I need to start by saying how much appreciation I have for building blocks. I was told by several people in the community that it was a great place for children with developmental disabilities. I definitely made the right choice! He was lucky enough to have Miss Christi for the integrated pre k program. She is fantastic! Thanks to her he was able to move to a general education program for elementary school. When it was time to look for preschool for my other children I looked no further. My son was placed with Miss Christine for the 3s program. He really enjoyed going to her class. She always had wonderful activities and projects planned. She also helped me realize that he also needed some additional services. Thanks to her he is currently in Miss Amy's 4 year old integrated class and he is doing amazing! He is so excited to go to school each day and so eager to learn! He even knows his numbers and letters! My daughter also went to building blocks. She was in the toddler program with Miss Dawn. She is the type of child who doesn't separate easily but Miss Dawn made it happen!! By day three She was running into the classroom without looking back at me! I have never seen my daughter happier! Miss Dawn is the greatest toddler teacher in the world! My children have also received related services through building blocks. Miss Shannon was my older son's occupational therapist and I was overjoyed when I found out that she would be working with my younger son! He also receives physical therapy with Miss Amy and speech therapy with Miss Alexa. I cannot say enough about each of these women. I feel so lucky to have them in my corner. My children have grown so much and come so far due to their hard work and dedication. I would also like to mention the nursing staff. My daughter has epilepsy so you can imagine how nervous I was to send her to a program. Thanks to the amazing nursing staff I had no fear! They are so knowledgeable and they made me feel so comfortable! I knew that she was well taken care of at every moment!! Overall building blocks has exceeded all of my expectations. Every staff member including teachers, assistants, therapists and administrators have been nothing but kind and nurturing throughout this preschool experience. I am forever grateful to this wonderful school!!

I completely agree with the reviewer below. This place is beyond unacceptable. They move children…read morefrom class to class without even informing parents, which is a serious safety and trust issue. Hygiene is clearly not a priority here--my child was getting sick almost every single week, and it felt like basic things like handwashing were ignored. It comes across as careless and lazy. The final straw was when my child was injured under their supervision, and they took absolutely no responsibility. No answers, no accountability--just excuses. Overall, this has been a terrible experience. I would strongly urge any parent to think twice before trusting this center with their child.

I would recommend any parents who has a child at this particular location Should do a surprise…read morevisit during the day. I feel bad, leaving a negative review, that's not my style. But for the safety and health of these children. The parents really need to be aware of what's going on here. these children are moved around from room to room unbeknownst to the parents. I do not have improper to no equipment for the children ...The teacher - student ratio is inappropriate to say the least. The food ( that parents pay for ) has little to no nutritional value . The things that I've heard firsthand about the administrative staff I know are to be true & not at all exaggerated. They are NOT nice ladies at all.-and I will leave it at that. I can't leave zero stars so I will click on one star, which they do not deserve.PLEASE PARENTS. do your research before bringing your child here or anywhere for that matter.

I've written Google reviews summarizing our terrible experience but they've been magically deleted. Not sure how they did that but I hear that's not easy to do here. Two years ago, in the heart of the pandemic, we began out three year old at this school. I receive a call on day two from Trisha, the main administrator, with a sarcastic laugh "Yeah, sorry this won't work" My son pulled a girl's hair. While I acknowledge this behavior must be corrected and we are disciplinarians, they kicked my son out because he pulled someone's hair? Rather than suggesting extra services (my son had delayed speech for which he received help in the next preschool in Northport), they resorted to abrupt expulsion of a three year old. Outrageous and unfair. My 5 year old of course is now thriving as he received speech therapy. He is well behaved and shame on you for tainting a childhood. God knows what happened in the class that my son is terrified of going back. A security threat? From a three year old? Lazy and unbecoming. Even if you get this review deleted, God is watching you. Ironically.

Before that, we had a nanny that we…read moreloved, but I felt like my son needed to be around other kids and have a bit more structure and formal learning in his day. When we toured TLE East Northport, we immediately felt like it was a warm and inviting space. The Director, Miss Elena, met with us for over an hour and has continued to be engaged and dedicated in conversations about our son's development. In the time he has been at TLE, our son has blossomed and grown in so many ways. From reinforcing learning we do at home, to teaching him so many new and exciting things, the teachers at TLE are kind, professional and most important to me, loving. He has so much fun at school and has been enriched by the friendships he's made and the things he has learned. TLE is truly a wonderful addition to any parents childcare village.

Unfortunately, my experience with this daycare has been very disappointing, and I feel it's…read moreimportant to warn other parents. 1. Teachers' attention. Children are often left without proper supervision, especially when they cry. My child was bitten repeatedly for three weeks in a row. Instead of addressing the issue directly, the administration said they had bought a book for the teachers so they could "learn" how to prevent such situations. But these are basic skills every caregiver should already have when working with children. 2. Food. The menu includes a lot of sweets and processed foods. I personally saw children being given Oreo cookies. There was even a case when the milk was close to spoiling. This is absolutely unacceptable for children's nutrition. 3. Water and milk. Children are regularly given very cold milk and water from the refrigerator. Even when I brought my own water and left it separately, I would still find it in the fridge at the end of the day. As a result, children often get sore throats and coughs. 4. Temperature in the classroom. Several times I noticed that the rooms were very cold: teachers were wearing jackets, while the children sat in shorts and were freezing. This happens quite often and raises serious concerns about the comfort of the environment. 5. Parent communication app. The app almost never works properly. For months, their iPad would shut down after just one hour of use. Even after replacing it, the problem remained -- updates are not entered on time, and parents don't receive information in real time. 6. Formula and basic needs. When my child first started, she was still partially on formula. In the application form, I filled out all the details to help her adapt smoothly. However, I was told that "the daycare doesn't have hot water" to prepare the formula. This is absurd, especially considering they also accept infants. How can a daycare operate without such a basic necessity? After some unpleasant conversations, they eventually allowed it for a while, but the very fact that this was an issue shows a lack of basic readiness and care. Conclusion: In my opinion, this daycare fails to provide the basic safety, nutrition, and comfort that children deserve. Parents considering this option should think very carefully before enrolling their child here.
