Based on my experience, Turnbull seemed more focused on collecting its fees than making meaningful progress negotiating with my creditors. During that time, my accounts continued to accrue late fees and interest, and some eventually went to collections. Unfortunately, the outcome has resulted in a significant discrepancy that has negatively impacted my credit standing beyond initial expectations. The handling of the settlement by your attorneys has been unsatisfactory, primarily due to poor communication and an apparent oversight in the final settlement amount. The discrepancy lies in the fact that the account, initially totaling $10,080, was settled for $10,000, a difference of $80. Furthermore, the imposition of $3,500 in settlement fees has added further confusion and frustration to this matter. I am still in a program with Turnbull. However today I am questioning what is going on. They helped me resolve three accounts so far and to my knowledge two are currently being paid off. I was being sued by discover and they reached a settlement for slightly under what I owed which is fine. I signed the paperwork sent to me by the firm suing me and there was a letter that said the settlement was contingent on my filing a notice to appear. I don't really know what that is so I sent it to the lawyer in charge of my case. He told me I didn't have to worry about it now. I never heard another word about it. This was back in June. The payments had been coming out of my account pursuant to the agreement so o figured everything was fine. Today I got a packet from the firm suing me saying they filed a failure to appear. Now I'm in danger of having that settlement be void!!! Of course this happened on a holiday so I'm not able to get ahold of anyone other than sending messages on the dashboard and emails to anyone's email I could find. I even emailed the suing firm trying to explain that I was not advised properly and I'm praying they will take into account that I've been paying them as agreed upon. read more

It gave us some piece of mind to have someone else doing the heavy lifting of this. Debt is scary and working with Turnbull helped to make it a bit less so. The customer service department was incredibly helpful and they were able to work with me to get the monthly payment that we were giving to Turnbull lowered once we were about halfway through our time. Once we finished, the turn around for ending our monthly payments and sending our graduation packet with documentation for getting items off our credit report. i got sued by creditor for non payments on their end. i tried contacting them and they could not get hold of a lawyer to contact me. So the creditor started taking money out of my checks while Turbull still took out monthly. Tried multiple times contacting their lawyers and no luck. read more

They negotiated 1 of my card accounts for $2200 and to pay $612 a month over 11 months which is crazy to begin with just to close that account. I would end up paying $6700 to close that account. Misleading, your accounts sit with late fees building up, then Turnbull's settlement fees on top of that, but, top it off with receiving 1099's for the amounts that look like you saved money that you have to add to your taxes at the end of the year. Turnbull shows that you saved more money than you actually did by showing the amount you submitted originally, not all the late fees that were added on or their fees or the taxes it cost you by adding that to your income. Cost me so much more overall and was making payments for 48 months. Worst thing I ever did plus the fact that it flushed my credit score down the toilet. read more

I wouldn't recommend using this service unless you are super desperate and just can't deal with speaking to your debtors yourself. I was in quite the hole and owed $31305 before entering the program. Any "deals" the got me, I could have gotten myself by closing my accounts and contacting my debtors for a reduced payment plan (Which is what they did for me). My credit score dropped over 100 points as they "negotiated" which was actually just waiting for my payments to them to add up. Though they said they got me some deals by cutting some of my debts in half, but their fees just about evened everything out. I ended up paying Turnbull $30961, so even though I may had paid less to my debtors, the money just went to Turnbull instead. All said and done, I saved less than $400 on $31k debt and took a HUGE hit to my credit score. And I think if I had talked to my creditors faster than Turnbull did, I could have gotten even better deals and then not paid the Turnbull fees. Once I stopped making payments, I even received offers from a few of my credit cards to settle that were better than what Turnbull eventually got me, but once you're locked in with Turnbull, you're not allowed to accept offers from your creditors And Turnbull seemed super slow to act whenever I sent them in these offers. For me, while I'm glad I finally got rid of this debt, paying Turnbull basically the same amount as I would have paid my creditors and taking such a huge hit to my credit score was definitely not worth it and I wish I could go back and not have taken this route. read more

If I could leave a negative star I would. I've paid $17,000 to these people over the course of 18 months and they haven't paid off any of my debts. They absorbed my money into their "fees". So when I called to cancel all of my funds in my dedicated account was used for their fees.
