Hurricane Irene really took a toll on 20 foot hole. Most of the stream (and much of VT for that…read morematter) was devistated from huge flash flooding and the swimming hole was filled in with mud, silt,and rocks. Some of the locals have been trying to restore the swimming hole by scooping out the mud with buckets. I will update more this summer on this progress.

After the pool inspection was completed, which was the 1st week of November, I began calling companies but none of the pool companies around the Albany area would come out and do it except Cypress Pools. Cindy and Renee were very friendly and accommodating and schedule the pool closing immediately. They did not over charge or add an extra fee knowing many of the other companies would no longer provide the service. Cypress pools were understanding of the situation, honest, professional and the price quoted was exactly what they charged; no last minute add on. Thank you to the team at Cypress Pools especially Cindy who made a stressful home sale very smooth in the pool area. So the State Seal Spring is the marquee destination here, but for something worse-tasting but more unique the Geyser spring is within the same structure. Unfortunately the Charlie spring near the SPAC entrance wasn't flowing as of mid-December. The pine trees get five stars. I wish there were bathrooms available but that could be a seasonal thing. The park is technically reachable by bus but you might have to a wait a bit.
