that I would not return. It's unfortunate to see the lack of proper friendly customer interaction and service because I've been a customer for many years, including a consignor in the Arizona locations, and in my humble opinion, the service keeps declining over the years. read more

DO NOT CONSIGN HERE! They not only mark your items on the extremely low end, but also make you find your unsold items in a sea of merchandise. Essentially they steal your items if you can't find them. I searched every rack for my item and was totally blown off by the staff and had to leave without my merchandise. I brought stuff I had no interest in attempting to sell on my own, Fluevog shoes that I brought in are now being loved more than I did. I get how it works and I have no issue letting this stuff go. I find everyone there to be very nice and accommodating. On a busy day, they checked my 4 items out quickly and I got a good amount of money for them. I am taking stuff to them almost weekly. I highly recommend them as long as you understand how it works. read more

If you're looking for a wide selection of clothes, this place has it all. Seriously, their selection is hugeeee. Lots of trinkets, clothes, shoes... They really have everything. The style is clearly focused on more "high quality" brands and clothes, which means even though it's second hand, it is still fairly expensive in the thrift-world. Everything I looked at was $20+, which wasn't exactly what I was going for. I was hoping to find options in more so the $5-15 range, so this wasn't exactly my place. But lots of luxury vintage-type options. I think I'll need to come back another time and look closer, since my visit was pretty quick! They just had a lot to go through, so I didn't do too good of a job of looking. read more

This was my first time consigning and will probably not do it again. Pros: people were generally helpful with my questions they did call and let me know they were going to raise the price on a pair of my consigned sandals they would printout my account information when asked my closet got cleaned out:) Cons: The process was a bit confusing and out of my control. For those that don't know, you take them your items and then they decide what they will keep. They don't tell you what they will price things. And, once they do price it, the actual tag on the item in the store is different than the price quoted on your printout. They keep not only a percent of the item's sale but also a "fee" for each item sold. I went through the store on 5 different occasions trying to find two of my items, the two highest priced items, and never saw them. When I asked for help locating them and NOT wanting them on the half price sale, they had no answer on how to get those two items. It was my responsibility to find them in the store...but they weren't there. One was even a vintage designer purse that two different employees said should have been in the case in the front of the store or behind the counter, with a security tag. One person showed me the "agreement" that they are not responsible for the items...and I was told they could have been stolen. (Interesting to have something stolen from behind a counter or with a security tag). My Opinion: Take anything there that you are happy to part with and will get anything amount of money for. It was a great way for me to finally get some things out of my closet. BUT, if you have anything of real value or want a certain price for your items...this may not be your place. read more

I love the store but the service is disgraceful. After buying two stacks of items, I was shamed by the cashier for needing a plastic bag. She then went on to preach about the wasteful ways of Americans and admitted she purposely avoids offering bags. Weirdest shopping experience ever. read more

Brought 35 items for consignment and the gal was very nice and explain the whole process to me the store was packed with wonderful items a great selection and their furniture and collectibles were fantastic. Not to mention jewelry and handbags I was very surprised at the selection and good pricing. pros: good selection of gently used home goods, clothes and accessories. cons: you have to watch the sales dates, and they are not advertised beforehand in the Edina store. I bought a leather chair and ottoman for $265 on Tuesday. When I came into the store the following day I noticed that they were announcing a 30% off sale. When I asked the staff if I could have the 30% off, I was frostily informed, "We don't do price adjustments." Another disappointment of shopping at the Edina Turnstyle Consignment store is that they leave furniture on the floor after it sold. I had to chase a customer off the chair and ottoman I had bought and paid full price for. Two strikes. read more

This place is super organized, which as a librarian I love! I can look for green long sleeved size medium shirts, for example, and not have to wade through other colors. I have bought pants here, coats, shirts, sweaters, scarves. North Face, Chico's, nothing terribly designer except in the small designer section. The employees are neither overly friendly nor overly cranky. I have never consigned something here and I don't typically look on the "home" side. The dressing rooms have nice mirrors and adequate places to hang clothes and a nearby rack for things you don't want which is constantly cleared. The prices are neither terribly high nor terribly low and they typically have sales around holidays. read more

Like with any consignment shop, it is always hit or miss. But I always find something from shoes, purses, home goods or clothing. I love the treasure hunt through the variety of clothing styles and shoes. Staff is nice considering how busy they are. I visited this store on Dec 4. I found a few things to buy and went to check out. At the checkout, I had a question that the cashier could not answer, so I asked if she could call a manager up that I could ask instead. She said, "Sure", and went to the back. A few minutes later she was back with a tall, slim, young woman with dark hair (I think her name was Maddie) who asked what I wanted. I asked her my question after which she felt arguing with the customer was the best way to proceed. While I tried to clarify the situation, she abruptly spun around and walked off. I said, "We're not done here", and she just continued to walk away. It is obvious to me that no customer service training exists at this store. If Maddie worked for me, she'd be fired. read more

