I just want to say thank you to Jackie and everyone at Pulse for reaching about to us about this matter and going above and beyond to make it right. I truly and wholeheartedly believe that the team at Pulse care about what they do, and most importantly they care about the patient experience. You can feel it in the first phone, from the moment you walk in the door, the treatment you receive, and even in their response to a less than ideal visit. My initial visit was such an enlightening & liberating experience for me & my multi ailments. Marie not only exudes a qualified, calming & gifted approach with her seasoned techniques, she will school you from A-Z concisely yet expeditiously in this amazing component of traditional Chinese medicine. Her healing perspective in conjunction with this form of alternative medicine was a internal blowing of my mind, body & spirit. The thin needles were darn near touch-less & barely noticeable as she studied the numerous acupuncture points before inserting them into my specific body parts. For me, I walked away with less discomfort from the chronic aspect & it became more evident/effective later in the day & evening. Per design, everyone's make up is unique...as for me, this was better accommodating & cost efficient to the standard care & reiteration of "you should have back surgery" - NEGATIVE. It also awaken the yearning I have for my vitality to evolve through this inner cultivation of holistic learning & treatment-POSITIVE. Crossings is absolutely "A Center For Healing".

Multiple doctors visits concluded that I had an ovarian cyst that could not be operated on. The "best" advice I received was to enter medical menopause -- which would just be swapping out symptoms and pain. In desperation, I decided to try Mary, although I was a bit skeptical of acupuncture. In a matter of four sessions, my pain went from 8-10 during menstruation, to 2-3. I haven't had the pain return either! I continue to follow up with her, because she is fantastic. She is calming and patient with you, and the whole experience feels like an indulgent massage. She is the best -- get an appointment NOW! :)

As a first time mom, it was wonderful to have their expertise and level-headed approach to pregnancy and childbirth throughout the journey - and lord knows I had a million and one questions. They are both knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely lovely people to know and work with. Rose was the doula in attendance at my birth and her presence was so calming and appreciated. She came to our house during early labor when I was unsure of how the process was going. And from the house to the hospital, she was with us every step of the way. In the hospital, she had lots of supplies with her to support my L&D, including a much used hot water bottle that made those first few hours more bearable. And when the doctors said my son was "sunny side up," Rose helped moved me into different positions and did adjustments to help encourage baby to change position (which he did!!). She held my hand (and my leg ) during 3 hours of pushing and reminded me often to breathe, made sure I was drinking water, and reminded me to relax when possible. Truly, I could not have done it without her. It was amazing to have someone looking out for me in the L&D room. As as added bonus, she took photos when our son was born which are really special to have. Although I think I'm a "one and done" type person with my son, if I were to have another child, I would engage Jenny and Rose again for their services in a heartbeat!

SSD has TENS units for clients and I got to use one for this birth (no idea if it helped but so glad to try it out!). The community classes are informative. I went into labor at 2:30 in the morning and Rose joined us shortly afterwards. She knows what signs mean your labor is progressing and what might be helpful in reducing pain and when you need to leave for the hospital, and she knows how to let your body lead the labor. At the hospital, Rose advocated for us to make sure we had the care we needed (e.g.: the hospital was understaffed and we were left alone and I was in no state to ask where on earth our medical team was when I was pushing). Pretty sure I'm done after kid #2 but if we do have any more we will definitely be asking SSD to join us again.

They want your personal information and have you make an appointment, but no real information. I don't like to make an appointment without knowing anything about insurance which most places have on their site, out of courtesy. After getting through on the phone. they said she does not take insurance. Please beware of places that don't take insurance. Insurance normally pays $100, and practitioners easily juggle about 3 at a time, because the majority of time the customer is alone with the needles in them. $300 hour, let's say 5 hrs per day, working 3 days a week only. $234,000 year. Some want to charge more than insurance allows. To me this is another red flag, because there is already so much greed in acupuncture, and no accountability, and lack of caring.
