Life threw us some curve balls and our plans to own a home got delayed a couple of years, but we maintained communication with Edite; and when we were ready to be first-time homeowners, she helped us through the process. Edite was always very diligent, professional, and responsive. She always made herself available to answer our concerns and to set up showings for us. She was also very honest, warm, and personable. Our property search portal was updated constantly with valuable information and she helped us in an efficient manner all the way down to closing day. She even got our baby boy a giant Teddy bear as a housewarming gift. We were definitely in awe and forever grateful for all the assistance throughout this process.

WARNING TO PROSPECTIVE RENTERS OF LONGMONT PROPERTY GROUP…read more This review concerns my family's experience renting 1303 S. Oak Court, Longmont, Colorado, a property managed by Longmont Property Group. Currently listed on Zillow. If you are considering renting this home or any property managed by Longmont Property Group - I strongly encourage you to do extensive research before signing a lease. My family's experience was one of the most stressful and heartbreaking experiences we've ever endured. If you are considering renting through Longmont Property Group, I strongly encourage you to do your homework before signing a lease. My experience with Andrea Lunzer and Longmont Property Group was one of the most stressful experiences my family has ever gone through. I trusted this company to treat my family fairly and objectively. Instead, I left feeling that documentation and evidence I provided disputing information from a previous landlord were not meaningfully considered before decisions were made that affected my family's housing. I have children, including a disabled son, and I repeatedly explained how devastating losing our home would be. During this process, I was told that Longmont Property Group was following the property owner's wishes. Regardless of who made the decision, my family was left trying to find housing on an extremely short timeline. One thing I found especially difficult was receiving emails expressing how "thankful" Longmont Property Group was to have had us as tenants and how much they had "enjoyed" having us as tenants, even after I asked that those comments stop. Reading those messages while my family was losing our home felt deeply upsetting and disconnected from what we were actually experiencing. I also urge prospective renters to carefully review every financial obligation before signing a lease. In my experience, the total cost of renting extended well beyond the advertised monthly rent because of additional deposits, fees, and other required charges. Make sure you understand every cost before committing. We lived in the home for less than two months and paid a **$4,800 security deposit**. As of the date of this review, I have not received my security deposit back, even though those funds are critically important for securing housing for my family. I also dispute charges for replacement keys and garage door openers. We left the keys and garage door openers on the kitchen counter when we vacated the property, and I have witnesses who can attest to that. Despite this, I was informed that I would be charged hundreds of dollars to replace them. I strongly disagree with those charges. My advice to anyone renting through Longmont Property Group: * Photograph and video every inch of the property before move-in and after move-out. * Save every email, text message, receipt, inspection report, and notice. * Get every agreement in writing. * Keep copies of absolutely everything. This review reflects my personal experience. I am organizing my emails, photographs, notices, inspection records, and other documentation into a complete timeline and will be sharing additional details supported by those records so prospective renters can review the facts for themselves. My family deserved fairness, professionalism, and a complete review of the evidence we provided. That was not our experience, and because of that, I cannot recommend renting through Longmont Property Group.

My last tenants brought in extra pets without approval, then claimed them to be Comfort animals and they destroyed the carpet among other things. LPG failed to inspect the house regularly and said once the Comfort animals were in the house there was nothing they could do. I spent well over $10K getting the house ready and LPG actually returned a portion of the security deposit. They charged me a carpet cleaning fee even though they knew the carpet had to be replaced!!! Stay Away, stay very far away.

I first decided to sell my home. However, after talking with several friends and associates, who had rented homes before selling, I became fairly certain I would rent the property for two years and then sell. My thought was that income from renting would help pay for renovations of the home before sale and for the expense of moving to my new location. If the property sold within three years after I first moved out, I would be protected from considerable capital gains taxes. With this in mind, I decided to work with an agent who could seamlessly switch from property management to seller's agent. During the several months, when I was updating and renovating the property, the real estate market fell into greater turmoil than it had already been in. Once again, I changed my mind and decided to just sell. After dickering somewhat extensively with one set of potential buyers, I finally told Dave that, if those potential buyers wanted a further concession of so much as one penny (I made it clear I MEANT exactly this), he should not tell me. All I wanted to hear from him in that case was, "The house is going back on the market. What we need to discuss is whether to put it back for sale or rent. Given these circumstances, it was likely clear to the buyer's agent that he (Dave) would lose nothing, if the house were rented and then later sold. The buyer's agent, however, would also know they would only get a commission if the house were sold. Dave Marvin's professional, knowledgeable, and cool head as well as his expertise as both a property manager and a selling agent made the experience of selling the house seamless. I highly recommend Dave Marvin of Marvin Gardens, Longmont, CO, as an agent for the selling, buying, or the renting of a property.
