While my wife and I were visiting my son in Rio Rancho, we decided to go last night to Green Jeans Food Hall. We looked ahead their website to check the food options. My son decided to try the pizza from Amore. When we got there, we couldn't find Amore. We were told that it had closed down. We then proceeded to check the options available. My son ordered a burrito from Kukri. My wife ordered bowl from Fusion Tacos and I ordered Pho from Pho Kup. The food hall is run down, dirty. My wife told me that there was no soap or paper towels in the ladies restroom. It after 5 pm and the parking area was dark. We didn't feel safe. For a Sunday night, the place hardly had any customers. I thought that this food hall was as good as Tin Can Food Alley and others in town, but it is terrible. We will never go back.

This is such a cool place to check out and eat at when visiting Albuquerque. It was also conveniently located next to the Hampton Inn hotel we stayed at when we were there for a long weekend at the end of September. A friend who lives in Santa Fe drove in to meet us for lunch at Green Jeans. It's built out of warehouse siding material and it's nice to see people repurposing materials for good sue. It was a beautiful, hot day when we met there and I'm glad each of the 3 of us had different food options and places to order from. Our food was yummy and we easily found a table in the open area outside with some shade. I got New Mex food, my son got fried chicken, and my friend ordered a banh mi. My son did get a couple mosquito bites so that was annoying, but otherwise a fun experience and a great place to meet people.

This place is cool! We had dinner and beers here last night and it was soooo fun. They had a great cover band and a few yard games, which helped make for an enjoyable evening. They're also pet friendly, which was great. We started with beers from The Santa Fe Brewery. The beers were good but their bouncer was really great. Super friendly and helpful. Now for the food, and after a long , hot and kind of rough day, we were in the mood to treat ourselves, so here goes. My son got tacos- 2 chicken and 2 burria, both yum. We also had an Albuquerque Dump pizza, that comes with green chilis and sausage and was fantastic, as well as a Savior burger with fries. The burger was on the spicy side, which was great for me but a little too much for my husband. The fries were perfect- I could go for a few of them now!

I was recommended to go check it out. I wasn't sure what to expect but saw it was a container park with the Santa Fe Brewing company at its centerpiece. I figured I could get a beer and grab some food from one of the vendors-an easy one stop shop. Unfortunately, the only thing left open was the brewery-separate review for that. I tried to find a place that wasn't either entirely closed or close to it. I didn't find it. While it did seem pretty quiet the brewery had a trivia night and was pretty busy. I'm surprised there wasn't one or two places that might want to take advantage of that but I guess not. It was a little disappointing, especially since I would have liked a bite to eat so I wouldn't be drinking on an empty stomach.

    Parking lot. Beware

Love this place and all the restaurants and people. Parking lot slander: There are two parking lots, one is paved and gorg. another is just a dirt little road with art and this rustic ass vibe but beware.. there are giant nails sticking out of almost all the wood barriers, and I got my tire too close to one of them, completely ripped my tire up... it's just ridiculous that as a business, they have these gorgeous sculptural welded pieces of art amidst a car torture chamber. Like why is this parking lot so overlooked? Not to mention the GIANT pothole as soon as you enter the dirt lot. If that doesn't get you, the nails will. I'd love to hear one good reason as to why these issues haven't been fixed.

This was a cute little place with several eateries. We thought there would be more variety in things to do here but it was cool. We had a beer and sat outside thinking a band would be playing but it was a DJ playing music. I imagine this place is hopping in the evenings but not so much during the week in the early afternoon.

Great fun at Green Jeans on a beautiful afternoon supporting Animal Humane with Ales & Tails! Every drink sold by Santa Fe Brewing Co sends a dollar to Animal Humane on the last Saturday of each month from 1:30-4:30, plus, you get to meet other animal lovers and pet lots of dogs. The cherry on top is the variety of great food: Vietnamese, burgers, sandwiches, ice cream, etc. We chose a pizza from Amore, and it was excellent: crispy, perfect amount of sauce and cheese, fresh basil. Santa Fe offers many types of beers, some wine (including one of my faves from Sheehan), and cocktails. There is plenty of seating, upstairs and downstairs, and even though most seating is outside, there are many heater lamps to keep you toasty. It is mostly self serve, but servers come by often to clear glasses and empty dishes. It is very fun, and I highly recommend.

I love our container park in Las Vegas, so when I saw there were a few in Albuquerque, I decided to add them to my list and check at least one of them out. We decided on Green Jeans and it was pretty darn cute! We were worried at first that there would only be outdoor seating because it was pretty darn cold out. Luckily, there are a lot of seats indoors, especially up in Santa Fe Brewing. And if we had to sit outdoors (which some people were doing willingly in 20 degree weather) there was a big firepit in the middle of a seating area. I was a bit confused that they had menus to places that didn't seem to be there anymore and to be quite honest the place seemed a bit sad, except at Santa Fe Brewing and the pizza place. It could be that we came in on a Thursday night though, maybe the place is bumping on the weekends? The way the containers are placed make it fun to look at and fun to find the place you're looking for, if you're into that. Unfortunately, I am not and I thought it was more confusing than anything else. Luckily, we had a good night so the weird placement didn't ruin anything.

