More Than a Printer -- They Helped Bring My Vision to Life…read more I came to CatPrint with a very personal project for my 50th birthday called First Class to Fifty: The Companion. It was designed as a small keepsake telling the story of my travels and the milestones, lessons and memories connected to them. This was not a simple print job. The size was unusual, the artwork was detailed, and I was extremely particular about how the colors, maps, typography and full-page imagery translated to paper. CatPrint handled all of it with an incredible amount of care. Jane, in particular, was patient, responsive and genuinely invested in helping me get this right. There were revisions, questions, proofs, last-minute changes and more than a few moments when I was convinced I had created an impossible little book. She never made me feel like my project was "too much." She helped me understand the production requirements and worked with me until we had something I was proud to hold in my hands. And the print quality is beautiful. The warm tones, subtle details and artwork came through exactly the way I hoped. I'm including photos of the cover and one of my favorite spreads--Jamaica--because they show just how beautifully CatPrint reproduced the design. This project meant far more to me than paper and ink. It represents 50 years of becoming, traveling, learning and finding my way home. Having a printer treat something so personal with this much care mattered. Thank you, Jane and the CatPrint team, for helping The Companion make its final flight. I'll never forget it. 10/10. Would absolutely trust them with something meaningful again.

I ordered 90 prints from them recently for an upcoming art sale. All I have to say is they are…read moreincredibly accommodating. I ended up ordering my prints with a very short window for them to ship in time and I misunderstood the site and chose hard copy proofs without taking a second to realize that hard copy proofs also have a shipping time (duh on my part). However when I emailed them asking to change the proof method, not only did they do it with no issues, they also responded to my email very quickly and very kindly. When I later also received hard copies in the mail (I'm assuming they had already shipped out before I asked to change the proof method, or there was a shipping cost involved that they wanted to not steal from me) they did come considerably damaged. To me it's no harm no foul, they are proofs and are essentially extra to my order + the print quality on them despite the shipping damage was very good. This made me more worried about my full order as I spent a large amount of $ on them after spending weeks trying to pick a printing company. But, when I emailed yet again, they responded to me by apologizing about the proofs and then telling me how my full order was in much more secure packaging. I'll be receiving my order this Friday, so I have yet to know if they will come unharmed. Overall, I think CatPrint is a pretty good service for small artists like myself doing art sales. The prints are definitely not full archival quality but they are definitely good enough for people like me. On top of that they were incredibly helpful in helping me fix various issues, one of which was entirely my fault, without making me feel like a burden. I do think they need to package their proofs better by at the very least placing a piece of cardboard as a backing in the envelope. In a world of big companies like Amazon, it's nice to be able to support a small business run by real people. I hope to use them in the future.
