I ordered 90 prints from them recently for an upcoming art sale. All I have to say is they are incredibly accommodating. I ended up ordering my prints with a very short window for them to ship in time and I misunderstood the site and chose hard copy proofs without taking a second to realize that hard copy proofs also have a shipping time (duh on my part). However when I emailed them asking to change the proof method, not only did they do it with no issues, they also responded to my email very quickly and very kindly. When I later also received hard copies in the mail (I'm assuming they had already shipped out before I asked to change the proof method, or there was a shipping cost involved that they wanted to not steal from me) they did come considerably damaged. To me it's no harm no foul, they are proofs and are essentially extra to my order + the print quality on them despite the shipping damage was very good. This made me more worried about my full order as I spent a large amount of $ on them after spending weeks trying to pick a printing company. But, when I emailed yet again, they responded to me by apologizing about the proofs and then telling me how my full order was in much more secure packaging. I'll be receiving my order this Friday, so I have yet to know if they will come unharmed. Overall, I think CatPrint is a pretty good service for small artists like myself doing art sales. The prints are definitely not full archival quality but they are definitely good enough for people like me. On top of that they were incredibly helpful in helping me fix various issues, one of which was entirely my fault, without making me feel like a burden. I do think they need to package their proofs better by at the very least placing a piece of cardboard as a backing in the envelope. In a world of big companies like Amazon, it's nice to be able to support a small business run by real people. I hope to use them in the future. read more

Response to Nicole G. who replied to my review - what she is saying is all lies. I had to cancel one order to United Kingdom and one order to Israel. Reason: their system does not accept address formats other than the US. It is obvious that other countries have differently formatted addresses, like some do not have states, and zip codes have letters, and zip codes are not 6 characters. So, after few days of waiting, I contacted the customer support asking why there was no progression, they told me that they need "alternative address", that their system does not accept addresses that I provided. They agreed with me that those addresses were valid, easily searchable on internet, there was nothing wrong with the addresses. But their system does not accept them.??? They needed US-formatted addresses as alternative. I have only one advice: stay away from CatPrint if you want to ship internationally. read more

I don't know what's going on with this company. I don't typically write bad reviews anywhere but this is my $. I'm updating my review because I really tried to like them after I supported them for YEARS prior. I began using them a while back and a year ago I began using them again but my backings were wonky. I gaslit myself saying it's because they're a small company and learning pains ya-da-ya-da-ya-da. I thought they had gotten their stuff together but it doesn't seem like they have which is wild because the $ I give you doesn't come out of thin air. I see so many artists using them on social media. They keep advertising themselves to artists and making themselves a go to business FOR artists and their prints but the quality in printing is not ideal if you want quality nor is the shipping handled correctly. On top of that, Their go to is "usps handles packages how they handle it and we have no input in that". I'm aware of shipping companies and their notorious ways of handling packages, that's a given. But the prints are packaged and damaged in transit due to the poor packaging on their end which is INSANE because you pay as much for the shipping as you do for prints at times. If I'm paying you for a service out of my hard earned $, I expect to not have headaches and for you not give me any more. I assume you will facilitate the process on your own. How are you servicing others while messing up print colors and having artists calibrate for you when they don't have calibrated monitors ? We can't see what you see on YOUR end? Don't other humans I'm the company SEE these prints before they go out that they don't match the original artwork colors? Any regular Joe will be grateful to get their stuff printed here but if you're looking for specialized prints for collectors and artwork, this is never going to be that place ,unfortunately. 1 Star for Kathy. There's nowhere on their site that says they even offer samples, and the only option I can find other than calling them is the Chat, which just doesn't work. I ordered my art prints for my small business from CatPrint and fell in love before even placing my order. I paid for 5 copies of each print with a first-time order discount of $1/pc, which was the cheapest service that I could find both locally and online. The paper and print quality are great! In addition, they have live customer service, so if you have any questions or issues, they tend to respond within minutes--and it's a real person! I received my order today 10/3/2024 and as I checked the quantity and quality of the prints, I realized there were 3 extras of each print! I asked them about it and they said that their printer sometimes prints extras during the process and if those extras pass the quality check they are included in the order free of charge rather than recycling them!!! I've never been more in love with a print service! Paper samples and hard copy proofs are free and offer more than just art prints. I recommend reading their About page too! I've ordered from CatPrint several times for prints in my house. The quality is (usually) great, and the production is quick. However, the last time I ordered from the company, my items arrived damaged (this is the second time an order has arrived damaged). I emailed their customer service team and they quickly sent over a new order. However, the replacement order was also damaged! The way their shipping department packs prints is baffling to me. Both shipments (a few 8x10 prints) were simply thrown into a box. Being jumbled around cross-country, there was no doubt my items were going to arrive wrinkled and folded. I don't understand why they didn't ship my items in a flat, rigid envelope as an Etsy vendor would, for example. After sending them additional photos, the company refunded my purchase, which I very much appreciated. However, I don't think I will order from this company again as they clearly don't know how to properly ship merchandise. read more

