I had struck out at just about every high-end department store you can think of, and couldn't even find a decent to try on anywhere I had gone. Gipper Prom has a large selection, with most inventory displayed on mannequins instead of just on hangers. There's no lugging around 10lb dresses, you just write the style number and color up on a slip they give you when you first walk in, and when you're done, they bring it to your dressing room. And it IS a room, with a locking door, so no worrying about that big dress leaving you exposed as you turn around. They had several associates at the dressing room, ready to help zip, clasp or adjust when needed, and they make sure the walkway is clear for you to move about. Since most people do not go dress shopping alone, they thoughtfully have ample seating and complimentary water for the poor soul you may have dragged along with you. Seating is arranged several feet behind a wall lined with mirrors, each section accompanied by a platform and appropriate lighting. The platform is likely useful for any tailoring needed, but I just used it to make my significant other nervously rate me in each of the 10 or so dresses I tried on. The staff didn't pressure you to buy, nor did anyone look at my long list of dresses like I was wasting their time or making their life terrible for no reason. The people working were friendly, and the other customers and their guests were also all cheery. Dress shopping can be a nightmare - hot, cramped, nothing fitting the way you hope, sizing not available, etc. But not the case here - and the other women shopping seemed to feel the same as me. Customers were openly complimenting each other, and the entire atmosphere was very warm. I can't rate their ability to modify or make minor fixes to beading, etc. The dress I purchased was perfect without anything needed. Overall, I was more than impressed. If you're an adult, well - clearly we aren't going to the prom, but this is a great store for many other events including pageants, galas, black tie or formal parties, or any time you can get away with being a little "extra," or are in need of a good selection of floor-length, high-quality formalwear. I had and am still having an awful experience with Debra. From the beginning she was hard to communicate with. At first, I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt because she had mentioned that she would be having some surgeries and would be trying to get the alterations done before then. But I regret giving her my dress at all. She never knew who I was or what she was altering for me whenever I spoke with her regarding my dress. This was a big red flag but she already had my dress. She was very forceful/rude when it came to payments being in cash only and constantly reminded me of this fact. The alterations she was going to do were adding a bustle, shortening the straps, replacing the zipper, fixing the snags on the lace, and adding cups. The buttons and hooks she added for the bustle are sloppily sewn on and make the fabric pucker and it does not lay correctly. They are also not evenly placed. There is also one hook missing. She did not shorten the straps (or she didn't shorten them enough because they still fall off my shoulders) or fix the snags. The zipper replacement was also very sloppy. You can see the zipper through my dress and it is crooked. I've spoken to another seamstress since and she confirms that the work is bad and very sloppy. As you can imagine, this was all very upsetting to me when I finally tried on my dress. Which she didn't mention that I should do before picking up the dress. My mom picked it up for me and I didn't have a final fitting. Not only was all of the sloppy work upsetting, but I also spent almost $300 on alterations that I will just have to have fixed by someone else. She also charged me for the cups to be added in but she did not finish the work. She wanted to wait to add the cups because they don't fair well in the dry cleaning process. At the time, I thought that waiting on the cups was fine because I assumed I would be going back to her to finish my alterations. I will not be returning to her for future work. I contacted Debra on more than one occasion to share my concerns and ask for a refund and her response further confirms that she does not know who I am and she does not remember my dress. She said that I had a final fitting with her and that I did not voice any of these concerns. As I stated earlier in my review, I did not have a final fitting. She never mentioned having one and rushed me to pick up the dress because she was having a surgery. Because I couldn't get there in her time frame, my mom picked up my dress for me. She did refund me the amount for the cup installation. Even if it doesn't come close to what I will have to pay to get it all fixed. I understand that she was having some surgeries but she should not have taken me on as a client if she could not deliver quality work. Debra is unprofessional and does not take the time to even try to know the client she is talking to.

Fold were correct. My shirts actually looked newer than when I dropped them off! I knew I was going to need this dress to be tailored. The only issue was I needed a VERY fast turn around time, as I needed this dress to be ready by 4 PM the same day! They took a look at my dress and gave me a solution. The prices & rush fee were EXTREMELY REASONABLE!!! My dress was done within 1 hour of me dropping it off. And I felt like a princess!! I found Zeglio by accident years ago when I needed to get a cheap tuxedo altered for my sister's wedding. When I walked in, I was quickly greeted by Richard. He happily suggested a nearby place for alterations, but before I left, he put one of Zeglio's bespoke jackets on me to show me the difference in fit. When I left that day, I knew I wanted to have my wedding tuxedo created by these people. When that day finally came, I called Zeglio's Lakeview location to begin the process. My call was warmly answered by Richard and the experience began. Richard is an incredibly talented and knowledgeable designer. During the design portion, he was informative, patient, and considerate, which made the whole experience really enjoyable. I did my fitting and alterations at Zeglio's store in Loop. The place is super slick inside and the tailors really make you feel important: from the professionalism all the way to the small details most people would overlook, but makes a HUGE difference (suggesting I have the length of one of my shirt sleeves shorter than the other so my watch can be visible or altering the length of my pants so my socks show when I'm sitting down). Just an amazing attention to detail! My tuxedo only required a few minor adjustments. When I finally put everything on I was shocked at how flawless everything felt--I've never worn anything that has fit me so perfectly. This tuxedo made my wedding experience so much better. I wasn't nervous because I knew I looked good! It's amazing how your confidence is affected by the clothing you wear in a situation.
