I called Budget Blinds to install a set of blinds in a window that is not easily accessible. When…read moreTory came out to provide the quote he told me about the motorized blinds with a lithium battery he assured would last 6-9 months with normal use. These blinds with installations cost me $890 for one window, keep in mind. They came a few weeks later and installed. I charged the battery and thought they were excellent. Two weeks later the battery was dead. So after 3-4 months of charging every couple of weeks I finally called Tory at Budget Blinds to let him know they weren't working as described. He reordered a new battery, same thing happened. Called again, then he replaced the blinds. Same thing happened, battery would only stay charged for 2 weeks. I contacted him again and said the blinds are just not working as described and I was extremely disappointed and wanted to change to regular manual set of blinds. Several weeks went by, I had to reach out again. Email was the trick and only way they will communicate now. He finally got back to me and agreed to replace and refund for the difference. Well, I finally got a refund check after having to follow up with him 2 more times. It arrived this morning in the mail in the amount of $250. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?! A $250 refund for blinds that cost about $40 at the home stores. Not to mention the lack of communication and customer service!!! You're basically saying my basic manual blinds cost me $640 and no customer service. This is very upsetting, frustrating, and disappointing after several other customers of Budget Blinds in the past recommended them. This ordeal has been from September 2021 to July 2022 of a pain in my you know what and a set of basic blinds for $640. I want to warn any one looking at Budget Blinds to think twice and find someone else before calling them.

I chose Charles "Chuck" Tucker d/b/a Handymation LLC to install interior doors and closet doors…read morebecause of his excellent reviews. Sadly, Chuck's work and his subcontractor, Jose's work from Johnstown, Colorado, was shoddy and incomplete. Chuck messed up the paint and gashed the wood on some of the door jams he installed, and the trim around the doors that Jose installed has wide gaps, sloppy caulking, and the linoleum was not put back in place afterwards. When Chuck and Jose removed the old closet doors, they gashed the trim and paint, and they never installed the set of new closet doors. I called Chuck and he promised he would have Liz come fix everything and that he was really tired the day he installed the door jambs. I left a review on Google for Handymation, and they replied that they did not do the work I was referring to in my and to take it down, which I did so I could make sure I was reviewing the correct company. After reviewing my correspondence with Chuck and Handymation's website, I found that I did leave a request on their website on May 27th, and Chuck came out the next day to give me an estimate. So, I called them and spoke to Elizabeth, to ask why Handymation is trying to say they never did any work for me and she said that they did receive my request and Chuck is the estimator for Handymation, but he referred my work to subcontractors, and they can't refund me for incomplete work and damages because they subcontracted it out. I did, however, pay Chuck, not the subcontractors, because the bulk of work was done and Chuck promised Liz would be out to fix the damages and install the closet doors. When I spoke to Elizabeth (who is probably Liz) she said she was sorry she couldn't give me a better answer but she was not involved with my project and she just works the front desk. She also told me that Chuck is her boss and she will have him call me. The work took place in May and June. Here it is August, and I highly doubt I'll get any resolution from Handymation or Charles Tucker, but I am pretty sure Chuck will leave a reply to this review trying to intimidate me and denying any responsibility.​
