She advised when placing her order that the flowers need to be blues and whites, as her late husbands wishes. They sent cream and lavender, highlighted with greenery. This arrangement arrived the morning of the event, so my mother called the store to see what can be done and spoke with a clerk who actually had the nerve to argue with her ! I tried all kinds of FTD florists but no one delivered to Hawthorne!!! Finally, I found THE ONLY florist in Hawthorne and called them. There was a beautiful pink and white heart spray on her web site that I knew my friend would have loved! The lady I spoke with said that she couldn't guarantee it to be EXACTLY like the one pictured but that she would do everything she could to get it as close as possible. Now mind you, it was TWO DAYS before the 11:00 A.M. funeral when we talked over the phone! The next day she called me and told me that she thought I'd be happy when I saw it. She said it turned out very nice but that the FRIEND ribbon I wanted her to include didn't look right on the small stand so she put it on a taller stand and wrapped the ribbon around the stand so you could read it better. I didn't know what to expect and initially was hesitant about spending so much money on flowers. Deb was wonderful to work with. She spent maybe 3-4 hours talking to me on the phone about my vision, pulled together sketches, shared photos with one another.. ahead of deciding to move forward. I thought that everything was reasonably priced from a wedding standpoint... but it was the day-of that blew me away. I felt like I was getting more than I was paying for by how gorgeous everything turned out. She made me GORGEROUS floral arches that grew upwards from the ground. Our family paid $903.84 for two floral arrangements from Carson City Florist, to be delivered for…read moreour mother's burial service, but they were never received. Carson City Florist's owner, Tom Jones refused to refund any of our money. He claimed it was not his fault due to errors made by Walton's Funeral Home. However, his story includes the fact that he misdelivered the floral arrangements to the wrong casket, and failed to confirm the name of the person in the casket, who was not our mother, which was clearly listed on his work order. None of that is due to any fault of ours. We are simply a family in mourning. We can't re-do the burial. We should at the very least receive a refund. Walton's Funeral Home offered to refund us their cost of the burial service, $595. We felt that was fair and accepted their offer. Carson City Florist Tom Jones refuses to even discuss refunding us the balance of $308.84. He stated outright that he will not refund any amount without us taking him to court. Small claims court costs $111 to file, plus the cost of a process server. To date, we have not received an apology nor a refund in any amount for products and services that we paid for and never received from Carson City Florist.