I'm a comic artist and I've ordered a few times from here, they are super cheap but have content guidelines about what they will and won't print (which are hidden near the bottom of the page, by the way). I ordered some prints of my work this last time and it took an entire week for them to write me and tell me that they canceled my entire order because they're guidelines have gotten stricter. ...and in the scheme of things my art is pretty mild. I've ordered from CatPrint in the past and they've always delivered excellent service. They're the go-to place if you're looking for specialty stock paper. My first orders went amazingly! Although my most recent order I ran into some problems. I duplicated an order (with the same files) and the prints came back drastically different in color. I was told they can't guarantee color matching and there is color shifting between runs. However, at that same time they were undergoing printer maintenance, which leads me to believe perhaps that influenced the colors to be wrong. The paper I had ordered was a specialty stock, which sadly changed when I ordered it the second time around. I would love more transparency from CatPrint for when there's changes in their paper stock. Because I was unhappy with my order, I was able to get a refund which I immensely appreciate. I'd love to order from them again if color accuracy for reorders/duplicate orders was reassured. read more

I'm so utterly furious right now because I put in card information and confirmed the rider and checked out completely and you guys have the AUDACITY to sit here and cancel my order because I supposedly didn't pay for it WHEN I CAN PROVE THAT I DID. I'm a designer and I've used CatPrint to print my own wedding invitations and save the date card, as well as another wedding set for a client. I've found that for a pretty low price, this printer is able to deliver a fairly high quality of work. I sent away for a paper sample set before I made my choice to print here. I wanted to see what stock they had to offer and to my surprise there was a wide variety of weights and textures. My save the date card was printed without issue and turned around quickly. They do offer printed proofs, which is a nice service for a big/budget printer to have. My wedding set proof looked fantastic but the final delivered batch was very clearly trimmed off center. I contacted the customer service email and sent an image. Almost immediately they offered a free re-print and it was delivered within a few days. Ultimately I was super happy with the final set and turnaround. Yes, you can definitely get your work printed by a smaller, local printer and perhaps have more options and more hands-on input. I reached out to several of those types of shops for wedding quotes. Their prices were WAY higher than CatPrint and I didn't have that kind of money to burn. I would definitely recommend this printer for card/invitation jobs. Give yourself enough time to receive a printed proof and allow for any hiccups along the way and you'll be pleased with your choice. read more

I've used CatPrint to print my Christmas cards (which are weird, designed-by-me postcards) for the last three years. They're great! The dumb mainstream card-printers try to force you to use their own (dumb and clichéd) card designs, and then they charge OODLES. CatPrint is really cheap, and is respectful of my hobbyist graphic design! They've got lots of paper and folding options. Their online order builder/quote tool is easy to use while still allowing lots of customization. Plus, they send free proofs, which is useful, because I've actually decided to make some changes as a result (last year, I decided my card was too dark after I saw the proof, and so I lightened it up, and the final version was way better.) Every (email) interaction I've had with CatPrint staff has been great. Plus, they're an Upstate New York company, which as an Ithacan, I appreciate :). They're clearly a thoughtful company full of happy people who like their jobs. read more

