I really can't say enough good things about Dave Marvin. My fiancee and I were first time home…read morebuyers and in this crazy market, I really don't think we would've been able to do it without Dave in our corner, I think we would've given up. If you are trying to buy or sell a house, Dave is your guy, full stop. Let me list all the reasons why: - Dave is a regular guy who works for YOU. I know every realtor says that, but with Dave, we really felt like we had found someone who had our best interests at heart. He is a good listener and takes the time to understand what you want and don't want, what excites you, and what causes you stress. You will never feel like you are being steered in a direction you do not want to go but you will always get his advice on what he thinks is the best course of action. He is dedicated, responsive, and available to get things done when you need them done. - Dave has DEEP roots in this community. He knows this market inside and out. He knows the neighborhoods, the market trends, many of the other brokers, and pretty much everything else about the area. He knows everyone who is anyone in the real estate, financing, home improvement, and rental industries in Boulder county and the surrounding areas. Dave has taken the stress out of finding professionals in every area and everyone he has recommended has been as exceptional as he is. He has built up a network of the best of the best in this part of the world and his customers reap the benefits. - He is supremely knowledgeable, ethical, and savvy. He has been in this industry for a long time and understands how to get things done in a strategic but always above board way. He is a also a great teacher. As new buyers, there were a lot of things we did not understand about the real estate system, and Dave was always able to explain the complicated inner workings to us in a relatable way. Dave was able to coach us through the craziness that is the housing market today and we were able to buy a home that we love at a price we wanted to pay. If you want the best outcomes in real estate with the lowest possible amount of stress, work with Dave. You won't regret it.

Among my concerns: * My stated screening requirements were not followed. * I was told that pre-screening before showings could not be accommodated. * After I terminated the relationship, Marvin Gardens continued to act as though it remained in effect, including continuing to schedule showings. * I dispute fees that Marvin Gardens claims are owed. * I have filed a complaint with the Colorado Division of Real Estate and have retained the underlying emails and supporting documents. Based on my experience, I would not hire Marvin Gardens again.

As a millennial, I've done my fair share of cohousing situations and I think that the way that they navigate roommate changes and repairs has been as seamless as possible. There's been a lot of odds and ends work that needed to be done on the property that I lived in and they were always prompt to send out a repair person within 24 hours of a request being sent. They would even follow up with us when we may have let a contractor slip through the cracks. I highly recommend them and all their staff has been nothing but courteous and kind. Claire was my specific point of contact and whatever they are paying her isn't enough for how hard that girl works. She doesn't miss a beat and always makes times for tenant questions or concerns. A rockstar employee for a great woman-owned company.

I've lived in this house for about a year now, and before any of the current situations were even a problem, there was a leak in my ceiling when I moved in and it took them weeks just to fix it before I could move into this place. I had to pay extra at my apartment complex because of that. there have been multiple broken items in this house that they refuse to fix like the dishwasher the fridge in the dryer because they claim they're still "technically functional". This most recent incident was a leak in the ceiling again that we noticed and put in a maintenance request for that took eight days to even be noticed and nobody did anything about to the point where we're at 11:50 PM three days ago there was an actively in my ceiling. It took the 24 hour emergency line 30 minutes to answer for them to tell me that nobody was showing up, but that they would put in a maintenance request in the morning. I had to call the plumbing company on my own to schedule someone to come in because they didn't do it. It is now taking 72 hours for a restoration company to come fix the hole in my ceiling because there has been a miscommunication between every single company that has tried to come out and fix this problem. they will not answer the phone. They will not relay any information and they are genuinely one of the most lazy awful companies I have ever dealt with. on top of all of this without any prior communication they waited until the very last last minute that they could to tell us about our termination of tenancy. You're supposed to give at least a 60 day notice and they waited until that last day of the 60 days with five minutes to spare on their business day and the cherry on top is that they literally taped it on our front door. There was no phone call. There was no email. There was no other way to reach out. They literally taped it on our door. I would rather live in my car than deal with this property management company again and I will be getting my lawyer involved.

