I went in to buy a nice bottle of whiskey for my husband for a gift without much knowledge of that particular spirit. I was going to purchase a bottle of Johnnie Walker blue label because I had heard of it. The employee asked me what kinds of alcohol my husband normally drinks and then spent about 20 mins helping me select a bottle that would fit his drinking profile much better and it cost me less than half the price. I appreciated his help as he walked me through a wide range of options and educated me on whiskey scotch & bourbon. He didn't just try to make a big sale. He even put a nice bow on the bottle for me. We've been to this location multiple times and have always had such a great experience. Staff is friendly, always ready to help, and they all tend to know alcohol very well. We really enjoy their liquor section but I am disappointed by the limited amount of wine options they have. It's shocking to me that target has a better selection of wines, but besides that, they are superior in their vodka, gin, and whiskey selections. Every time we come, I feel like they have something new or seasonal. It's fun when you don't really know what you want and you can leave trying something you didn't expect to. I also want to give them major props for their covid precautions, they take them seriously which is nice. read more

One of the new additions to the Alamo Ranch area and it's nice to see a very well organized store that's extremely easy to find what you want. The beer selection isn't what I would have liked to see but it works better than going to H-E-B for a quick trip to the store. Social distancing guides are set up and work very well. read more

I highly recommend that you go anywhere else but here. Buddy informed me of a bottle of bourbon that the store had but when I went to buy one the manager would not sell me one. Manager keeps any bourbon that is even just slightly allocated in the back for any of the guys willing to flirt with him and maybe do a little extra. I personally as a man am not willing to hit on another man for a bottle of bourbon. There are other total liquors that are fair and put bottles on the shelf for everyone this just isn't one. read more

Daniel, the sales associate at the Alamo Ranch store did not like my purchase. I wanted Texas vodka- Dripping Springs and Tito's. Daniel wanted me to buy something I had never heard of. Daniel man-splained to me that Tito's isn't a Texas product which is an absolute lie. He was a complete know it all jerk. If you go in, be prepared for the up-sale, because Daniel knows what you need- you really don't. read more