CatPrint was recommended to me by my sister who used CatPrint to print her custom designed Save the Date post cards when she got married. We spent over a month designing the post cards I wanted to send for my own Save the Dates. I took full advantage of free paper samples to see which I liked best and even took advantage of the free hard copy proof. At first the customer service team was nothing but pleasant to work with when finishing my order. I finalized the order and received the cards. After addressing all of them and mailing them out, I come to find two days later that over 10 cards had been returned to me so torn apart that they couldn't reach the intended address. I also got a couple calls and texts from close family and friends who mentioned the beating the cards took in the mail. While I understand that CatPrint does not have control over how USPS handles the cards, I firmly believe that the paper quality should be of a higher standard for post cards. There is no reason that the addresses should have been ripped beyond recognition, although CatPrint customer service will tell you that's normal "wear and tear". I contacted customer service expecting a quick resolution due to my first experience being so pleasant, but was met with resistance and only offered a discount for a future order and replacement cards to resend to guests or have as keepsakes. Both solutions are meaningless as I would never resend the same card to someone and I didn't need a keepsake- I needed service and quality that finished the job correct the first time. At this time I also have no interest in a discount on future orders because I will never use this website again. I found it petty that they would not acknowledge some responsibility in the quality of their products and inability to do even a partial refund for a $40 order. If you use CatPrint, consider yourself warned that the Ultra Card Stock does not hold up as a post card and if you run into the same problem as me, customer service will not help. I hope this review helps someone reconsider who they print their post cards with so they do not have the same experience as me. read more

Useless. They boast about being a great place to print anime style art prints. Had one that was drawn to the scale I planned on printing it, and they claimed it was pixelated. Gave them the higher quality version, they claimed it still was. Told my artist about it and she went over and redid the supposed problem area, and they STILL said it was pixelated. In the end they said they'd print it but I forfeited my right to a refund, and I told them to cancel and refund me. Should've looked it up beforehand; even positive reviews mentioned their printed material was more pixelated than it should've been, telling me they knew their printers had issues so we're trying to put the blame on me. I'd steer clear if you want any sort of quality or customer service. read more

I had an etsy-designed, custom, wedding program rack card (4" x 9") printed via Cat Print, and it came out perfectly. The quality of the paper stock and the printing were both excellent. I paid a fraction of what it would have cost had I gotten these done anywhere else. I ordered 200 programs for under $95, which included taxes and shipping~! I read about Cat Print somewhere and am truly grateful to have used them for my wedding printing needs. Customer service was really helpful, and I couldn't have had a better experience. read more

I don't know what is going on at catprint but they have just become on of the worst experiences I have ever had. I have used catprint for my professional photography business cards and mailers for the last three years. I have never had problems until recently. In May I ordered business cards from their website, approved the crop the website showed and PAID them in advance for the cards. They never arrived. In October I realized they had never arrived when I started a new order. I mentioned I would like the previous order refunded, but figured it was just a hick-up and they didn't mean to STEAL my money. I received a self satisfied email from catprint saying that they never sent the order because it wasn't ratioed at 3.5x2 which they require for all business card prints. But what about the cropping tool that showed everything was cropped ok for me? Nope, you have to go back and reload the files all cropped within the ratio of 3.5x2. So I did that. They had never given me a PPI so I kept the files at the largest size possible since I didn't know what they wanted. I got an email asking if I would like to pay them $20 to resize the files since they still wouldn't work. Remember they said the files would be skewed due to ratio problems. Still no PPI. So yes I lost it, I asked them what bleeping ppi would they like so I could go in and spend EVEN MORE of my time prepping the images that they want prepped even though online the cropping looked fine from the get go. After 5 days of dealing with them on the issue they decided because I cursed they were going to cancel the order. Leaving me high and dry for the cards I need even after I jumped through hoop after hoop for them. NEVER use catprint. They are a terrible company and they have no true customer service. read more

