The architectural structure of their froyo is impeccable. Whoever had aux kept it banging. 10/10.

This place has been around for AGES!!!! My parents shopped here and so did my grandparents... I'm…read morepretty sure its sort of a family run place as they dont really advertise much and seems like everything is word of mouth. However the whole slavic communities of Winnipeg shop here so the quality is TOPPP notch. Definitly my go to place for meats on Saturday mornings, they have all the best cuts. Janek is the meat shop owner and that man is seriously one of the most passionate chefs out there, a TRULY traditional character (if you're lucky he may even offer you a shot). I believe its the last natural smoke house left in the city, every saturday morning Janek smokes all his meat fresh at 4 am so his customers are very satisfied with freshness. No liquid smoke at all... as I have stomach issues and cant have chemicals or preservatives. Anyways, but if you ever have a chance to order off their catering menu.. WOOOOW! is all I can say. Seriously next level food! The cabbage rolls are something out of a fairy tale, I didn't even know I liked cabbage rolls until I tried this place. Obviously all the traditional food is wonderful, the stuffed beef tenderloin melts in your mouth, and the chicken kiev or stufffed pork roast is FANTASTIC.. well practically all the meats melt in your mouth. PRICE POINT IS CHEAP!!!!! seriously this place has the cheapest prices in the city for nearly everything. Do yourself a favour and try this place for your next catering. Although they do have weird hours- friday and saturday is your best bet.

I'm surprised that there are absolutely no reviews of this place. Apparently it's been around for a…read morelong time and it looks old school. This is a Polish market and basically all of the customers speak Polish (except for my wife and I). The sausages are excellent and all natural. They carry great chicken smokies and salami. On Saturday mornings they have an incredible feast. There are a variety of meats available if you get there early enough. Some must haves are the "croquetta" which come in meat and sauerkraut varieties. I personally like the sauerkraut over the meat. There is also the schnitzel and the rolled bacon. Overall this is a meat lover's paradise. There aren't a lot of beef options. Mostly pork and the occasional chicken on Saturdays. If you get 4 or more "croquettas", you also get a free borsht soup. It's a clear soup that is traditionally sipped in a coffee mug. It's become one of my favourite butcher shops in the city.
