And be expected to pay for an additional appointment even if you go in for a routine physical. Never in my life have I had to come back for an appointment to have my bloodwork given to me. It's always been mailed to me, however I was told I needed to come back for the bloodwork. Other than being a bit inconvenienced, I didn't question it until I received the $150 bill for a doctor visit. I don't have any life threatening diseases or terminal illnesses, so why? Do yourself a favor and find another doctor you'll be much happier.

Basically my advice is to take the good with the bad. Treat her with true respect and she will do the same for you. She is never going to be a hand-holder, so if you want sympathy, find someone else. Sometimes the truth hurts. She is No-Nonsense and Very Direct. I never found her to be uncaring, just a little awkward around emotional people. Cry because your foot hurts and she's ok. Cry because your heart hurts and she will find a way to get out of the room. If she is mistaken--don't accuse her of being wrong--Let another doctor tell her that. Suggest that you think there is a misunderstanding and start over by stating your illness and what you think you need. If that doesn't work, ask for a referral to a specialist that handles your particular problems. She was absolutely wrong about one of my problems so I had to go to an emergency wound care clinic. The wound care director called her from my cell phone and told her exactly what was going on and what she should do, then handed the phone to me. She apologized honestly and took care of business as she had been instructed. I live in California now and wish I could find a doctor as genuine as she is. I'd rather have mean and honest over coddling and disingenuous any day.

The literally did not come within 10 feet of me. I caught her just in time to ask her to PLEASE check my sinuses as I had ZERO symptoms of a cold. When she FINALLY agreed to look she said "Oh no, I don't know what that is, you need to see an ENT." Of course this was a Friday afternoon, by the time I lucked into an urgent appointment on Monday, I had a full blown very painful infection requiring massive antibiotics. I am done with this "Doctor." Please seek healthcare elsewhere.

Dr. Troncales is a geriatrician who is caring, thorough and knowledgeable. She is my mom's PCP. My…read moremom is hard of hearing and Dr. Troncales has been extremely patient with her. She frequently makes sure that she was able to address my mom's questions and concerns. My mom is a retired physician and although quiet during appointments, she usually tells me a lot after every appt. She has been nothing but satisfied with Dr. Troncales. She appreciates that she does not feel rushed. She is grateful that she has gotten established with a physician who is so passionate about helping the older population.

I'm here today for my annual exam and I'm over-hearing the nurses talking loudly about a notice coming through about a patient who is sick and in pain (stabbing burning pain). The message was apparently not clear to them and they apparently didn't know what to do with it, but the message was read out loud numerous times, at one point there was a lot of laughter about it even though the message was about a painful condition. I was shocked when one employee shouted out the patients name, or at least that's what it sounded like. I was in the waiting room and heard all this. Anyway, I'm glad it wasn't me they were talking about, and i hope they don't laugh at my messages like that, and holler out my name. Geez!!! I'm more than a little worried about it.

He never smiled, even upon first meeting me, and completely dismissed/discredited the treatment I was receiving from a specialist. He completely discounted my chronic Lyme Disease, although I have lab results to back up the diagnosis. When I mentioned a health concern, he said "you are chasing after things that don't exist"--implying I was a hypochondriac. After this disastrous first visit, I insisted upon switching away from him, and am very glad I did. A good friend, also assigned to him, has had similar bad experiences.

I didn't have to wait very long when I arrived which was great, and the nurse and staff were nice to me when taking vitals and such. But, I would recommend to double check you EOB from your insurance to make sure that they are not over charging you because of what happened in my situation. I had to go back 3 days later for a follow up to have my TB tests read. The front desk told me there is no co pay for that because it is not with the doctor. Got it. (I also called them to confirm this on the day of the follow up visit) Well, I get the EOB from my insurance and apparently the doctor billed me for his office visit ( I expected), the phone call (wth really), and the "office visit" with the nurse that took my vitals and printed me out a letter saying I was negative for TB. Billed my insurance for almost $1000. Quite extreme to me. I am currently working with CHI to dispute the phone and the 2nd office visit.