We received out daughter's wedding invitations damaged, bent, and dirty by their printing process. We contacted Catprint with pictures of the damage. We didn't ask for a full refund, only a partial refund, as we did not have time to send them back and have them reprinted. Catprint admitted the damage but refused to even give us a partial refund. My first experience ordering online with Cat Print for my wedding invitations was fantastic, however, the second experience ensured I will never order again from them again. I ordered custom designed Thank You cards and when I received them they were not full bleed. They look awful considering the background is a solid purple and then cuts off to a stark white border. When I looked back to my order I realized I had forgotten to select "print to edge"; however, my file was set up for full bleed. Because I had to email the file after placing the order, I was not able to see the preview. I would hope that once reviewing the file someone would have contacted me and verified that I did/did not want a bleed. When I contacted someone I was told they could reprint at 30% plus $7.70 flat. Considering I am paying for a wedding I cannot afford to reprint thank you cards and I told them I would just have to cut the excess paper off. One button is easy to miss, and I would hope they would be a little more understanding considering I did set up the file correctly. I can't imagine I am the only one who has forgotten to click one button. I would recommend that Cat Print sends a simple proof with dielines when a file is emailed to ensure that no one else has the same experience, or at the very least be a little more concerned with customer satisfaction in regards to their product. read more

Dude! I saw these guys recommended on a wedding website & decided to go with them instead of the printers I usually use for my business cards. When I submitted my design I got an email back saying I needed to make the border bigger or could pay them. I opted to do it myself, resubmitted & boom...it was all good. While the print job turned out well, it was expensive and there were zero choices for paper. With CatPrint, we first received samples of all of the paper and we were able to receive a free hard copy of each item before we placed the order. When we wanted to make some changes after receiving teh proofs, we received excellent and quick customer service, and the final result turned out beautifully. Great customer service! I accidentally ordered the wrong size prints for our wedding announcements to begin with, a batch of 360 10x7" instead of 5x7". They caught the error, unfortunately after they had already been paid for and printed, but quickly got back to us asking if we had made a mistake and offering a reprint for 50% off. CatPrints has been my go-to for art prints since I first learned about them as an artist in college. I sell my artwork freelance at conventions, and have never found anyone who can beat their paper and color quality. They arrive safely packed every time, and the website interface is easy to use. My favorite papers for art prints are the Light Card Stock - Satin (don't let "light" fool you, these are nice sturdy prints, not too glossy). For more specialty or fancy print projects, I use Heavy Card Stock - Felt (for some texture), or Heavy Card Stock - Cotton (my favorite for "watercolor" or "traditional media" looking prints)! read more

Everything is always delivered on time and looks great. I chose to use Cat Print for several reasons: I love that they have multiple shipping options so I can be sure to get my orders when I need them. There's also a large selection of papers which is great for me to offer to my clients. I don't have to worry about things being printed too dark or streaky (I've had this problem with other printers) because everything always matches what I see on my screen. And the prices are unbeatable. Lastly, customer service is great and goes above and beyond every other printer that I have used. Usually Matt helps me and he is always very prompt to answer all of my questions. I saw CatPrint recommended on a "A Practical Wedding" post about DIY wedding invitations and checked into them. They had the best prices by far and good reviews about their quality. I chose to go with CatPrint to print our custom wedding invitations and I'm so glad I did! I requested a free proof which revealed an issue with one of my files that caused it to print off-center. I also realized we'd forgotten to put an rsvp on our invitation. The customer service rep quickly and easily corrected the alignment issue and swapped out a corrected file so that we could include the rsvp information. I'm so happy with the final product! The paper quality is great and the colors are rich and vibrant. They're gorgeous and cost us less than $90 for 150 invitations (5x7). Get the free hard-copy proof. It's worth an extra few days to make sure everything is right. I highly recommend CatPrint for printing any of your wedding items! We'll be back for programs and anything else we need. read more

Cat Print is the best! My fiance, a graphic designer, designed our save-the-date cards for our wedding, and we had Cat Print print them. We had a somewhat unconventional folded layout and a full-color, double-sided design. Not only did the final product come out absolutely beautiful (we have gotten so many compliments!), but the customer service we received from Eileen was above and beyond. We had a few snags before approving our design, and she worked with us every step of the way, fielding many calls from us and never getting frustrated or annoyed. She even took and sent us a photo of our card on her desk to confirm it was folded correctly, and caught when we accidentally uploaded a low-res version of the card. Plus, she assured us she would oversee the final print and fold to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. Overall, Cat Print has great prices, a large selection of paper, custom size options, guaranteed delivery dates and outstanding customer service (especially from Eileen).
