They have a wide assortment of Asian products such as rice noodles, beef/cuttlefish/fish balls, BBQ pork, miso soup, tofu, etc. Produce isn't of the best quality, but they are definitely cheaper than your No Frills/Safeway alternative, so take it or leave it. Personally I purchase most of my produce from Young's even though I live in Osborne (and have a Safeway 5 min walk from my house). If you're wearing a backpack entering the store, you'll have to put it at the front. The cashier at the front will tell you where to leave it. Definitely a place I will shop frequently, especially coming from someone who misses Asian cuisine.

They have lots of fresh local produce, cheeses, jams, bakery items from local bakeries such as le croissant and l'epi de ble. The fresh baguettes ($2.49) remind me of Paris! And the cinnamon buns (package 6 for $5.49) are perfect - fluffy, moist cinnamon buns (no raisins) and just enough icing (I don't like it overloaded with icing). The recent in season strawberries were delicious $18.99 for a basket or $6.99 for a quart, quart BC cherries $6. The bouquets of flowers are gorgeous and same goes for their small garden/nursery area. Staff are bilingual and really this place reminds me of a much smaller version of Montreal's Jean Talon market. Service is really nice. There's a frequent buyer card where you get a stamp for each $20 purchase. After collecting 15 stamps you can a discount - either $10 or $15 off.

This is a Polish market and basically all of the customers speak Polish (except for my wife and I). The sausages are excellent and all natural. They carry great chicken smokies and salami. On Saturday mornings they have an incredible feast. There are a variety of meats available if you get there early enough. Some must haves are the "croquetta" which come in meat and sauerkraut varieties. I personally like the sauerkraut over the meat. There is also the schnitzel and the rolled bacon. Overall this is a meat lover's paradise. There aren't a lot of beef options. Mostly pork and the occasional chicken on Saturdays. If you get 4 or more "croquettas", you also get a free borsht soup. It's a clear soup that is traditionally sipped in a coffee mug. It's become one of my favourite butcher shops in the city.
