I cannot tell you how happy I am that I did! The acupuncturist Tammy is incredibly knowledgeable, insightful, caring and has the greatest "bedside" manner I have ever come across. She actually listens to what you tell her, "listens" to how your body is responding and plans her treatment accordingly. She is actually diligent in her quest to heal! Since being under her care, I have been able to decrease and/or stop most of my medications, I can actually walk in my shoes without limping and have actually been able to sleep more soundly than I have in years. She takes the time to listen to your concerns and treats what ails you. She goes above and beyond to ensure a great experience. Today was my first day visiting. I've had acupuncture several times before so I knew what to expect, but she exceeded it. I arrived early and she was able to start working on me within a few minutes after my arrival. I sat in the waiting area for a few minutes and chatted with another patient who raved about Melinda. Now I know why. After being taken back into the waiting area, she asked me some questions about what brought me to acupuncture. Then I laid on the table, and she got to work. She chatted with me about my job and other things as she gently placed the needles on various parts of my body. Then she put a space blanket on me and put on soothing nature sounds and left me to relax for about 20-30 minutes. I instantly felt relaxed and started to feel my headache dissipate. When she returned to take out the needles, she spent time doing cupping on my knee. I had never had that done before, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I scheduled my biweekly appointment afterwards and was on my way. If you are considering acupuncture, you should go for it.