Helping renters find housing seems to be her very charitable priority, by asking for lower rents than other property managers in the area and giving renter applicants every benefit-of-the-doubt and leases to people with questionable credit and criminal backgrounds and shaky references. Great for struggling homeless tenants! But a nightmare for landlords / homeowners! I highly recommend that people read Yelp's "not recommended review" that can only be seen by scrolling down and clicking on the link for it. I totally agree with it! - especially about the difficulty communicating with this agency and their frequent practice of lying (when backed against the wall when they don't honor their agreements). I tried to work with this agency for 3 years, but have learned from my mistake and will never be back! I had a WAY worse "nightmarish tenant" than the one described in Greg B.'s 3/24/2022 review, but instead of thanking BCR for helping me through it, I blame them for causing it - with their very lax tenant screening process! The extreme financial property losses I have suffered from my BCR nightmare far outweigh the small rental income I ever received. Homeowners and landlords BEWARE!!!

What was even better is the remarkable customer experience I had with Claire. Unlike most of the other showings where the conversation was hurried, cold and transactional, this one was warm, welcoming and actually enjoyable. Claire was gracious, very knowledgeable and thoughtful - even helping me consider what it would be like living in the house on a daily basis to make sure it would be a good fit for me. It was like meeting a new best friend - easy and friendly. Being an executive coach, I was intrigued and asked about her business. She talked about her owner partner, Kristin, how much they love their work helping good people find good homes. A day later, I went to their office and met Kristin. These two are special - smart, warm, engaging - and they know serving their customers exceptionally well is essential. They get it. Michael L.

There IS a difference in property management companies. Pioneer is the best property management…read morecompany I've worked with in the Denver area. The bad ones will often overestimate how much your place will get in rent, attract underqualified renters, provide low quality maintenance, and as a result, you have a lot of turnover and unexpected damage to your property. I've been there with other management companies in Denver, including many with allegedly good reviews. The good ones will keep it boring in the best way--consistent, high quality renters, fair market prices, and actual property management that leads to less damage, less turnover, and better care for your property. That's what Pioneer does. They do a great job of attracting qualified tenants who PAY ON TIME. They plan ahead and make your rental property as easy as you had hoped it'd be the day you decided to turn a place into a rental. They're responsive on email and by phone, and they want to do the right thing for you. It has been a night and day difference working with PPM compared to other management companies in the area. If you're a property owner looking to rent out your place in the Denver Metro area, choose them. Your future self and your rental property will thank you for it.

I asked him to please not tell jokes like that, and he defended the action by saying "but they laughed", AFTER I told him that they were so deeply offended that they would rather abandon a property they loved than pay his office a dime. His tone-deafness is a liability in 2020. I asked to please work with another agent from the office, and he connected me with Matt Mulcahy. He and I worked wonderfully together until he took a new position at Keller Williams (I highly recommend him). I was told I would transition to Jesse. Instead, Arnold took it upon himself, after I had made that boundary very clear. When I voiced my opposition to this, Arnold contacted my Ex Husband (they are aquatinted) to discuss and circumvent me. My former spouse has had ZERO to do with my property for over 6 months. The misogyny and disrespect for women in particular is not something I will tolerate and was the reason for the termination of our real estate contract. I should have known exactly what the situation was when I heard him refer to the women who do ALL of the hard work at his office as "my girls". These are professional grown women who keep his business operational. Not *anyones* "girls". Or to his farm employees as "my hired-men". It took me a while to figure out why this didn't sit well with me. It's because "hired-man" is a descriptor connoting that this person is indeed being paid, as opposed to the tradition of unpaid farm labor, aka, slavery. Over the last 140 years or so, "employee" has become part of the common vernacular to create equality for every person who receives a paycheck. This is only the tip of the "Iceberg of Disrespect" that is Arnold Turner. If you are looking for a great realtor, I recommend Matt Mulcahy of Keller Williams.
