As a working professional who has been out of school for some time, preparing to take the GMAT/GRE for graduate school has been a bit of a nightmare. I tried studying independently for a few months, with little success. I then signed up for an expensive group prep course, only to find that the material was covered far too fast, and the homework load was out of scale with my available time. I have had a few sessions with Zach so far, and each one has taught me more about how I learn, and what I need to learn. The one-on-one teaching scenario is exactly what I needed to not be overwhelmed. Each lesson is tailored to work with my own learning style and struggles. Zach has gone out of his way to check in with me between appointments, and create tools that will aid me in my independent studies. I feel more confident about my ability to cover the material needed for the test, and more importantly I feel more emotionally equipped to tackle the learning material that a few months ago felt out of reach. After seeing how Zach has adjusted his learning tactics to suit my specific needs, I feel confident that he would be able to do the same with other students. I would highly recommend Zach to anybody that is struggling with some aspect of their education: studying for a standardized test, catching up in an academic class, or anything else. We've been at EFGB in Cambridge with our two children since September 2017. It's been a wonderful experience. All the teachers are native French speaking and the children are completely immersed in French. They spend their days drawing, playing, singing, reading, and everything you would expect in a high quality preschool. There's even a weekly yoga session! The teachers are warm and engaged. The class sizes are small and the teachers know all of their charges very well. There's a playground attached to the school and they go out every day, even in bad weather. It's been great to get involved with a Francophone community. The parents are engaged and we see each other for holiday parties, birthdays, and playdates; we hope to still be in touch with French friends even as the children grow older and graduate to public schools. The schedule is a little less convenient than a typical daycare for working parents (more like a school schedule, no food provided though that may change soon) but for us, the loss of convenience is more than made up for by the quality of the school and unique ability to have our children's early years be completely bilingual.

The school outperformed my highest expectations. The teachers are top-notch, and they bring students the best of American and French educational systems -- with an emphasis on creativity matched by structured activities and clear rules. The students in our year came from a mix of cross-cultural families, representing 14 countries. The Cambridge campus, which is on the ground floor of a luminous building with warm, bright colors, welcomes kids aged two through six, while the Watertown branch of the school is open to older children. The school's location in North Cambridge was convenient to us, as we work at Harvard and MIT. They also have built in pre-school and after-school care to allow flexibility for working parents, like us. I envied my daughter's activities, which ranged from yoga, expressive dance, singing, painting, reading and numeracy to scrambling in the school's playground with a mix of kids of all ages. The crafts she brought home -- pictures of baobabs, an ant made of an egg carton, an aquarium in a shoe box -- are unique pieces that I treasure. Furthermore, the teachers created a lively Facebook page so we could stay engaged with our child's activities, for example, watching a caterpiller grow and hatch, or witnessing the joys of a group of toddlers getting their first taste of honeycomb. Whether your family are native French speakers or not, you would not regret sending your child to the EFGB. I can't imagine a better school.

The infant and toddler room was safe, teachers communicate well, and are caring. The preschool room (2-3years) was also welcoming, caring teachers, and safe. They take the kids to activities like walks, local parks, and keep them safe. The best experience has been pre-K; They are really a comprehensive Pre K program, with 2 teachers / up to 20 kids, and incorporate reading, writing, science, math, field trips, park, library, swimming.. I have toured other pre-K's including expensive private preK's in newton. None of them were up to par with LCSH. LCSH is both quite affordable for its excellent location, and comprehensive. Diverse students are a plus. The other pre-K's including much more expensive private places like Bright Horizon's do not do field trips, swimming, theatre, yoga etc like LCSH incorporates....so, having toured a bunch of other pre-K I love LCSH the most.. Ms Sandra is the contact / local director and she is pretty busy I am sure responsive when needed. The teachers in Pre K have been also very responsive by the app every day, sharing photos, responding to your questions, etc. And accommodating for example I wanted privacy for bathroom for the kids/ dietary restrictions like gelatin etc they were always aware and made sure to follow the preferences. 10/10 recommend.

Our son has been at Little Corner Schoolhouse (Too location) for almost a year now. He started in…read morethe toddler room and has now moved up to he preschool room. He loves it there and therefore we love it there. The teachers do a great job updating the parent communication app (Brightwheel) and I love getting anywhere from 3-10 photos of him doing fun things throughout the day. A brief update of what they did for the day is also posted in the app. Both toddler and preschool teachers send out a monthly curriculum of the theme for the month and what the kids are learning. This is great because then we can reinforce the same themes at home. They mix it up with activities including periodic yoga and children's musicians. If I were to have any more "wants" it would be to go outside more. They do go on walks and to the playground almost daily, depending on weather. I'm all about outdoor time so I would have them out in a drizzle and even when it's cold -- but, this isn't an outdoor school, and they do spend a good amount of time outside. Other big plusses in my book are low teacher turnover and hours (6:30am-6:30pm). We usually do ~8:30am-6pm but it's nice that it's open earlier for those days when I have an early appointment or it's an exceptionally early wake up. It's a welcoming environment and I'm glad my son is happy to run in to play every day.

The teachers are so caring and have taught our son so much in the year he has been there. We get incredible photos everyday on the app that bring us so much joy.
