First week here I tried stopping at the local convenience stores, and wasn't able to find a single beer worth buying. Hillbilly juice, and soda. I was about to panic, till I realized that there was a liquor store right outside my backdoor. Had an interesting fun name, and was certainly going to be better than my previous store experiences. I went ahead and gave the place a try with full optimism. To my surprise, i had found the Oasis I was looking for! A good assortment of quality Beer at a great price! Pale Ales, Stouts, Porters, and everything else. Foreign and Local. Friendly service, Neighborly feel, and wide assortment of spirits. I haven't dived in to all the spirit selection, but seems to have all my favorites. If you are like me and live close, drink only the best, but don't want to have to walk through an HEB. Then Give FriDaze a try. You can't go wrong!

They carry spirits from local distilleries and I think that's cool for a small business in Kyle. The owner apparently also owns a landscaping/ handyman service. Staff is friendly and made sure we got what we were looking for. He even checked in the back to see if they had it chilled. Definitely making this my new spot for toothpix!

For about 20 years one constant in San Marcos was that you could roll up to the Yellow Store for the cheapest gas in town... and the price on the sign was 2-3 cents cheaper when you got to the pump. Went there last Tuesday... not only was it not the cheapest in town, it was 20 cents more expensive than H‑E‑B a few blocks away. First they knock down Triple Crown... then Paper Bear closes... now this. At least we can still find a legendary Bloody Mary at The Showdown.

Its right on the corner of Common & Union St. Buyer beware ! I don't normally review convenient stores, so why am I reviewing this one ? What makes this one so special ?