This review is for a specific free event held at the Cottonwood Mall:…read moreTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 40th Anniversary Sunday, August 6, 2024 3 pm - 6 pm Mall foyer, lower level The purpose of the event was to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT). Per the event description, consumers were promised: the turtle Michaelangelo and Turtles would be present for a meet and greet, photo op, interactive games, and a special ninja performance. In reality, consumers got one turtle on a 11x14 stage with a simple backdrop of balloons. No music, no performance, no interactive games or activities and no other turtles. My family and I showed up at 2:50 pm, and were told by the event organizers that the event would begin at 3:30 pm. Well, there was already a long line of folks waiting in line hoping to get their photo op with the greatest TMNT. The line began at the lower level foyer (near escalators and elevators) and continued through the mall to the Mor Furniture Store. I estimated over 1200 people attended this event. I only identified three security guards, mind you, were inexperienced with handling a large crowd and could not maintain crowd control. At 3:30 pm, an imposter Donatello shows up and everyone cheers loudly and excitedly thinking the show was finally going to get started. Donatello began taking photos at the floor level with anyone and everyone that approached him. The families at the beginning of the line were confused, mad, and wondering why other people were getting priority when they had waited in line for at least 1.5 hours before showtime. A few minutes later, it became clear the show hadn't started, and rather, it was just another person wearing a Donatello suit and wanted to compart the joy and smiles throughout the mall with TMNT fans. At 3:50 pm, Michaelangelo finally jumps on stage. People swarm to the front of the stage for their photo op. At the same time, those in line were finally freed from their chains and let one family at a time to take their photo. Mind you, there was still no music. No other turtles, no other activities happening. Just a lonely Michaelangelo that appeared to have drank 30 Red Bulls taking photos with families one by one. My family and I got our photo from the front of stage, and left the area to go shopping with the intent of returning to the event in the hopes more of the promised activities and turtles would show. At 4:15 pm, we return but still there is nothing. Just more people moving through the sloth-like line waiting patiently to get their photo. I felt it necessary to express my extreme disappointment and the failure of the event on the Facebook event page, hosted by Cottonwood Mall in the hopes that the management and/or event coordinator's would take my feedback as a learned experience. Shortly after I posted my feedback, others followed suit. There were over 130 "reactions" on my post, and over 100 comments on my post. Everyone saying the same thing: poorly planned event; do better; my children left crying because the event ended 10 minutes early and they missed their photo opportunity with their favorite turtle; people reported waiting in line for over three hours! To say this event was a failure and complete disappointment is an understatement. However, listen to this - Whomever is responsible for Cottonwood Mall's social media account went to the event page and ERASED ALL the complaints and kept the positive comments!!! So, I am doing my due diligence and posting publicly on platforms that cannot be erased because the event planners and management of Cottonwood Mall need to be held accountable. I'll say it again as I did in my initial post: "Do better Cottonwood Mall!"

The mall itself was ok. Frankly, it reminded me of how much time and habits of people had changed over the years. The mall didn't have too many people..it was more like a gathering of groups of people just so they could interact/hang out together...rather than a place to go buy/get something (e.g. shopping mall). I felt like more than half the shops inside the mall were either empty/closed or had no foot traffic. Most people seemed to congregate around food court, which had smaller ticket prices and people could sit/interact. I ended up sitting around the food court, and doing my things, too. Got my paleta from Paleta Bar....but beyond that..there wasn't really much to do. **Restaurant Review: A Taste of India, Farmington, New Mexico**…read more Walking into A Taste of India in Farmington, New Mexico, I was immediately struck by the warm and inviting ambiance of the restaurant. The rich aromas wafting through the air hinted at the delightful culinary experience that awaited me. As a walk-in customer, I was greeted promptly and seated without delay. After scanning the menu, I decided to try the Butter Chicken and Coconut Chicken, both served with fluffy rice. The Butter Chicken turned out to be a fantastic choice--its creamy tomato sauce coated the perfectly cooked chicken in the most delicious way. Each bite was a comforting blend of spices that left me wanting more. Equally impressive was the Coconut Chicken. The way the coconut milk melded with flavorful spices created a dish that felt both exotic and comforting. Paired with the rice, it was a satisfying combination that made my taste buds dance. I also couldn't resist ordering the Fresh Garlic Naan, which was freshly baked and had a wonderful garlicky aroma. It was the perfect complement to the rich sauces from the main dishes, making it hard to resist going back for more. My server, Sandy, was a highlight of the experience. He was friendly and attentive, helping me navigate the menu and customize my meal. His recommendations were spot on, and his enthusiasm for the food made my visit even more enjoyable. To my surprise, he treated me to some rice pudding for dessert. It was the ideal sweet ending--creamy and light, perfectly wrapping up my meal. Overall, A Taste of India exceeded my expectations.
