I knocked more items off my want list here than anywhere around the country in recent memory. Prices IMHO range from low to a bit high, so more than fair in the aggregate. Easy to browse despite the small space. Prices clearly marked. Easy parking. For the type of shop this is (the type I like most!), legitimately great.

The comics I bought were in mint condition and some of them were total steals! I was shocked to get a comic worth almost $50 for just $15. This was the most organised comic book store I've ever been to and I really appreciated the cozy atmosphere. I also loved that they had a nice comfy couch for my parents to relax on while I was getting my comics. Would totally recommend this spot if you're hunting for specific comics!!

I went in twice while visiting family in Milwaukee, and both times walked out of Collector's Edge with unexpected surprises and long sought-after additions to my collection. I was especially happy that, while they certainly carry plenty of the standard superhero comics from Marvel and DC, there's also an excellent selection of the independent titles I tend to prefer. And perhaps my favorite thing - to find the good stuff, you should be willing to hunt a bit. While I'm sure the staff would be only too happy to help point you in the direction of something you're looking for, if you have the time to explore for yourself Collector's Edge will reveal its many treasures to you. So while Zanadu, my old favorite place to shop for comics in Seattle, closed its doors years ago, it's good to know that good old-fashioned comic shops like Collector's Edge keep their tradition going.

What it lacks for in size, it makes up for in curation. These booksellers know the Bay View audience and have thoughtfully handpicked their stock to suit. I noticed that they have a few bookclubs--I can't remember all of them but there is one that focuses on books about wine. So, if you're looking to learn more about wine, you may have found your spot. They have a nice selection of social justice books and have a solid supply of graphic novels as well. For myself, I was able to pick up a collection of short stores while I was in. What a gem of a spot! Get to it!

Not my full time job but I do love going into odd and ends stores to find a specific item. It's the thrill of the find that I chase for. So every time my husband and I are vacationing across the country, we spend a little bit of that time to find vintage shops like this one to find what is needed for his collection or others. I've been in search for a 2017 Mighty Morphin Red Ranger, made by Bandai, and is part of their "Build a Zord" collection, for about 5 years now. For whatever reason, my husband missed the opportunity to purchase this item when it came out. Time passed and when we finally located that item, the scalpers were selling them for an arm, a leg, and your first born child. I found the exact item on eBay from Make Cents and purchased it as an early Christmas gift for my husband. At a very fair price. I wanted him to go there, stumble across it, then surprise him that I had already purchased it. Plans did not work as the day before we were going on a journey to the establishment, he was whining that I was working on procuring items for everyone but not for his most sought-out item. So I broke the news to him. Make Cents is such a fun store. It's what I would imagine when I think of the best place where all my childhood toys are. Video games, TMNT, Barbie, Rainbow Brite, to wrestling figures, loved and displayed perfectly. The shop is small but so clean. There's also a glass display of all pastel pink items and I can tell you, I wanted each and every item. So nostalgic! The people there take pride in their products and they are aware of the magic this place has. The person who sold the item to us was so kind. He allowed us take our time to look at everything in the shop and was available to answer any questions, even if the shop was closing in 15 minutes. This establishment is such a gem and a must-see for all walks of life.

The small store in a nondescript strip mall is a must see for collectors. Almost all of the items are in a case or behind the counter and are clearly marked with a price. This is the kind of place to get a gift for yourself or that person who appreciates the effort of finding that unique item you won't be able to find elsewhere. The shop is set up with different rooms devoted to your interest, with comics in one wing and games in another, and more general books and collectibles merchandise in the main room where you enter. If you head to the back, you'll find space for game playing and where Don is organizing his back stock of comics. The shop on the whole is bright and colorful, and I felt totally welcome to browse. Don and Carla had a nice word for everyone who came in the store, and it was pretty clear that they have a small army of loyal customers. The outside of the store isn't much to look at - it's situated in an industrial-looking strip mall - but don't let that deter you from the checking out their cozy shop. Even if you're not a full-on geek, there are still things for you here - several of their games are great for a game night with friends.
