The shops here are closer to the reservation with lots of Native American artists so it is much more affordable than the same thing in Santa Fe. It is a bit touristy but we are tourists so we enjoyed it. Many shops had unique items that were hard to find and even though it was mainly for show I loved seeing the dried chili everywhere. The area has legit history and age and it was great being able to see and do so much without moving our car. Parking was easy and from the town square you can get to many different shops, restaurants, and attractions. The church was a nice fast stop, but I liked the exterior more than the interior. The vibe and architecture are perfect American Southwest and we enjoyed our time here. There was also a Pokemon card shop I grabbed some cards for the kids from!

As we wandered the store, we looked at the gently used women's wear (beautiful dresses, and unique jackets), books, and kitschy items that include items men (and women) would like for camping or traveling. As we checked out, we noticed some fun stickers. I bought one for my niece: " Cool Girls Care." The gentlemen who checked us out was personable and helpful. He told us his store had only been here a month. He also told us where our mural was located - around the corner! So glad we found it and this shop. Both were memorable!

Breaking Bad is one of the greatest TV series of all time starring Bryan Cranston and Anna Gunn (my huge crush!). The BB store has every novelty you can think of from magnets to socks to parking signs. There's also a museum ($5 admission) containing original props from the movie. What we enjoyed most, though, was the museum area, which has a separate admission of just $5 per person. Inside, you'll find actual costumes worn on the show, autographs, Saul's office setup, Hector's iconic wheelchair, and even the chickens from Los Pollos Hermanos. You can also pose for photos wearing the apron and hat! It felt like a mini Comic-Con experience, but without the lines. There's even a guestbook where visitors from all over the world have signed, and we noticed that Bryan Cranston himself stopped by not too long ago. Definitely worth a visit when you're in Old Town Albuquerque!
