Absolutely furious with this store. My mother ordered a $200 flower arrangement to be delivered today for her late husbands Celebration of Life gathering. She advised when placing her order that the flowers need to be blues and whites, as her late husbands wishes. They sent cream and lavender, highlighted with greenery. This arrangement arrived the morning of the event, so my mother called the store to see what can be done and spoke with a clerk who actually had the nerve to argue with her ! Instead of saying "how can we fix this" she offered no solutions. My mother called me in tears! We had to drive to Safeway to search for an arraingment just before guest were to arrive. I ordered sight unseen from Galena Forest Flowers, a number in Yelp , a spray for a service dedicating ashes to the columbarium of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. The all white arrangement was far more beautiful than I had envisioned. I took a couple of the roses and lily's home afterwards and they lasted for another two weeks!!! The lily's were first to go, but the roses were brilliantly fresh looking up until the very last day! Yesterday, we found out our auntie and uncle in Reno lost their furbaby who was the best companion any human can ask for. Being 3 hours away in CA, I hurriedly scrambled to find a florist in Reno to send our condolences. However, all the florists were closed yesterday and most were also closed today. I searched and found this florist that had incredibly beautiful arrangements (very similar to the style of a florist I use for myself here in the Bay Area). Galena was closed yesterday by the time I found them but I had the option of placing an online order for a delivery today. I went with my gut and placed the order. I literally called about 10 mins ago to check in on the status and a lady named Liz stated it should have already been received and if not definitely within the next 20 minutes. Kid you not, 3 minutes after hanging up I get a text from our auntie and uncle and they thanked us and showed a pic of the amazing floral arrangement. Impressive! I'm so glad I found this boutique florist. They delivered on time and delivered what was shown on their website, except better! I ordered the Hilda Deluxe. Don't waste your time and money with these florists that outsource to the "don't give a crap" bigger companies. You get what you pay for. I wanted to send a friend a special bouquet for her birthday and this shop was able to get a same-day delivery out. I asked for something special and I asked for a photo before delivery. They said they would try to do a photo if they had time, which they didnt. I was kind of bummed as most florist are really accommodating and don't mind at all. When they went to deliver the arrangement I got a text saying he recipient wasnt home and that they could deliver it 2 days later or she could go pick it up. I thought that was really strange. I asked if they could leave it on the porch and they said sure. Then I asked for confirmation and texted twice to make sure it would be the same day and asked for an ETA. nobody ever replied. I chose a white orchids and they were abolutely GORGEOUS!!!!! Our friends said that they had never received anything so beautiful in their entire life and that it made their Birthday celebration the most memorable of them all. They sent me a picture of the flowers and the elegant design took my breath away. I wanted them to be special so I went for the upgraded arrangment and it was way more than I could have possibly imagined for what I paid...well worth the expense and then some. A friend in Reno had to have emergency surgery on Monday and I wanted to have flowers delivered on Wednesday to her home when she returned. I reviewed Galena's website and saw the "Large Potted Orchid" for $96 which is the "standard" option. There were also upgrade buttons to make the items "Deluxe" or "Premium". No explanation is given for what you receive for the upgrade so I called to inquire. I was told that standard would be 2 stems, deluxe was 4 stems and premium was 6 stems. I opted for the deluxe with 4 stems and felt fine about completing my order. Today, my friend send a pic thanking me for the beautiful orchid. To my surprise, the pic of the orchid had only 2 stems, rather than 4 and a pot that looks much smaller than what is pictured on the website. I will attach what they advertise and what was actually delivered. You will see that it looks like something you could pick up at the grocery store for no more than $20. Note some of the blooms look like they as starting to curl a bit too. Well, I paid a grand total of $143.77 for this jewel, after delivery and taxes. I called Galena Florist to ask why the orchid delivered did not appear to be the "deluxe" version with 4 stems I was promised and ordered on Monday. The person I spoke with apologized for the "miscommunication" and ask what I wanted them to do. I said I wanted a refund between the cost of standard and deluxe. After being put on hold, I was told they could "allow for a store credit". I explained that I do not live in Reno and that a store credit would be of no use for me. I only wanted to pay for the standard version since it did not have 4 stems. Then a person named Liz got on the phone. Basically she stuck to her guns about offering a store credit, rather than a refund for the difference. By the way, the credit we are talking about is a whopping $10! I told her it was ridiculous that I have no use for a $10 credit for use on the other side of the country. She tells me that their website is hosted by a company "Bloomnation" and that I could complain to them. She get louder and tells me to look at my email receipt. The receipt has the Galena logo at the top and at the bottom says "We are a premier florist on Bloomnation". I reply that may be true, but the website has their name on it, offers no description for upgrades and that is why I called for clarification on Monday. Liz then snaps, starts yelling and accuses me of "berating" her employees and really because uninteligible. At no point did I ever curse, raise my voice or call anyone names during the call. I told her to keep the $10 and suggested she try mediation to manage her behavior. She hung up. The moral to this story is, DO NOT TRUST THAT GALENA FLORIST WILL DELIVER WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!! Be sure to get a pic from the person who receives it. Next time, I will see if Instacart can deliver an orchid from Safeway and save myself $100. read more

I wanted to try something and have the flowers delivered to someone I had just met but had limited information. The delivery driver called me and the business had no one listed by my name so he brought the flowers to my house and I asked him to go back to the business and try another name and it worked!
