Rather than focusing on improving the classroom environment, staff suggested that my child might have a diagnosis, even though they are not qualified to make medical or developmental assessments. I found this inappropriate and concerning. If staff have developmental concerns, they should communicate specific observations respectfully and encourage parents to speak with their child's pediatrician--not suggest diagnoses. I expected a supportive, well-organized, and professional environment, but that was not my experience.

I was very clear about his needs in every conversation I had with them. I called multiple times to provide all the necessary details, and everything seemed perfect for him to start. He began on a Monday--a completely new environment with new peers, he a behavioral complaint. On Tuesday, it was described as a good day. On Wednesday, they said everything was perfect. Then, on Thursday, I got a call from the owner, Margo, telling me they were not a good fit for my son because he required more assistance. I was shocked and devastated, especially since I had explained his needs in detail before enrolling him. I was caught completely off guard in the middle of my workday and had to leave work in tears. What made matters worse was how Margo handled the situation. In the middle of our conversation, she walked out because we disagreed. She claimed that when she went to talk to my son, he didn't acknowledge her, yet when we left, he was saying goodbye to everyone. It wasn't just that the daycare wasn't a good fit for my son; it was the way the situation was handled and the lack of communication and respect throughout the process. I thought it was a good environment, but the lack of communication and respect was incredibly disappointing.

At TLE, they truly go the extra mile to not only make them feel cared for but fully loved. The staff are all so amazing, kind, attentive, and welcoming. They keep the facility very clean and well-maintained. Their curriculum is really well structured and so engaging for the kids; it truly is a "learning" experience. My daughter started going there when she was 2, and just 6 months later, she has learned SO much. I can tell she trusts her teachers, which is so important, and truly adores them (Thank you Ms. Kelsey, Ms. Fatma & Ms. Michele). She loves all the friends she's made and gets so happy to tell me about her day, show me everything she's learning, and everything she created. Miss Chris is an exceptional director! She has so much knowledge and hires the best staff. You can tell she holds them to a high standard. I never worry about if my daughter is getting what she needs while with them. They have taught her so much over the years, and they have appropriate ratios so nobody is overwhelmed by too many kiddos. Seriously, the difference this daycare has made for me is incredible. Everyone is kind, caring, and welcoming. During his time in the infant classroom, he celebrated his first birthday, started crawling, learned sign language, began counting, took his first steps, brought home the cutest crafts, and reached so many other milestones. He comes home every day saying his friends and teachers names, and he is genuinely excited to go to school every morning. As a parent, that's truly all I could ever ask for!! Currently he's 2 and a half so he's in the two year old program. I was nervous when we first registered him because he wasn't separated from anyone besides his family care-givers and I was nervous about how he was going to handle school. At first he was nervous but now that he realizes he'll be picked up he seems to be okay about going. The staff I have dealt with when I drop him off seem to be very nice. Miss Lisa seems to be an awesome teacher. I am nervous because our son has been pushing some of the kids in the class and even though this is normal toddler behavior we are trying to nip it in the but and discourage it. I'm just scared he might get kicked out of the school for it if it's ongoing but we'll see what happens. In short I'm impressed with this school so far, I hope my two year old does not get kicked out so that he may continue his pre-school years at Miss Midgie's.
