You can teach a child very specific skills at any school. Waldorf is helping to develop and nurture children's natural curiosity which is something that can't be found in a textbook. "It's my favorite class!" she's said that many times. Too bad they only let kids enroll who are 5 years or older. They're not able to call so it might be hard to understand when they need to be picked up but classes always last for 60 minutes so that makes up for it. In summary we experienced inaccurate information from the director, an abscense of supervision in the classroom that resulted in injuries, a lack of updates in the daily portal, and an overall lack of parent/teacher communication. We expressed concerns with the lack of structure in the classroom and behavior issues among several kids (ours included). We were told on various occasions "The 2 year old room is chaos" and "The staff is overwhelmed." We were also told our child is copying the other kids and just going through a phase by a teacher's assistant when we would check in. After multiple kids were placed on "behavior plans" (ours included) we were told our child hasn't shown enough improvement in behavior and we will need to leave with a week's notice. The very next day our child was pushed to the ground, climbed on and scratched all over his neck and face by another child. We were told the incident "Got rough, and the other child is on a behavior plans and was sent home for the day". We are at a new daycare and seeing their day to day operation, I am so impressed by how the classroom operates calmly and smoothly throughout the day. There is proper supervision in the classroom and we have not had any behavior issues with our child or any other child at our new school/classroom. There was no structure, leadership, guidance & supervision in the 2 year old classroom at Bundle of Joy.

What is the child to adult ratio? Kids are running about and not being reprimanded. Yes, I was there long enough to observe such behavior. As to the reviews, I believe everyone is intitled to their opinion! But these issues should've been addressed by management and not taken lightly rather than unjustly dismiss a Child from your care center. Who is in charge? Management or your so called teachers? My son started at TLC around his second birthday. He at the time had a very small vocabulary and…read morenot much interaction with other children. Within a few weeks, my son was thriving socially and coming home with a much stronger vocabulary. The teachers have always been amazing and loving to my son. They really put in effort to make sure the environment is focused on teaching, manners and behaved free play. The lesson plans are followed through with just enough time for indoor and outdoor play. This daycare ( I call it school because of its high focus of learning) would be a perfect fit for a parent wanting best for their children, educationally and socially. As much as I want my child to be smart, I also want him to be a well rounded- good person and the learning connection has the same goal in mind for each child.
