Would give zero stars if it was possible. Went to TCPC after living with 10 years of severe Lumbar…read moreradiculopathy affecting my left leg. Met with a NP, who told me that she would never prescribe anything for the pain and that the intrathecal pain pump was my only option. I had previously tried the spinal cord stimulator with failing results. After the "trial" I ended up with a spinal fluid leak, leading to excruciating headaches. After days of calling, they finally scheduled a procedure to fix the leak. I should have seen the signs then, but was so hopeful to have relief. Had the pain pump installed and thought everything was fine and I would finally live with less pain. Little did I know, the pump would be empty before the date they told me to come back on and I was forced to endure morphine withdrawals on my own. Phone calls went unanswered and portal messages ignored. When my NP finally responded to me via the portal, she blamed the emptying on me. Fast forward to round 2, I asked for a medication change due to the side effects I was experiencing, was given the change but again was forced to withdrawal because they will not return phone calls asking for a fill. I am so done, I will have the pump removed and learn to live in pain. Do your homework!!!

My primary physician here is actually Nurse Practitioner Kristin Bleninger-Sundar. She's a wonderful caring woman who has been a blessing to me. She understands what chronic pain is (and what it's like to have to deal with it every day) better than others. She's knowledgeable about the many different options and procedures that can be tried to get you even more pain relief than you can ever hope for. Dr. Janiga is a ray of sunshine for the doctors here. He is kind, caring, and has an awesome bedside manner and really knows what he's doing but takes time to talk to you about what he's doing and make sure that you are both on the same page. Now, a doctor I leave nameless here, only as a courtesy, if you choose to go here you may or may not get along with but most patients (and staff) I talk to feel the same distain I have for him. He is rude, short (tempered), snotty, and deserves to be put in his place really, but will never change even if that were to occur. I'm sure you know the type. He has the bedside manner of a dead fish and the personality of a cold washcloth. If you have seen him then you know who I am talking about! If you have seen him and found yourself hating him, please give the other people here a chance to help you. Everyone else here is wonderful! Just come and give the chance to Kristin or Dr. Janiga and the rest of the staff and as long as you don't see the other doctor at all the rest of your care here should be pleasant

We checked in for my partner's hernia surgery, and our experience was truly wonderful from start to…read morefinish. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with warmth and joy, immediately putting us at ease. Communication was clear and thorough every step of the way, and the level of care provided was exceptional. The entire team was compassionate, attentive, and professional--you could genuinely tell they enjoy what they do and care deeply about their patients. Before surgery, while waiting in the waiting room, a nurse came in and thoughtfully offered my 3-year-old a coloring sheet, a teddy bear, and colored pencils. Such a small gesture, but incredibly sweet and so meaningful for a little one in a medical setting. What stood out most was the personal touch throughout the entire experience. Every team member addressed me by name, and Dr. John even took the time to personally call me to let me know the surgery went well. That call brought immense comfort and reassurance during a stressful moment. The facility itself is large and well-equipped, with a gift shop, cafeteria, pharmacy, and other medical offices all within the building. Parking was a bit challenging--the lot is large and was full, and no matter where you park, there is a fair walk to the building--but once inside, the experience more than makes up for it. While heading to the pharmacy, I accidentally went up to the second level when it's actually located on the first. A kind woman who worked there noticed I was lost and not only redirected me, but walked me all the way to the pharmacy, even though it was a bit of a distance. Along the way, she made small talk with my toddler, engaging him and making him feel seen and excited. That kindness did not go unnoticed. My son and I left for the duration of the surgery, which lasted a few hours. When we returned, staff even offered my son a popsicle. We declined, but once again I found myself thinking--how genuinely kind and thoughtful are these people? From check-in to discharge, we felt supported, informed, and cared for as a family. We are incredibly grateful for such a positive experience and would highly recommend this team and facility to anyone seeking quality, compassionate care.

I had surgery earlier in the day. My incision started bleeding, phoned doctor, told to go to…read moreurgent care. Went, refused to treat me, sent me to ER, sat bleeding for 2.5 hours all over myself. Other patients came and went. Told nurse desk I could go home and bleed to death and I left. Blood squirting by the time I got home. Husband drove me to Mercy in Coon Rapids. They had no rooms available in the ER but put me on a bed in the hallway, which was fine and worked on me for several hours. Thought an artery was nicked and had to give me 6 injections of blood clotting medications. Finally stopped bleeding. I will never go back to North Memorial Maple Grove again. My second bad experience at that ER!