When shopping - this is a decent store. When consigning - ALWAYS call the store to confirm consigning hours before heading over. Despite the advertised consignment hours, this store is notorious for shutting down hours before the time stated in their communications and on their website. read more

I definitely wouldn't rate this place a one star, but I cannot give it more than two. They have a wide selection of goods for reasonable prices (I noticed that they tend to separate the "designer" goods away from standard good)s. This store is combined with the home goods store (in one location), which I personally don't like because it limits the amount of products for the home. I stopped in to look through home goods and today they had a great selection of products, but nothing that caught my eye. Everything was priced well for being on the outskirts of Edina, but I'm sure they have some over priced goods. The employees were "rude." They never say hello or ask if you need help; when you do ask a question, they tend to have an attitude (I get that you may be having a bad day or want to leave, but being rude gets you no where!). I left with nothing and probably won't return, unless I'm with someone who wants to stop in. read more

Ugh. They have a sign at the front of the store saying they "prefer" customers wear masks - we have an ordinance "requiring" masks in Edina, Turnstyle.... Also, their employee use of masks was spotty at best. Saw one woman with red hair working in the consignment area today who had it dangling from one ear for the entire 20 minutes I shopped and another with wavy long blond hair checking people out who wore it under her nose. I have been coming to this location habitually for the last 4 years. I do mean habitually. 2 times a week. Over the coarse of time I have seen management changes and the store expansion. Home Items: Previous times I felt as if I could walk in and find at least something to buy. Over the last 6 months I think it has been really dwindling though. I tend to see so much more newer junk items, rather that some of the neater old items we remember our parents having. So it has left me empty handed many times now. Sure, maybe few people bring that stuff in lately? Jewelry items: I used to get a lot of nicer quality items, but this has also been really mute lately. They don't seem to update this as often, in fact it seems like any newer consignment items have not been put out in a while. I do love this place though. Some of the staff are friendly, while some kind of seem like they have an attitude. Sorry for my lack of commenting on clothing- I don't normally buy clothes at these stores. :) read more

I never write bad reviews, this is actually my first one. I'm not aiming to get anyone in trouble, just thought this should be known by the staff to help avoid this in the future. I brought clothes in the other day to consign, waited about an hour and when they got to my clothes I heard the woman say to her coworker, "These are all bad." I understand if we don't have the same fashion preferences and she has the right to her opinion. It made me feel really insulted though and it made me feel like I never wanted to go back. I've been in the service industry for a long time and understand that we all have opinions, but please be more professional in the future. Having a client hear you insulting them is not a good way to get repeat business. read more

This store doesn't deserve even a one star rating!! The staff sold a couch set I rightfully had on hold to another person at closing after I left the store just ONE HOUR BEFORE CLOSING. The set had been tagged with my name and the staff person assured me that it wouldn't be a problem picking it up the next day. When I returned the next day, staff were UNAPOLOGETIC and were unwilling to show the least remorse for wasting my time or being in the WRONG!! I've purchased many items including furnishings in the past. However, after this incident I will never patronize this store again! Totally disgusted! read more

Went to Turnstyle on 66th today, they were selling a pair of jeans from Target used for more than a new pair.

So, AMAZING selection of clothes, accessories, home stuff. Really fair prices across the board. Always impressed with how many great tops and pants they have in sizes M and L. And currently they have a ton of outerwear - both dressy and athletic. I get almost all of my clothes here. Two stars because I am never quite prepared for how rude and slow the staff is. Today, I had the misfortune of having a certain cashier...she's young and will hopefully develop a work ethic at some point so I won't call her out online. I the time it took her to ring me out, her coworker rang out 8 customers. It was painful and at no point did she say anything within the realm of hello or thank you. Just a shame. read more

Even though this is my first time consigning at this store...I will not return. I brought in four items and thought they would sell, as they were new and designer, with the labels attached. Three of the four were "lost", and therefore, I would suffer the loss. Not what I was hoping for when I entered the store two months ago. I was able to see the prices they had placed on my shirts and noticed what they had called a "flannel" was actually a french-cuffed cashmere dress shirt. Would have been a figurative steal at ten dollars, then it was literally stolen. Perhaps it was stolen by one who thought it deserved better than to be called flannel. They are pretty pricey, in my opinion, but the reason I gave TWO stars is due to the inappropriate remark from one of the staff members I received when asking for assistance on behalf of another customer, who had trouble communicating clearly..."No," she replied to my request. She then proceeded to help after all, but I was very offended by her snippy attitude. I suggest that the management review with staff how to deal in a positive way with their customers, even if they don't feel like it. If the merchandise wasn't as nice quality as it generally is, I would have given it a rating of ONE, thanks to that young woman. read more

