Well, I kept calling trying to find out what the price would be to fix my washer, and was hung up on, and was told it had other issues that mine didn't have (leaking door?). And, the fella answering phones told me I should just buy a new washer. I asked for my $79 back being they clearly had me confused with someone with a leaking door and were not planning to fix my machine, and the man got nasty with me. Then the same guy called back claiming to be a different person and a manager to boot. He said the previous guy who was nasty had me confused with someone else and demanded I remove a review on Thumbtack. He said my issue was a control card $400 with their service fee which is $500. I told him it would be less to buy a new machine and again asked for my $79 back. He talked over me and kept insisting I take a review down in order to get my money back. I told him, I expected my money back first and was contacting the attorney generals office because it seems scammy that I was confused with another person whose issue they also couldn't fix for less than the cost of a new machine, and they didn't want to refund the $79 assessment fee for them either. He started yelling over anything I said, so I hung up on him. He then continued to call untill I blocked him. Then he kept calling from other numbers harassing me further. The guy calling claimed his name was David, had a heavy accent, and wanted to yell at me and felt I should take abuse from him??? At this point I'm reporting all of this to the BBB and the attorney generals office, because my card says they didn't charge back the 79$. All I wanted was a receipt emailed to me that this charge was refunded, but he refused to do it! Here is the list of numbers this man kept calling me from until I blocked them all!
