My friend had recommended tutoring club to me several years ago. I thought it was something I can help by working with him. It was stressful because it affected our relationship. We had an "okay" experience. Child goes into a room. Ratio is maybe 1:4 students and they go on the internet to do a quiz. When they are done, the tutor reviews their wrong answers. The billing system is a bit strict. They want automatic bank transfers. If you want to take a summer vacation, you would stop billing and then pay a $75+ fee to reinstate tutoring upon returning from vacation. read more

We started Tutoring Club for our son in Kindergarten, mostly to help with learning to read (cause he would get frustrated trying to practice at home and would just refuse to do it with us). It worked out great and he's been going for more than a year now. He learned how to read quickly and has continued to progress each week. We're now switching him over to the math program since he's been really interested to start that too. Overall, we highly recommend Tutoring Club if you're looking for some help in these subjects, even if your kids are young. We have enjoyed our time at TC over the past 1-1/2 years. My son was doing ok at Math but we wanted him to be prepared to do well in high school and felt he needed some one on one and we did not feel comfortable in the new curriculum to be able to sit down with him and explain it in the same way the schools expect them to learn it. TC started with the fundamentals and basics and now he is on his way to being a confident and prepared math student as he leaves middle school and looks forward to high school. TC has also been very helpful with periodic check ins to discuss his progress and what they are planning for him. I am a upcoming college student who took this club when I was in second grade. Yes I know, second grade. But tutoring club helped me tremendously with my school work, and preparing myself academically. My daughter started her Tutoring club since August 2015 when she was in the 7th grade for just a reading subject. At that time, she was really struggling in comprehensive reading and almost lost her confidence. Then after thriving with TC one year, with no doubt, she (my daughter herself) made her decision to go along with TC for her Math as well. Ever since, she has been staying with the TC for almost 4 years now, she is now in Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory and getting ready for the SAT test. During the years, the TC program has not just strengthened her weakest subject - reading, but also further improved her advanced math skills. She successfully enrolled in the Honor algebra at SHC to start with her 9th grade. She is also getting help from the tutor in regards to the new subject - Chemistry and which made her enrolled in her AP Chemistry successfully for the coming 11th grade. Three students with one tutor, patience with the encouragement are the specialty here. She currently is taking some practice SAT tests during the summer. Mr. A & the team are the best! Tutoring Club has been such a fantastic addition to our son's middle school experience over the last year. The complement to the core curriculum education by focusing on developing foundational skills had been invaluable to his understanding and success in math. And having the additional exposure to verbal and reading comprehension skills helps him prepare for high school. The small online classes and instructors have been fantastic and have given him practical tools which have excited him on subjects have been traditionally frustrating. They also helped him prepare for standardized testing which had been a challenge. The prep paid off! Our son's confidence has dramatically increased, his test scores skyrocketed, and we will continue to use Tutoring Club to at the end of the summer to get ready for school and the transition to high school. read more

My daughter has been going to SF Tutoring Club for 2 1/2 years now for math and she has made so much progress. We started her in 5th grade, when she was struggling in math class. She had so much trouble grasping concepts and teachers were so overwhelmed, it was difficult for her learn and keep up in the class. Now in 7th grade, she is ahead in her math class, having learned most of the 7th grade concepts months ago. She enjoys her weekly sessions, is more confident and is challenged by new math problems versus being intimidated by them. I have sent her to numerous math tutoring programs and this is the only one that has worked for her. It is amazing how confident she is now with her math skills. I absolutely recommend this place! The Tutoring Club is so great. I'm currently an incoming senior, and I've been coming to the Tutoring Club since the 6th grade. Throughout the years, he program not only strengthened my reading comprehension, my weakest subject, but they also further improved my already advanced math skills. There are only three students assigned to one tutor, and all the tutors are super nice and tend to your needs. I've also been able to take some practice SAT and ACT tests. Mr. A is the best! If I could give the tutoring club 10 stars I would! Currently my two kids attend the tutoring club 3 times a week! They have improved tremendously in reading and are thriving now in 1st grade. Attending tutoring club was the best thing we did! Mr A is wonderful, very personable and takes time getting to know each child from the first time we sat and met him.