At its best 1 star... such a horrible experience consigning my clothes. Made an appointment to bring in my clothes and then was told I would have to wait 30 minutes past my appointment. My nice, Good brand name clothes I got 2.50 for a Free People top......and I now need to drive down to their store to pick up my check...not worth the gas to go get it. Horrible customer service in the cosigning department, no one has time to hang all there clothes before bringing them in. After an hour I returned and she told me they are in the bin or on the rack not knowing that they passed on my my stuff. But really it mostly her attitude. Put a fake smile on next time! Customer service is very poor. Staff are stressed and not kind about taking items. They are also not staffed to handle walk-ins like they advertised. Have been asked to come back twice because they were short staffed. It takes a great deal of effort to work with them, and for little return and respect. I used to work at a consignment shop for a high-school job, so I feel that I offer a well-rounded opinion from both sides of the counter. Bottom line: the only reason I continue to shop at this Southdale Turnstyle is that the affluent residents of the Edina area bring in some great custom and vintage decor and furniture. As for the customer service, it is always either laughable or maddening. I felt compelled to finally write after my experience yesterday. There were 9 customers in line at the front counter waiting to check out, while several employees, including the manager, were openly eating lunch on the floor near the back counter, and gossiping with each other. Finally, some seniors started grumbling aloud and a lunch-eater from the back, with food in her mouth, called for an "associate" (if you could call them that) to the front. I was about 6th in line, yet the associate asked me to go ahead with my purchase. Because I respect the elderly, I loudly asked if anyone who was waiting longer would like to go ahead of me. He ignored the elderly lady who slowly moved over to my line to be checked out, presumably because she was moving too slowly, and pushed me ahead. Then at the same time said he couldn't open the drawer without assistance. When the older woman spoke up that she had been waiting 7 minutes, he mentioned she should have come over sooner. How it was a customer who offered the proper customer service, and not the associate, is beyond me. Not to mention they are usually totally rude or overly picky with what they will take, clothing or housewares, even though brand new with tags on. I originally started consigning at this Southdale store, where they took very little to nothing, often with pithy rude comments on how your stuff (though designer or brand new) was not good enough for their store. I stopped consigning here and now choose the Roseville store instead, as they take mostly everything and greet my mother and I by name and thank us for our business. I have additionally had discrepancies with the early check amounts I was receiving back- they didn't match what I was told over the phone what I had sold. Nor did my sales check match the number of items Listed on the paper copy I had received. Something is rotten In Edina, and money can't buy them class. Or customer service. read more

I asked a question about the process of getting a check once my items have sold. The blonde angry sales associate, replied back with some snotty, rude, loud comment. If I could give Turn Style in Richfield/Edina zero stars, I would. This place is absolutely horrible! I have been bringing my consignment items to NuLook Consignment in SW Minneapolis for 15 years. Today, after NuLook took 30 items I brought in, I thought I would give Turn Style a try with the remaining items that NuLook didn't take. I left my items there because I didn't have 45 minutes to wait around for my turn to come (which I was initially fine with). When I returned several hours later, they had my bags sitting off to the side on the sales floor with one bag folded up inside the other. I thought, "Great, they took a bunch of stuff!" I found it odd though that they have no online system in place for you to see your items, what has sold, how much money you have in your account, etc. NuLook has a website where you see the item # and description of each item you have consigned, the selling prices they have on each item, the date they sell, and the amount they sell for. They then mail you your check if you can't come into the store to pick it up. Turn Style does none of this, which I find ridiculous considering they are a chain and NuLook is a single entity. When I got home and looked at the receipt, it said that they only took 4 items. I immediately called bullsh#t on that and called them immediately. I explained to the girl that answered the phone that there was no way they had only taken 4 items based on what I brought in and what they gave me back. She put me on hold for several minutes to go talk to the other girl that consigned my items. When she came back on the line, she told me that they figured out they had missed two items, but that was it. Um, how would you know if you missed two items without me there to tell you that they were mine??? I again told her that wasn't possible based on the number of items I brought in and what I had left. She then tried telling me my bags were small and the coat I had in one of them probably took up the entire bag. Nope, wrong again. My bags were the large reusable shopping bags that you can get at TJ Maxx and I'm pretty sure I know what items I had in my own bags. So basically, they thought taking advantage of the fact that I wasn't present during the consigning appointment and stealing from me would be fun. I could care less about the money that I would potentially make from the sale of my items. They can keep it if they're that hard up for cash. What I find the most pathetic is the blatant lies they told over and over again. Seriously, what a horribly unethical business. I will never set foot in this sorry excuse for a business again. If you need a great place to take your items that you want to consign, go to NuLook Consignment on 50th and Penn in SW Minneapolis! There's a good reason that they're consistently voted the best consignment shop in the metro area. They're fantastic! read more

I am really surprised for used items they are charging more than new items. It used to be reasonable store. I remembered when I go for search of my selective item was gone within a week. Now for months it's still there. I used to like this store before. Better to go to outlet malls. Get branded things and easy to return if not fit in our needs without store credits. read more
