My experience with Dakota Property Management, specifically with Samantha, has been nothing short of frustrating and unacceptable. For months, I have endured serious habitability issues in my rental property, including: No heat for 8 days in winter (Oct 26 - Nov 4, 2024), leaving my home unsafe. A non-working fireplace that was turned off by maintenance and never restored. Repeated dishwasher failures that took weeks to even get a technician scheduled. A broken microwave that was reported in August 2024 and ignored for over 7 months. A leaking refrigerator that damaged my wood floors and basement--never properly repaired, leaving a risk for mold. I have repeatedly attempted to contact Samantha and Dakota Property Management to address these serious concerns, and they have either ignored my messages or delayed action for months. Despite multiple follow-ups, no meaningful effort has been made to restore these essential services or provide compensation for the unlivable conditions I have endured. This is not just poor management--it is negligence. Colorado tenant laws require landlords to maintain habitable conditions, yet Dakota Property Management fails to meet even the most basic responsibilities. I strongly advise anyone considering renting from or working with Dakota Property Management to look elsewhere. If you expect professionalism, responsiveness, or even basic property maintenance, you will be sorely disappointed. We both said why not and wanted to take a look at it. We had not found a realtor yet neither been pre-approved as we planned to wait for spring. After doing some quick research on skilled realtors in the property area we came across the Hakimi team's outstanding references. I made a contact request and within no time, minutes really, David reached out and made arrangements to view the property the following day. We met and instantly felt comfortable and in good hands with David. His experience in both the selling side and knowledge of the financial side helped gear us in the right direction to start our pre-approval process with great lenders and begin our home search. We had not considered a new build as they usually do not have a decent yard or spacing in between homes. In fact when we found our new home, we were working that weekend with Amanda on David's behalf while he was out of town. He drove straight from the airport to meet us at the builder's sales office to go over the contract we would be signing. As mentioned Amanda took over working with us for that weekend and she too went above and beyond to meet with us when we found something last minute that we wanted to see. She met with us to view properties even with an already scheduled full day of showings on her plate. She also provided us an updated list of other potential properties with our must haves to check out. We ended up finding our home because Amanda knew of a neighborhood that had all the specifics we were looking for. Her knowledge in the area brought us to our new community and we signed the sales contract on a new build that same day. All through the process which was about 4 months in total for construction to be completed, they constantly checked in, they attended all walk throughs and provided helpful input when there was some loan issues. They were simply wonderful since the very beginning. We felt like we had known them forever and were working with friends. They truly have your best interests in mind and are in it for all the right reasons. I am very grateful for their communication and all their efforts. David even continued to follow up after our move offering to let us borrow any necessary tools if needed since moving and knowing what box your tools are in is not always possible. Oh My Goodness, where do I begin, with regard to Candice Oh! !…read more As anyone that knows me, I am not one for change, even if it's at a cost of a few Pennie's or more, I will deal with the hassle, lol. So when it came to us looking for a new house (new to us), we needed to find a realtor to buy and then sell our current home. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we were unable to use our previous realtor. So, on the hunt we went for an honest, reliable, realtor, with a go getum attitude. We reached out to some good friends of ours that had recently bought and sold their house, and they turned us on to Candice Oh. Again, I was still a little stand offish, expecting the worst, and here walks in this little spunky lady, like she just drank a pot of coffee, with that go getum attitude, that she could conquer the world attitude . That changed my whole perspective, and gave me hope. Without making this a novel, I can honestly say. We started our journey in late October, and closed on both the new house and our house the beginning of January. Candice and her team went above and beyond, in every aspect of our journey. In this journey, my wife took the reins, and handled everything from providing the paper/documents, to setting up the appointments to see the house we were looking at, as well as the viewing of our house. If I was to tell you it was a perfect transaction on both ends I would be lying. However, it was smooth all the way around, and any road bumps we experienced, Candice made sure to express, that she would make that road as smooth as possible, and we wouldn't experience any discomfort along the way. My wife would agree with me, because she is a lot harder to please than me, and tends to get stressed out very easily, at the littlest of things. She would tell me every day, how pleased she was with Candice Oh, and her team. One more thing, without going into detail. There was one incident, that we needed to have someone go to our house for Xcell to get into the backyard, and neither of us were at the house. Candice was able to go to our house, put our two 90 pound dogs in the garage (without getting eaten alive), and let the Xcell guy in the back yard to look at the electrical box. She was able to do this with only five minutes notice. If you are looking for a realtor to give you that 120% effort, Candice Oh, is your woman. A lot of people will say they will go that extra mile, but will they actually do it. In this crazy housing market that we are in, you have a lot of realtors that are just in it to make a quick buck. Candice Oh is not like that, she enjoys what she does, and wants to make your dreams come true. Candice may be little, and wired on caffeine, some if not most of the time.
